    Pizza Capricciosa

This is the capricciosa pizza I ordered, you be the judge. I got one entire piece of artichoke on the side. 2 slices of prosciutto crudo (capricciosa is made w prosciutto cotto). 4 olives all clumped together, and a hard boiled egg that was green around the yolk, it looks like it was made days ago. I tried giving the pizza a shot and the mushrooms were cold. I left the remainder of the pizza there; the waiter asked me how my dinner was, I told him the beer was good. This is a warning to any American or foreigner from an Italian, do not come here.

Friendly wait staff is the best thing about this pizzeria. The food is ok, not the best and by far not the worst. I prefer my pizza to have a crust that had flavour. This is not the stand in Rome so I had to make do with the standard lovely toppings to cover the cardboard taste of the crust. The heat of Rome (yes to me the mid 70s is heat) meant that I wasn't overly hungry so I didn't have antipasti, just the pizza. Well the waiter did force me to have dessert which was ok. But the staff treat you friendly in a country where they do not necessarily have to friendly for tips. It's nice to have a joke and humour with the wait staff. That's why this place gets three stars instead of the two it should get for the food.

Their pasta with mussels, porcini mushrooms, and saffron is the best thing I ate in Rome.

Love this place! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Simone helped us. He was very patient and helped us order since it was our first time there and my dad is a picky eater. The food was outstanding, and the desserts were delicious. Will be coming back when I return to Rome!

Great little find close to my hotel up the hill. Great sunroom patio and actually one of the largest Restaurants I've been in since my arrival enjoyed the caprese to start (tomatoes and mozzarella ) and had Carbonara Pasta. Most places here have very good portion sizes but this was even more and plenty to "take away" as they say vs to go lol. I was worried the bacon would make it too salty but it was a Perfect touch. They have a nice wine selection and small desert menu but I'm going to hit the pastry shop I passed along the way. I would recommend this because the prices are great and perfect for groups and quick lunch. My only compliant was service was slow, I had to ask for check 3x it wasn't busy and that took almost 15 min

I've always wanted to say "there's this great little place in Rome you must try when you visit" This is that place for us! We've returned over and over and had something different each time and loved it every single time! When you feel like family too, it's easy to come back!

Daniel, the son of the chef and part owner was gracious and conversational and made great recommendations for our dinner. We started with a crispy sage leaf appetizer made simply with sage leaves lightly battered and fried in olive oil. Yummy! All of the pasta is made fresh and Mary selected Ravioli ricotta e Spinach while I selected Saltimbocca alla romana (Veal slices in Roman style) and both dishes were delicious. After dinner we opted out of dessert, but Daniel brought a treat to the table consisting of two sugar coated cookies and suggested we soaking them in our wine as a final treat. They were Wonderful! So far one of the best meals we have had in Rome. We would both highly recommend this restaurant, both for the family atmosphere and the great food. We hope to return before leaving Rome.

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

I had possibly the most amazing chick food pasta a girl could imagine. Girls know what girl food is. The pasta in Italy is just better -obviously. But then put all sorts of girl flavors on it like Lemon and Orange, just lightly enough, zest with a small hint of cheese-..... omgosh. Yes, yes, and yes. Need my hubs to replicate at home. He is going to be busy trying to perfect this. Tagliatelle with orange and lemon parmesan. This was it. It was the best. Everything else we ordered was amazing as well. Wait outside. They don't have a sign telling you to wait, no server telling you to wait. You wait out there, wondering if you're in the right place, but then people stand behind you and you're like - oh! I'm here. This is the place. There are possibly 4 tables inside. It's small. I read about them being rude- we did not have that problem. In fact, they made a mistake and we kindly let them know we ordered something else- they corrected it and were nice about it.

We were super lucky that we didn't have to wait too long to get a table and we were sat instantly. They can only seat about 18 total. Both pastas were just absolutely amazing.
