A quick check of the Frances Jaye website let me know that they appreciate and support sustainable and ethical brands, which is always awesome to see. The prices may be higher than your average mall, but you get what you pay for. They have men's and women's clothing, accessories, home goods, cards, books, and gift items. I particularly loved the Holland shirts that were modern and stylized. I ended up buying a fancy wick trimmer as we seem to have a surplus of candles these days, as well as two cute holiday cards featuring cat illustrations, because #crazycatlady I loved this little shop and will absolutely stop in every time I'm in the area!

This store is my dream closet…read more It's essentially an even-more-unique Madewell, with carefully curated items. Everything is a bit pricey, but it's clearly well-made and styled. They have amazing jewelry, clothes, and accessories here. I got a really cute star choker that I wear constantly. I always stop in this store when we're visiting downtown Holland but haven't been able to purchase anything else.

NO ONE else was shoping in the store.... no one.... i walked up to the counter to ask a couple questions on how the work account works. Stood there, in plain sight if her 2 feet away. Waited... and waited for her to ACKNOWLEDGE me. After she shuffled around papers on the counter, I broke the ice and asked a question. Apparently, she didnt want to help. Gave short answers and I just walked away. Went to look around, came back to the counter stood there for what felt like eternity with he LEGITIMATELY IGNORING ME!! After standing right next to her waiting for her to acknowledge.... i asked her something. She still did not even LOOK at me. I then asked her - AM I BOTHERING YOU?? I was impressed by a large variety of extended sizes toward the back of the store (never available at other boutiques!) Items were on trend. Note: there is NO BATHROOM there. However, the neighboring businesses are super kind and allow you to use their facilities.

A "Proven Winner" at $4.49 and several flat cubes were flowers that had no roots at all. Upon removing them, only the tiniest bit of root came out, no soil, and of course they were not worth planting but I tried. When they died I tried to get an exchange. I observed this problem in many flats that I checked. The cashier was not remotely sympathetic - did not express any apology or offer to have the manager contact me. Just matter-of-factly stated that I would have to come back and talk with the manager because they don't offer returns. I understand nursery items are unique in regard to a return policy, but what is a customer supposed to do? Pull out all of the individual plants and check for roots before purchasing? A standard policy would have kept the cashier from being borderline rude and me having to return. I promptly put my new cart of selections back and left. I don't know about anyone else, but I spend a lot on annuals every year and any that I have to throw out leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Not great service at all. I've worked in retail and numerous customer service positions. Just…read moreawful. My best friend was stressed the whole time until the wedding because of this company. We went to the store and called them several times before the wedding when issues started arising. One girl in the store tried to claim she did not even work there as she stood behind the Caela Scott reception counter. When we asked for the manager we were told she only comes in twice a week. The shipment order for all the groomsmen's altered tuxes kept being pushed back every week to the point where they did not arrive until three days before the wedding. The store did not even call the bride once all the tuxes had finally arrived at the store, she had to call them. The bride's father, walked her down the aisle in jeans. This occurred because the tux pants were sent with holes in the pockets and a hole in the crotch area the first time. Then, we tried to get a new pair of pants, shipped overnight, since everything barely arrived the week of the wedding, we were told the overnight fee would be waived. However, we learned from the Bride's dad that Caela Scott called and told them there would be an additional overnight charge for the shipping of the second pair of pants. Hence we were lied to. Same thing with other groomsmen's pants. The bride's dad's tux coat that they sized and altered when finally arrived, was a completely different size that did not fit. Then we discovered a large vertical stain on the back of the groom's coat jacket. Overall an awful experience that the bridal party and everyone in attendance will not recommend to anyone. Ever. Weddings are stressful enough as it is and Caela Scott honestly made it worse.

I love this resale store. I can almost find at least one thing to buy when I come here. Plus they…read moresupport and donate to the animal shelter. I will always support that. I've noticed lately that the other resale shops are getting more pricey whereas this place stays pretty aligned and reasonable with gently used items for sale. They also have cats that free roam the shop and they're very sweet, but if you are allergic, you may want to think twice. Anyway, I've found some really great household items here and some gently used baby items too. Overall, recommend!
