I find the principal of the upper school to be quite an insufferable individual, often refusing to deal with situations considered of an important scale especially on topics such as blatant bullying and exceptionally problematic behavioral issues, however many of the teachers are indeed wonderful people. On a positive note however, the school does have a wonderful multicultural aspect that allows for a child to gain a more whole and worldly perspective, though you must ask yourself before sending your child here: is being in a multicultural school worth their mental health? the answer should be no, so this school is in fact a great school, BUT only up until the high school, where I would consider sending my child elsewhere.

My child learned so many amazing things and was excited to go to school each day. After infant 2, you no longer get activity logs or pictures of your child even though it state ms you will in the parent handbook that you sign. 45 day withdrawal notice without proration so be sure to time it perfectly or you'll lose out on your deposit. My child no longer enjoys going to school and haven't been able to connect with the new teacher with the exception of 1 that has since resigned. 2 of the 3 teachers in Toddler class is no longer there within such a short period of time. . The food is unhealthy (Apple Jacks, ect ) for a 20 month old even-though my child feeding directions show nothing with added sugar. I really want to like this school but with the higher ratios than all of the neighboring schools and multiple undocumented accidents leaving my child with marks and no explanation I just can't recommend this school. $1700 per month, + $150 quarterly supply fee... not bad but not worth it for what you get

We have always felt the teachers and administration are willing to work with us to create a strong and well rounded educational experience. It is also so fun to see all the different age girls interacting since there are girls from pre-k 3 through 12th grade on the campus. The girls often get a chance to feel like a leader. Also we are not catholic and have never felt out of place as a family here. Highly recommend!

The school constantly preached, "We are a family," but that couldn't have been farther from the truth. It felt more like being trapped in a prison where no one cared about you--especially if you didn't fit their idea of the "perfect" student. I have a learning disability, and instead of offering support, the school made me feel like I was a burden. The teachers completely ignored my struggles and acted as if my needs were too much for them to handle. They couldn't be bothered to help me succeed and made it clear that if you weren't one of their "ideal" students, you didn't matter. The bullying was relentless, and it was allowed to thrive. I was made fun of constantly, and the teachers never intervened. They didn't care. I went to them for help, and their response was always the same: dismissive and uninterested. It was like I didn't exist unless I was falling in line with their expectations. They let the bullying continue, creating an environment that was toxic, unsafe, and emotionally damaging. Instead of being a family, this school felt like a place where kids were pitted against each other, and the weak were left to fend for themselves. I was held back because of this school. Instead of providing me with the help I needed to succeed, they let me fall behind and made me feel like I wasn't good enough. The lack of support and care destroyed my confidence and left me feeling worthless. They didn't help me overcome my challenges; they just made them worse. I had to repeat a grade because of their failure to provide any meaningful support or accommodations for my learning disability. I should have been given the resources to succeed, but they chose to push me aside and let me fail. And the tuition--don't even get me started. We paid an absurd amount of money for this so-called education, but all we got in return was a toxic, neglectful environment. The money went into the pockets of the administration, while the students received no extra help, no special accommodations, and no real education. It felt like we were just another dollar sign to them, nothing more. They were more interested in maintaining their "prestige" than actually helping the students who needed it the most. In the end, I left Duchesne feeling completely broken and defeated. The school didn't just fail me academically--it ruined my sense of self-worth. I was left emotionally scarred, and I had to fight to rebuild my confidence. It wasn't a place that nurtured growth, learning, or self-esteem. It was a place where kids were ignored, bullied, and made to feel like they weren't good enough. I wouldn't wish this school on my worst enemy. If your child has a learning disability, or if they don't fit into the mold of the "perfect" student, don't send them here. Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart will not help them thrive. It will break them. This school doesn't care about the students--it only cares about money and its own image. It's a toxic, harmful place that promises a family but delivers nothing but pain, neglect, and failure.

The receptionist once cited her own made up "11th Commandment," to justify not allowing me to pick up my own child. The school now claims I am my son's grandpa for some reason. I found errors in this year's student/parent handbook then I looked at last years and found the same errors so they're obviously copying and pasting each year and not checking anything. They excluded me from being an emergency contact and when I finally got access to the medical records they have on file for my son I found critical errors regarding his most serious allergic reaction. To fix the error all that was needed was to change 1 word on a 1 page document. It's been 4 months since I brought their error to their attention and have yet to receive confirmation that they fixed it and just today after finding out they refer to me as my son's grandfather my son's teacher dm's me telling me wtf she doesn't appreciate. This is a religious school and in the handbook the first mention of "God," is literally a disclosure that informs you that you won't get your tuition money back if an act of "God" shuts down the school. I think the Devil might be the Principal.
