She was such great support throughout my pregnancy and as a first time mom, her childbirth education course made me feel ready (or as ready as you can be) and empowered for an unmedicated birth center birth. From day one, Jordan made it a point to get to know my wife and I so that she could really support us collectively and individually on this journey. She was a calming voice during labor and delivery and went above and beyond afterwards to make sure we felt supported and cared for. She has a plethora of knowledge and resources that can help you with whatever you may need. When my son had trouble latching she connected me with an incredible IBCLC who completely transformed my breastfeeding journey. We are 6 months into this journey and thriving. After our son was born, Jordan continued as our postpartum doula. She's amazing - from holding him and giving us a break so we could take a nap to washing dishes and folding newborn laundry - Jordan continued making us feel supported and cared for. She was also a listening ear whenever I felt overwhelmed or just wanted to talk about all the new things I was experiencing. 5 stars is not enough. I can't recommend Jordan and her services enough. We appreciated that she took the time to really get to know my partner and myself through out the process. She took the time to get know our needs and and helped us set up a birth plan we were comfortable with. We decided to take her full workshop, where we gained all the information we could need for the birthing process, pregnancy, postpartum care, and basic child care information. We felt well prepared for labor and any obstacles that could come our way. We loved the movement classes and the partner communication sessions of the course. The course helped us really get on the same page about many aspects of this journey. Her prenatal yoga class is also very relaxing and beneficial. I felt so much more relaxed after the session and plan on going for more for my postpartum care. Jordan was there for us throughout the very long labor and all the obstacles that came with it. She was supportive and tried to make the situation as comfortable for us as possible. She helped manage emotions and provided more information as we had to make in the moment decisions. After our beautiful baby boy was born, Jordan was there to help me get the baby to latch, make me comfortable, and help with minor details with the nurses. She checked in regularly once we were home and was a huge help during our postpartum care visit. We truly recommend Jordan to anyone looking for a support during their pregnancy. With a personal history of breech birth, I searched for someone who had the confidence and experience to safely deliver a breech baby at home. These skills are uncommon and incredibly hard to find! My first birth resulted in a cesarean and I desperately wanted to avoid a second hospital birth. This meant I was also a VBAC. No problem! Cassie's confidence and continued education on breech birth practice solidified my decision in hiring her, and in the end, she delivered (pun intended). We had a smooth, memorable home birth that my family will treasure forever. Cassie will support your birth plan, fears, postpartum healing, provide comforting guidance, and promptly answer your phonecalls. What more could you want? I can't recommend her enough.

In contrast, on the opposite spectrum, you have the raging tree huggers who tell you you're highly capable of an orgasmic birth-- not likely. I didn't want either type of midwife. Erica is a pro who tells it like it is and will provide top-of-the-line, intuitive, hands on care before, during, and after your birth. Terrible experience leaving the school…read more My two boys were selected for the their scholarship program, which provided 3 months of lower tuition. After some consideration, we ultimately decided to part ways after the scholarship concluded. Everything seemed fine until it came time to collect my children's belongings. Prior to starting school, the administration asks for 5-7 full outfit sets per child, depending on the class and if your child is undergoing potty training, in addition to other items like blankets, towels, etc The first bag of belongings the school gathered for me only contained blankets. Keep in mind, I had two kids attend this school. I wasn't given any heads-up about the lack of clothing and failed to check the bag until I got home as I genuinely trusted the staff to do their due diligence and collect everything. So I called to inquire about the other clothing and it took about 3-4 follow-ups until I was finally told to come pick up the clothing. However, this second bag did not include a single t-shirt or pair of socks. I was told they would search for those items and that I would get an update the following week, but never received a call. When I would call, the faculty would pass me off to each other, each assuring me they were working on finding the remaining clothes and apologizing for not getting back to me. It was obvious they wanted me to just forget about it. They mentioned searching through the laundry room, multiple classrooms, and other rooms. How all those t shirts and socks just disappear is beyond me. Not to mention, my son's favorite Bluey towel and a very nice North Face jacket. After waiting another week, I emailed the director, Lily Hernandez, to express my frustration over the situation. She's always been quick to email back so I was sure she'd offer a resolution. Wrong! She completely ignored me - not a peep. I waited and sent another email but still received nothing. I called and asked for her a few times but was always told she wasn't there. That being said, I've never experienced this level of unprofessionalism, particularly from the director of an educational institution. It was clear she couldn't care less about losing my kids' clothing now that I'm not paying the school. I'm still shocked by the lack of accountability, and this unfortunately highlights the sad state of today's educational climate, where any random, unqualified person can apparently wiggle their way up the administrative ladder without any genuine values or integrity, and end up running a school. Even if it's just a pre-school, we deserve better.
