Carlos is amazing. He gave us exactly what we wanted. Modern, clean and secure. He also used a heavier gauge metal than other companies quoted. He was very reasonable with the price. Much more affordable than the bigger companies. He came out on Monday to take measurements and by Saturday we had the new gate. I really wanted to not see any gaps between the gate and the frame as the walls are not perfectly straight and Carlos ensured that no gaps were visible as you can see from the pictures. We're thrilled with our new custom, high security side gate that Carlos did for us! I had some very specific requirements that I wanted with limited options based on the space. Carlos was responsive and came out quickly to take a look and gave us a VERY fair estimate. In fact he was one of the most competitive bids we received, but his work quality shines well above the price point and is an excellent value for the end product. He made suggestions on the design that we hadn't thought of. He's a true professional and very detail oriented. He was communicative throughout the process and even sent pictures of the gate during the different steps of fabrication. And he turned it around very quickly, much faster than other companies were quoting for the same work. He showed up on time and cleaned up after himself. Had Carlos come out and do a couple welds on some steel ladders that we needed serviced at our company site. The actual work that they did was pretty good. Solid welds, and they even painted and finished the work to make it color match the original paint. 10 / 10 work. Only reason I'm giving them 4/5 is because of customer service and communication. It took a while to actually get them to come out and there were several times they said they were coming and didn't show up. It was only after I was going to move in a different direction that they finally committed to coming out. He cited "finishing up other jobs" as the reason for the delay, but honestly at the end of the day it's simple communication. I would've been willing to wait longer or set a date in the future, but it was the inconsistency in responses and the not showing up when he said he was that made me give 4/5. Pricing was ok as well for the market quotes that we were getting from other vendors. Only tidbit was that after initially agreeing to $250 in the first quote, he upped the price to $300 after another follow up quote. Not a big issue here since it was still way cheaper than other quotes that we received, but I didn't particularly like that he changed the price but didn't say why. I understand that our job wasn't a big one, and it was a quick one that probably didn't have the level of urgency as one of his bigger jobs, but at the end of the day communication is key and that's my only critique. I would definitely consider contracting them again since their work was actually good though; trying to be as fair as possible with this review since the work was actually descent. read more

I am new to the area and needed a repair done on a broken outdoor gate latch. I did some online research and found Carlos of Castillo Pro Welding, a family owned business. As I wanted the work done quickly, Carlos squeezed me in at the end of the day I contacted him. Carlos was excellent in communicating with me and showed up on time. After quickly diagnosing the problem and needed repair, Carlos and his two helpers went right to work. They were extremely organized and efficient in getting their tools and equipment to the broken gate and before I knew it they were done. While I only asked Carlos to fix/weld the broken latch, on his own initiative and without any additional cost, he asked if he could paint the area of and around the repair. The paint job came out awesome! (He has all the right high end power tools and materials.) I think he spent more time on the preparation work than he did on the welding and painting as he wanted to make sure his work did not dirty or damage anything nearby. I love to see contractors (like Carlos) who put in the time and effort to do things right and don't cut corners. Carlos is an extremely nice and friendly guy with a big smile. It was abundantly clear to me that he took great pride in his workmanship and his family business and that he truly cared about his customers. He's a true professional. Although my project was a small job, Carlos still brought his "A" game and treated it like the most important job he had that day. After talking to Carlos and learning about him and his business I have already made plans to have him perform a much larger project for me in the future. I needed an RV gate repaired because the posts rusted out due to the sprinkler system. Carlos came out and gave me a very fair quote. Because he took the time to explain what he planned to do to make the weld repairs and to prevent the same damage in the future, I felt comfortable expanding my request to include repair to the pool fence, which also experienced rust damage. Carlos came out the next day, on the 4th of July holiday, with his crew and absolutely did an incredible job fixing everything and making it look brand new.
