Came here back in December to get passports for the Family. I must say, the process was much easier than I expected. There was a wait due to people in front of us not having all their paperwork filled out properly, but the office itself was great and made the process quick and easy. A couple weeks later we had our passports. We did go on December 24th, so it may have been less busy, but if so, I recommend going on a non traditional day like the 24th. Pro tip - be courteous to others and have all their paperwork filled paperwork completed before you get there. The instructions are detailed and will make everyone happy and save a lot of time. This building is an old art deco style building, it is beautiful inside and the kind of building you just don't see anymore. The builders and architects took care to make this a classic landmark in Burbank, more than just City hall. The details around the building inside and out are amazing and worth looking around, murals in the walls, an aeronautical them inside and they have this massive old post office box that is no longer in use, but was built like Fort Knox, it is very cool and it is pretty inside. If you have to take care of anything that is City or Government related, I would recommend Burbank City Hall, they made the process quick (as quick as a Government facility can be) and the building itself is nice just to look around at while you are passing the time waiting for your appointment. Home to our five-member city council offices, televised council meetings are held here on Tuesdays. I'm on the Parks & Rec Board, and we meet here on the first Thursday of every month. Volunteering in Burbank? Sure! Then you'll probably need to visit our City Clerk's office on the first floor, where everyone gets the VIP treatment. Leaving the US? Wow!!! I was dreading getting my passport. The last time, I went to Van Nuys post office on Sherman Way. I had to make my appointment a month in advance. I still waited in a really long line. I thought I had all my paperwork ready. I was chastised for missing something. This time I was able to make my appointment the day before. I had made copies of all my documents like it said on the website. I got there early. Hardly anyone there. The employees were pleasant and efficient. I left 5 minutes after my designated appointment. I received my citizenship at the end of March and I started to look around immediately to apply for a US passport especially since I have an elderly mother living in Europe and we live during uncertain times. I found Burbank City Hall and felt like it was the best choice and closer by (USPS didn't seem like a good option) in downtown Burbank, off San Fernando Rd. The next available appointment was on May 4th (this was end of March). I signed up and also noticed that walks in are welcome. I put my file together, filled the form, had photos taken. I decided to go over one day early April (way before my appointment in May) around noon when they have a lunch break (over an hour) to get in line. It was a long line, but once they opened, it was moving. They were taking walks in. I realized that the lady working at City Hall was giving special treatment to some folks ahead that she knew, was very friendly with. Folks who didn't have the paperwork together but she was making copies for! Also, some were for renewal, they could have done it on line. For first time, you have to go in person to apply. After over an hour of waiting, the same lady came to the couple in front of me (after them I was next) and turned us away. It was more than 2 hours to closing time! Infuriating and upsetting! So I left, came back when I had my appointment, I was in and out in 10 minutes, it's a line inside for appointments. Nice building inside and out, but masks are not well enforced, folks kinda of wear it, without nose covering! I was helped inside an office, paid the $35 facility fee, waste of money. I guess the clerk didn't like I had the photos taken somewhere else but their facility and mentioned the State Dept. might contact me to ask for other photos since you can't see my eyes because of my bangs! Wrong! My bangs are never that long. I always had them and never had issues with ID photos or passport ones in US or anywhere in the world. She was trying to find a problem since I had it together and the file is ready and I was fast in and out. My husband was getting annoyed because I just finished a long and crazy citizenship process and dealt with bureaucracy my whole life. Maybe they should be concerned with folks that don't have photocopies or still fill out forms or in line or inside their office! They told me I should get my passport in 11 weeks. Well, that didn't happen! It was the passport craziness that made national news! Got my passport finally on August 13th and just received back my certificate of naturalization! Long process, nerve racking. But the photo was fine! It was taken at CVS . Don't appreciate clerks who try to find a problem when you are prepared! That happened to me a lot in Eastern Europe and I expect better here! Make an appointment! I was disappointed by this office because I read great reviews! When I first made my passport appointment, it was scheduled for 8 weeks out. But when I was poking around the site again three weeks later, there was a spot which opened the following day...someone recently canceled, I guess! I arrived a few minutes before new appointment time and was taken in immediately. Everything was straightforward, there was no chat-chat, and the attendant was very professional. I did have a couple of tiny mistakes on my paperwork, but easy fixes. I don't know how long the passport will take during this unprecedented backlog, but this Burbank Acceptance Facility Center certainly made this part easy. read more

Burbank City Hall's Tree Lighting was a nice event. The Mayor, Emily Gabel-Luddy, brought along plenty very important people for the crowds to meet. The 30-minutes to the Tree Lighting went by really quickly. Mickey, Minnie, Santa and Mrs Claus stayed behind to meet the crowds individually and take pictures. The skating rink wasn't completely up and operating yet... But soon. A few roads closed for the event, but the crowds weren't that big. And the events can get packed just not tonight. We were able to get three passports done including mine today for both of my minor children who are technically teenagers but still under the age of 16. We were canceled on by USPS post office in Los Angeles at the last minute after making an apt2 months in advance!! I did some research and at the last minute I found Burbank City Hall and made it just in the nick of time to be the last person seen for their walk in appointment!! When I tell you these people saved the day they saved the day!!! It was amazing! We had to leave Los Angeles just to get some good service around here! Burbank really hit it on the head and the City Hall came through with an easy process and everyone was so nice! They excepted both of my children's papers and were even able to squeeze me in as well! I'm so happy we drove out here and they really saved the day to get us our passports. The USPS post office bicentennial location near Pan Pacific Park canceled on us two hours before our appointment because someone had a personal emergency and couldn't help us with our appointment that I booked two months in advance!! Can you believe that? They had no one else to fill in and literally told me that I'm crap out of luck and had to book another appointment and wait another 1 to 2 months! No way that was not going to happen... the whole situation was a horrible experience over there... no wonder they are losing money and business!! I stayed calm and found somewhere else to go and we came to Burbank City Hall! The walk-ins are a lifesaver! Thank you again and keep up the good work guys!! Visited February 15, 2017 11:30 am. So I got this letter in the mail from the city clerks office stating that my signature on my ballot did not match the signature on file. And if I wanted my vote to count, it's have to go down to the city clerk office with my ID and verify my self. I have to say I was kinda perturbed because I've been voting in the city of Burbank for 15 years and never had this happen before. I knew what signature they had to have, which was my previous married signature. (I've been married now for 11 years and have been using the same signature).. but clearly with the latest Presidential election and voter fraud allegations, Burbank is actually checking now. Again I knew exactly what was wrong. And I'm glad they are checking. And even though it was irritating this hasn't been caught I'm all the past elections I voted in, I'm glad they are making changes. The lady who helped me was very kind and apologetic. I wanted to be angry but I just couldn't because she was so sweet. And I didn't have any problem parking and no lines to wait in, so it was actually nice to see the beautiful building and fountain. Interactions like these are what makes me love this city! Came here to get my passport. Had an appointment at 10am, when I arrived(almost 10), there was a line already. I thought it'd be at least an hour wait but I ended up getting in and out for no more than 30 mins! Each time they admit a party in the office, they first ask the appointment time then the arrival order. So, no need to get there way early before your appointment time. The people I encountered today were all very nice. They are very patient and attentive. While I was waiting, I could hear them assist other families, they explained the same thing over and over as different parties siting at the other side of the table. Even though you could get the same instructions online, they did not appear unpleasant and were very helpful (even to infants!) The city hall has plastic boards between the staff and us. From where I stood, I could see, after a party leave, the staff sanitizes her table before each new party to come in. I was called around 10:10 and was done by 10:24. I am so glad I dig around and decided to drive 1 hour to come to this place to get passport service! Best experience with gov. employee! Person came out to check everyone's appointment time, I said I was a walk in, she said we don't do walk in's. I said website said about walk ins and she said oh, but not Friday afternoons. Easy to locate, free parking, not too busy, with quick service---score! Since it was close by my home I decided to obtain my passport at this place. You need to make an appointment online prior & they also provide photo service. Make sure you fill out application prior, have needed documents (in addition to originals photo copies of both drivers license & birth cert). Very friendly staff & the building is old but in excellent shape. I would recommend highly. Fyi----they only take checks/money orders no cash or debit/cards. My son and I scurried all around town a week ago in attempts to renew his passport (I wish minor passports didn't expire so quickly) for Summer travel - all stops ending in wasted time and transit. I then scheduled an appointment for the Clerks Office in Burbank City Hall. We arrived to plenty of free public parking in their lot, walked right in and through their doors into a very friendly air conditioned office and were in and out within 9 minutes! Furthermore, they informed us the processing time for US Passports would be 3-5 weeks, but the US State Department informed us expedited delivery will actually take 5-7 weeks. read more

I definitely recommend everyone to go here! I came to renew my passport and the process was easy and fast. The staff were really nice, helpful, and very attentive. Make sure you have all your paperwork ready and have an appointment. For expedited shipping in total I payed 187.56 and 35 for the Burbank fee. If you need to take a photo it's 12 dollars. What a convenient place to renew your passport. This office is one of the very few that gives you access to set up an appointment online. I have been calling several Post Offices and they have never answer so I was getting worried about. It getting it on time. I was planning to go to a location in Van Nuys to do my first passaport but I'm glad I read some reviews on Yelp about the long lines before going and made an appointment to the Burbank location instead. The day of my appointment there were only a couple of people waiting before me, twenty minutes later I was done and on my way home. The people in the office were fast, friendly and helpful. For $12 I was able to get two photos taken on location. The two hours free parking next door was also a plus. The downside is that I had to wait a month for my appointment date from the time I first called. It's not the place to go if you are in a hurry to get your passaport. read more

I had to renew my passport and I tried to go to the post office but the line was literally 3+ hours log. I gave up. I decided to get an appointment at the Burbank City Hall and just see how it works out. I am so glad I did! I was literally in n out in about 15 minutes MAX! They employees were super nice and very helpful. They only thing with the U.S. is that they except cash or check. If you don't have either, there is a bank across the street. Most of the employees are friendly and helpful. The only reason I'm giving them a 1 Star is because they have an inspector that will not approve your construction or remodel work if you do not go out with him. He harasses the majority of the women home owners that have obtained a permit for their construction. He will not approve the work done if you do not smile and flirt back. This is a known fact about him since he has been working with the city for over 15 years. read more
