Before we purchased, we asked if curtesy vehicles are provided for service appointments and we were told "of course". Yet every appointment I'm left without a vehice (for days at a time, one appointment was a week). I currently have my car back yet I still have inoperable features. Waiting for a call back for more parts to arrive. I should not have these issues with a new car, and because I was sold a defective car, one would think the dealership would try to smooth things over by at the very least providing a loaner vehicle.

These guys know the score…read more My hoopty stopped moving backward the other day (transmission pooped the bed pretty badly...the service advisor was pretty impressed at the level of damage when they cracked it open), so my warranty towed me here. Carter Chevrolet could not have been better during this process and I'm very grateful for what they've done for me. After settling me down on the phone by assuring me the car was warranted to 100K, Carter Chevrolet arranged roadside assistance for me. They squeezed a major repair into a busy service shop so that I could get my ride back as soon as possible. They arranged a rental car for me (granted that got screwed up pretty badly by Enterprise Rent-A-Car, but that got fixed up, too). Carter also kept me abreast of what was going on with my car and when I'd have it back. I never lacked for information, and I could always find my Chevy man if I did have to call. My service advisor has told me to make sure I call him when/if I need any adjustments as transmission repairs of this ilk sometimes require them. And to be honest, I'm probably going to need to do so as my steering wheel is off center (a common problem, from what I'm told). But I am totally confident that Carter Chevrolet will be handling this as well as they did the major repair. As good as it gets folks. I have complete confidence in Carter Chevrolet. And since my other car is a Mazda, I'm happy to know that Manchester Mazda is their garage, too. I know I'll get the same service there. If you have a Chevy, do not hesitate to use Carter Chevrolet!

Then he saw that my partner at the time was a bit buzzed and he continuously hyped him up to force me after I said multiple times I was not comfortable with the price and didnt want to do it. The coating on the car I was told was included in the price then it was somehow the 2k was added on at the end. The company they put my financing through was so sketchy, it took forever for me to call and when i did the customer service assistant couldnt tell me what my APR was because it wasnt on paperwork. I was bombarded by the sales associate with communications constantly asking for me to put in five star review and wouldnt stop until i did. I wish i did not because this place made me feel so pressured and uncomfortable. Also when I went in for an oil change, the service guy told me I was suppose to be given this special warranty because of when I bought the car. (not an additional add on cost warranty but something covered) It was clear that I got scammed and the service guy was trying to help but even after asking the the sales manager in the office, they couldnt put it on retroactively. The sales guy also bent my license plate because clearly nobody on the sales team new how to use a screwdriver yet they are selling cars. WILL NEVER GO BACK. I continuously keep getting sent these letters saying that they will upgrade me to a new hyundai and add on 7k from my KBB value. at the bottom of this letter it says YOUR HYUNDAI WILL NEVER BE WORTH THIS MUCH AGAIN. Yes because i paid so much over the actual worth of my car because there was so much added on like that 2k for the exterior coat, which they said is already on YET made me wait a day to pick it up because they had to put it on. I paid almost 5k more than the listed price. from 27999 to over 32k between all the fees.

After purchasing it, I discovered that all four wheel bearings were bad. Another shop had quoted me around $3,000 to replace them, while this dealership offered to do the job for around $1,000, so I brought the car back to them. When I received the car back, the ABS, brake, traction/DSC, and service-engine-soon warning lights were all illuminated. Those warning lights were not on when I brought the car in for the wheel-bearing repair. I can't say with certainty what caused the lights, but the fact that they appeared immediately after the repair is obviously concerning. I also don't have the original paperwork anymore, so I can't prove exactly what happened, which is frustrating. Regardless, this was my experience, and I would personally recommend having any vehicle from this dealership inspected by an independent mechanic before purchasing it.
