We came in a little after 12 for brunch. The weather was perfect. The vibe was laidback. Our waitress Hannah and servers were great, attentive, and quick. Hannah made drink suggestions and was honest about not trying the crabby patty yet made it sound good enough to eat ( which it was). The music was great and my mom and I were swaying the whole time we sat there lol I had a jack's passion fruit punch which was yummy. The drinks were pretty sweet but I did get a little kiss of the jack's in there. Everyone enjoyed their food and the vibe and view of the bay was everything. My crabby patty was yummy. The fries are really good. I also tried an oyster. Yummy and fresh. The weather was so absolutely perfect this place could do no wrong lol The portions were good, not over the top and the food was tasty. I'd definitely return.. especially with the weather that nice and sit outside. The parking situation isn't great but if you can find a spot in the little "street" out front, you're golden. read more

Came with a group of workmates for drinks and dinner. Fish sandwich was basic but good, with nice garlic fries. My friends were equally happy with the scallops ("fantastic"), fish and chips, and steak. Plus heard rave reviews of the espresso martini. Finally, embarrassed to say that I didn't get the name of the waitress, who was terrific. So, in short, this place is not fine dining but it's terrific, relaxed, with good comfort food and a great view. What more could you ask? read more

I'm glad I came to Bungalow Bar. I looked at the review before and hope their food and service will good like the review. Because there is a seafood place I went before and they have a good review but the service is trashy so I feel skeptical to believe any review on the internet now. I went there on Saturday late afternoon and didn't have to wait long time. The place is very nice next to the ocean. Service is nice and friendly and our waitress keeps following up our food and drinks. I have surf and turf, I wish I will get a whole lobster but it just only tail and a bit small. Steak is delicious and cook perfectly. Lobster bisque is wonderful. Drink is light and refreshing. I enjoy so much of my meal and feel I make a right decision. read more

Bungalow Bar has great views, but grab a seat outside--the inside portion of the place seems really small. i was a bit confused at first as to where to go, since you walk all the way to the back and can either step inside through a small hallway or walk to the left to go outside. eitherway there were hosts in there to greet you. seems there is always a wait to eat outside, so i took a seat insside since i was starving. striped bass tacos were amazing. at a steep 12.00 for 2 they were pretty perfect. bass was juicy and cooked well, but i feel the star of the flavor were the mango pieces and sauce on top. they were both stuffed very welll and not too messy, the soft taco was nice and warm. the huckleberry lemonade i had tasted great, but was very weak and was also a bit steap on price for 10.00. not that great of a beer selection here. overall i enjoyed my quick snack here, felt the service was good, and enjoyed the views. read more

I'm giving this place 3 stars for the atmosphere and waitress. Other than that I really disliked my seafood pasta ! I don't know why they put some spice in it that I just hated. I know it starts with a T !!! When I find out from my friend who's a chef- I will update this. Update - it's Taragon The pasta was bland and had no flavor besides that spice that I hated ! The calamari was okay... but the dipping sauce was really good. I probably won't be back here for the food though... maybe a drink at the bar with friends if we're in the area. Please change that seafood pasta to plain muscles in clam sauce with garlic and oil because the way it was given to me was really not good at all. Came here on date night and from the looks of it, I thought it was a rather small place, but when you enter, there's so much space and great outdoor seating, as well as indoor. The weather was amazing and it was a lot of people waiting to be seated, but the wait time wasn't too bad. We waited about 15 mins before getting a text saying our table was ready. We were seated outdoors, where the sun was setting so we had a great view of the sky. We started with some huckleberry lemonade and my date got a beer, we also got some Mac and cheese balls... which we devoured. It was super delicious. My date got the streak, and I got the penne Alla vodka with chicken. Everything was so tasty and the view was so pretty and amazing. Don't skip out, and definitely try this place. We visited after a nice beach day. We were placed on a waiting list and the host said it would be about 20minutes to get seated. We got called about 10minutes after signing in. It was prime dinner time so I am glad we didn't have to wait so long. They have arranged the tables nicely to promote social distancing. We sat at a table situated near the bar. We ordered a dozen and a half of oysters, two orders of mussels and fish tacos. The oysters were great! My friends really enjoyed the mussels. The fish tacos had potential to be better unfortunately they were too salty and it made it hard for me to enjoy. They were topped with pineapple, cabbage and other veggies while I ended up picking at it, I wasn't able to finish them. I am not discouraged from coming back to try either items on the menu. We have been coming here for a few years now and within the past year the food has become so much more amazing . I go often with friends and the food is always very fresh and tasty . The Buffalo dip and fried fish sandwich are some of my favorites. Today was my first time trying their brunch and it was amazing. I ordered the eggs Benedict with home fries . I also ordered some of the brunch drinks and they were pretty great. I definitely recommend trying the peanut butter screwball coco. I have been coming to this place on/off for a few years now. I wish I remembered the female manager there I see during the summer. SHE IS AMAZING. I do nt know if she was there this past weekend.. Every time I go the food and drinks are perfect. Sunday was my birthday but my husband surprised me with a gathering there on Saturday Oct. 18th. My favorite dish is TUNA POKE BOWL and once again it did not disappoint. However the other meals for my guests were not raved about. I am not sure if the chef is different in the Fall season, but the staff are definitely different. The food was mediocre but I am not holding it against them. I am hoping it was a fluke. I had a pomegranate margarita this visit which was great too. & the raspberry cheesecake As always, great & consistent food. But, once again, the gems of this restaurant is the staff. (& the authentic fire place). Everyone is very inviting & welcoming. They ask how your dinner is & make great recommendations for what to try. We used to love this place. First time coming back since COVID and it's just not the same. The menu used to have some nice dishes and now it's so generic. The food was also not good. Lobster bisque - almost no lobster, soup flavor was good sherry base but needs more cream. Mussels - white wine sauce. Mussels were tiny in the shell mostly. Flavor of the broth was ok. Shrimp tacos-good amount of chopped up shrimp, corn, cabbage and sauce was also good. Tortilla was the fail. Tuna poke meal - worse poke ever despite the tuna being good. The rest of the dish was a complete fail. Regular rice instead of sushi rice, long diced carrots makes no sense in a dish with small ingredients. Rest of dish could not add any value to this dish either. Lobster roll - great price but also a let down. One of the most basically bland lobster rolls ever. Lobster meat was good but it lacked flavor of a good lobster roll because there was no diced celery, onion or anything else. No butter flavor for a cold lobster roll either. Very disappointed that this will be our last visit after coming for so many years. Lastly. Drinks- good flavor but no alcohol in them at all. read more

Burger was huge and yummy. Most people outside did not wear a mask, as they were eating outdoors. Restaurant advices to Wear a mask when you are indoors. This place respects and enforces mask wearing inside. Clean - staff gives you a choice of plastic or silverware. We chose plastic and it came covered and clean. However, we saw bathrooms outside and I did not use them out of fear of cleanliness (not a fan of outdoor restrooms) We did NOT experience any bias/racism of any kind here. Good for anyone! Nice place. Great view. And the food was good. We got there at 12. The sun was out a nice beautiful day. They offered an umbrella. The waitress was very nice. My wife and I admired the young boy working as a bus boy hard worker. We had the crab cakes they were very delicious. Definitely on our top 5. As we are crab cake lovers. We had cocktails just can't remember the name. It had malibu and captain morgan. It couldve been a dash bit stronger just cause my wife and I are on vacation that week. My wife had the burger well done with caramalized onions and mushrooms the meat was delicious. I ordered the blackened chicken sandwich. It was tasty with the pesto mayo. First time coming, real laid back and chill outdoor setting, perfect for summer vibes. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Tom! What can I say. We came here as a group TRYING to enjoy our time as we don't see each other often. The waitress came over and was like these shots were on us and we were like how nice. All of a sudden, here comes Tom telling us we been here for 3 1/2 hours and we were inconsiderate and needed to leave. Appalled, we asked for another manager, who proceeded to tell us that was the Policy. Last time, I checked unless a policy is posted or noted to patrons, it's NOT a policy. We had the most wonderful time at Bungalow Bar, they follow all Rules and Laws concerning COVID-19, taking temperature making sure no one has a fever , all workers and manager wearing mask and keeping distance. The food was delicious, for appetizers we had 2 orders of spinach and artichoke dip, 2 orders of mac and cheese balls , mussels fra diavlo and calamari with marinara sauce. I liked this place. It was big, loud, messy, disorganized. First they told us the table will be ready in 40 minutes. So my husband went to look for parking and I stayed inside. After 7 minutes our table was ready. So I sat down and waited for my husband for some time. It is not easy to find a parking spot on hot summer day on Sunday afternoon. We ordered oysters which were really good and fresh. My husband had burger and I had lobster roll with fries. The lobster roll was okay. I had better lobster rolls. The burger was good.
