Tip: This place serves classic breakfasts every day till 4 pm. Last Saturday, I was in Aurora. After running errands, I was ready for a late lunch. I remember passing by Bunchberry Diner a few months back. I had never been there. It was time to check it out. This diner used to be Mercury Diner. It's nice that the diner tradition continues here. There was plenty of parking when I got here at 3 pm. I backed into a parking spot and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a female staffer. She asked if I was picking up takeout. Nope, I wanted the dine-in experience. She led me to a booth, which was comfortable. There were so many items on the menu that I wanted to try. This place serves breakfast till 4 pm. My server was Parmida, who was sweet and competent. I ordered these items: - Chef's morning breakfast - Diet Coke The Diet Coke was fizzy and cold. I got drink refills. It was perfect. For the chef's morning breakfast, I got my eggs over-easy. I chose sausage links and whole wheat toast. It came with home fries. I got peanut butter, jelly, and jam in preparation for my meal. It didn't take long for my food to arrive. The weird thing was that this table did not have any ketchup, but all tables around me had a bottle. I had to wait a bit for Parmida to return, so I could ask for ketchup. She apologized. She told me that she normally doesn't work this side of the diner. She immediately went to fetch a bottle of French's ketchup. Yep, this diner supports Canadian. I loved my over-easy eggs. I got three perfectly runny eggs. I smeared raspberry jam on my toast and sopped up the yolky goodness with it. I got three sausage links. They were yummy. I liked having them with ketchup. The home fries were the perfect portion. They were crispy and delicious, especially with ketchup. Prices are decent here for the portions that you get. My meal was $20 after taxes. You have the option of paying with a QR code on the bill or using the payment machine. I went with the latter and tipped with my credit card. I used the washroom before I left. It's on the right side of the eatery when you walk in. It was clean. No issues. I saw the dessert display before I left. This section was closed for dining. The desserts on plates rotated in this display. It was cool to see. It was great dining here. I'm return for more good eats. (252) read more

We were passing this place when I suddenly decided to stop by and try the breakfast . It's nice cozy place , like a regular breakfast place. The servers were really nice and humble. It was pretty busy . I ordered western omelette sandwich which was really tasty. It didn't feel dry enjoyed it . The coffee felt a bit light. The strength was missing . Will go again fr sure . It's shareable for me for sure . I pay 11$ fr Stella and corona , it's like 6 $ here. They said orange juice was freshly squeezed but I don't think so . read more

Stumbled across this diner unintentionally while driving but glad we stopped by. My mom and I had the western omelet sandwich and the chef's breakfast which included meat (bacon or sausage), three eggs, breakfast potatoes and bread. The coffee is bottomless, which is nice as you can get many refills however the orange juice was just OK not really worth $7. The service was really friendly and very attentive and the portions are very large. The food tasted good and was hot and fresh. I would definitely come back. I saw lots of deals posted outside for different days of the week and senior discounts as well. read more

An excellent place for brunch. There are loads of dishes to choose from. Portions are huge and prices are fair and reasonable. If you head there before 10am, they have a bunch of early bird specials that include a coffee or tea. I also recommend the salmon and spinach eggs benny from here! Being a diner, you would think the staple meal would be a burger with fries , right? I would not feed this to my dog. The meat was clearly bought frozen from a box at a grocery store. The cheese cost an extra 1.50 and it was barely visible. It was so thinly melted on the frozen paddy you could barely see it. The fries were disgusting. They were the cheap kind you get in the frozen section at the grocery store. I took two small bites and couldn't eat anymore. So disgusting. They asked me what was wrong and I honestly said it wasn't good. They apologized and offered me something else but if the burger and fries were terrible at a diner, how good could the rest of the menu be?! ( my buddy ordered the beef dip and he said it as awful, he couldn't eat the fries) The burger was about $20 before tax and they charged me for it. Do not go to this establishment. Came here for brunch on a weekend and was seated right away. Our server was super nice and attentive. The menu is pretty standard western breakfast fare and you get the retro diner vibe inside. We tried the caramelized apples cinnamon french toast and the spicy Italian sausage scramble skillet. The French toast didn't have much cinnamon flavour unfortunately so it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. The scramble came as a big hefty portion, loaded with a ton of cheese on top. Tasty but the sausage wasn't spicy at all. Their breakfast potatoes are excellent though. I'd say the food is a 3.5* but bumping it up for the service. read more

Had late lunch here today. This seems to be a new business. Very clean and it was very busy. Service was excellent, friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. They have a very varied menu and serve , breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices are reasonable. I had the roast beef dip, which was excellent. Hubby had a hamburger and fries. He said it was great. Our friend had the steak sandwich. We will definitely be going there more often when in Aurora. read more

This is a pretty good breakfast place. The steak and Benedict were great value and good quality and my wife enjoyed her skillet. I think the best was the fresh apple crumble with ice cream it was great and the price was decent. Overall the restaurant was good on price and portions and quality the only thing I take way Is that the orange juice is overpriced. And the service for food is very slow. So make sure you have patience to wait.. otherwise definitely recommend people to try this place out for brunch. It's worth it read more

Takes guts to open a new restaurant on the day of a Covid shutdown!  I had been watching the old Mercury Diner location to see what would replace it.  In mid December I noticed a new sign on the roof.  Finally, they opened around Jan 4th, just as the government issued another depressing shutdown. Oh well, at least there is take-out.  I ordered the Western Sandwich for a fast breakfast.  They advertise it a "2 eggs" but it feels like more.  Add in the red onion, bell peppers, chopped ham and melted cheddar cheese, and you have a pretty tasty meal.  It comes with hash browns, the large cube versions that are deep fried and sprinkled with seasoning salt. I pass on those. The menu is quite large, with dinner, lunch and the standard breakfast options, but also includes a few surprises.  The "Scramble Skillets" made with 4 eggs comes in three versions: Loaded Meat, Bacon Wild Mushroom, and Spicy Italian Sausage.  Each of these sounds pretty mouth watering and suitable for the big appetites.  I can see myself trying all three.  Soon.  Very soon read more

Staff is very friendly and quick to refill your coffee. Unfortunately the coffee was lukewarm at best. Cooked breakfast, poached eggs was ok, peameal bacon was overcooked and leathery. We also ordered a Greek salad which made my guest very sick a few hours later. Food prep was very slow and appeared randomly in bits and pieces. On Sunday August 21, 2022 I took my family for breakfast before they leave to go back home, thought it would be a perfect ending to our lovely weekend....well our waitress made sure to ruin that moment for us. We ordered our breakfast, the cook prepared them perfectly as we asked and rang the bell for our server to pick them up and bring them to our table...well she finally brought after they were sitting under the heat lamp. When I brought it up to her she denied it and blamed it on the cook.... Please if you think this restaurant is anything like Mercury well don't be fooled as it is not , I do not recommend this place unfortunately simply because our of waitress. I tried this restaurant twice. Once for brunch and once for dinner. I was honestly disappointed both time. The service was terrible. The servers looked bored and disinterested. The food took forever to arrive. The breakfast was ok, but the dinner was a combination of cold items, or overcooked and the waitress forgot a number of items. We will never be back. Today we ordered the Loaded Burger and Beef Dip sandwich as take-out. The fries have a nice crisp on them. The burger was awesome. What a mouthful if you like burgers! The beef dip was tender with melted cheese, plentiful but a little bland tasting. I have had this sandwich elsewhere which also included sauteed onions inside the sandwich. I would recommend they include this ingredient to earn a 5 star recommendation from me. Very generous servings and happy with my purchase for lunch.
