This review is for an subpar quote interaction. They made a lot of assumptions about the job and proceeded to quote highly for a job that they were also unwilling to warranty. I am looking for a professional because I am willing to pay to not deal with any more problems, why would you do a job that you can't warranty? The correct answer is to do it right, then warranty it. And to be professional enough to know to ask the right followup questions instead of making assumptions. I asked them to quote the repainting of a spoiler that had paint which bubbled and peeled in a couple spots. The reason they were unwilling to warranty their work is because it was already painted. This suggests that they were planning to just paint on TOP of the original paint instead of removing it. I bought it pre-painted from manufacturer. Has anyone seen any spoilers that came unpainted? Their suggestion was for me to "take it back to the shop that painted it and ask them to repaint it". Ridiculous right? Lol, it was done wrong in the first place, why would I do that? And it wasn't painted by another shop, it was manufactured that way. I'll pay for professional paint that can be warrantied and done correctly. read more

I've had these guys do my car twice on minor scratches I incurred and they have been nothing but professional and excellent work. They were both minor incidents and instead of charging me for a full repair, they were upfront and stated I just needed a good buff and charged accordingly. Unfortunately, I parked my car to close to the garage door and my girlfriend closed the door and it scraped the front bumper really bad. As one other reviewer wrote....I waited way too long to get it fixed because of the cost of repair at a bodyshop. OK, so my car has (had) racing stripes.....well, not really racing stripes, more like horrible scratches into the paint and bumper because I didn't pull far enough into the garage before I closed the door. Anyway, enough about me; this damage occur several years ago and I have been putting off getting it fixed due ot the cost. I finally decided to get it fixed so of course I turned to Yelp! to guide me, and they did....right to Hugo and Antonio at Bumper Specialist. These guys are amazing; first off there is no ambiguity what so ever in the cost. First you call Liz at their listed number; she explains the process and scheduling. Then you text her pictures of your vehicle/damage and she sends you a quote based on the damage. (Based on other local company's quotes I was expecting $600-$700 range......not even close) From there you schedule an appointment time for Hugo and Antonio to COME TO YOU. That's right, they do the work at your location, at your convenience, and when they are finished the only sign that they were there is a new looking bumper. These guys were punctual, right on time! Hugo and Anthonio introduced themselves and explained in detail what they would do, the process they would use, and how long it would take. From there I just went back inside and went about my day. I came out about 30 minutes prior to their estimated completion time and, much to my amazement; my bumper looked like it just came off the show room floor. The guys were cleaning up and Hugo took the time to answer my questions. All in all this was a fantastic process; I have zero complaints and would highly recommend these guys. It's very refreshing to come across a locally owned business who takes so much pride in their work, while offering a fantastic service at an affordable price. To no surprise, I found Bumper Specialist though Yelp and I'm very excited to finally have a fixed bumper :) First off, their address on Yelp is just their PO Box... the nicest part about BS is that they're mobile. After I was hit from behind, I shopped and visited a few bumper and body shops. Liz, the appointment coordinator/co-owner (I believe) was very friendly in answering all of my questions. Hugo, the actual Bumper Specialist, came out the same day and inspected my car. Gave me a reasonable quote and had the quickest and shortest timeframe since I didn't want to deal with a rental car. It came with the car when I bought it in 2012, I researched bumper repair in 2013-2014, checked Yelp and found these guys in 2015, and finally had the repair done this year in 2016! So yeah, I put it off for FOUR YEARS! Don't make the same mistake. Call these guys ASAP and just get it done. I am what you would call a "car guy" and so I am quite picky about who works on my car (hence part of the reason for the delays). I keep my car under a car cover all-day everyday because that's how particular I am. Anyway, Hugo came out on what was to be a 100-degree day and they did a great job.
