My truck was overheating so I came in to see Steve he was a referral he recommended a new radiator. He installed it and the truck continued to overheat I tried different thermostats and even took the thermostat completely out and nothing worked nobody could figure out why the truck was still overheating. I could not use my air conditioner I could not drive the truck more than a few miles my only vehicle and luckily the radiator started leaking so I took it 2 radiator Mart in North Hollywood they put in a new radiator for $240 and the truck runs perfectly no more overheating problems Steve charged me $800 he either did not replace my radiator or put in a wrong one. Steve did such a great job repairing a 1948 Chevy gas tank with brazed patches, I did not hesitate to have him address the AC on my truck the next day. Dishonest, poor quality work, terrible aftermarket products, and will lie straight to your face. I had my 1998 BMW 540i radiator replaced by Steve on 6/10/2014 because it was leaking off the vent nipple.I was given a 5 year warranty on the receipt for the radiator. One year later the new radiator was leaking again at the vent nipple. 10/22/2015 Steve replaced the radiator again, but told me he was leaning on the oil filter canister and the rubber mounts broke. My car was about 17 years old at the time so I just replaced the mounts myself. Another year later, the radiator was leaking again at the same location. 10/10/2016 Steve replaced the radiator again. When I backed my car up there was a loud whining and grinding noise. I pulled my car back into the shop and smoke was coming out of the power steering reservoir. Steve disconnected the power steering hose and all the fluid drained out, completely empty. Instead of removing the radiator properly, as it is a tight fit, he disconnected the power steering lines to have more clearance. Steve did not know what he was doing. I had to get the proper power steering fluid to fill it back up. Thankfully I only drove the car about 15 feet, and there didn't seem to be any damage. Again, one year later my radiator broke while driving and I had to have it towed to the shop. 11/16/2017 Steve told me it was out of warranty until I showed him a copy of the receipt. Steve told me a hose clamp came off and an easy fix, I believed him. Steve lied to me. I couldn't see the hose because it was under the radiator shroud, it made sense and possible. When I got the car home the radiator shroud didn't look right to me, so I removed it and saw zip ties holding on the hose to the vent nipple instead of the hose clamp. Steve had replaced the new $60.00 BMW hose with a cheap aftermarket hose. I told him I was going to switch it back to the original BMW and he told me not to, that it would be fine. When I took the hose off I saw that the plastic nipple had broken off and that is why he used a different hose and 2 zip ties to hold it on. I called Steve and informed him of what I found, he said he couldn't work on the car any more and refunded my payment in full. I replaced the radiator myself this time with a Genuine BMW radiator and it works great. It was difficult getting it out past the power steering lines but it was possible without disconnecting them. I had another coolant leak from the top of the engine(valley pan) that I thought I had to fix but with the new BMW radiator that leak has gone away. The BMW part dealer told me cheap aftermarket radiators are not as good as the original and create pressure problems in the system. That alone saved me a tone of future work and thousands of dollars, just because of the defective radiator Steve installed. I should have done this job myself the first time but Steve told me he had worked on BMW cars before. I have mechanical and automotive sense so I was able to catch Steve in many lies he told me. Steve is not honest, does not use quality products, and does not do good quality work. Pay more and go tot he factory dealer and get it done right. This has been a nightmare for me, which is now over. The one good thing he did was refund me in full for what I paid him. read more

Drop my car off here on a Monday and talked to Steve the guy that runs this place.I had him change my radiator because I had transmission fluid in it.all in all I ended up paying about $400 bucks for everything. A lil pricey if you ask me. Also found out they left all the bolts to the radiator lose.not a place I recomend. read more

Don't go anywhere else! Steve (the owner/tech) is absolutely wonderful - so knowledgable and honest, friendly and helpful. I know cars well as I have a classic Buick, and used to play with rock crawlers and bikes, but no longer have a garage space in which to work, so finding Steve and Burbank Radiator was perfect. He very straightforward about cost and what was needed, and even called me to let me know he could repair rather than replace my radiator, saving me some $$$. He found a few extra problems a previous mechanic had created (they used baling wire on my car fan shroud!!!). and kept them from damaging my newly repaired radiator, as well as throwing in a few details that kept me worry free. He also worked on my A/C in the past and was a pleasure to deal with then as well. I brought in my BMW X5 because my radiator was leaking. I brought it into Pepboys who said they can't fix it and took it to another mechanic who said it's going to be a couple thousand dollars. I was worried about this problem and kept needing to add coolant every two days. Then I took it to Steve who I noticed had very good reviews. Steve first said that this was going to be a very big job and it was going to be expensive. He said he will take a look and give me a quote the next day. The next day I got a call saying it was an easy job and that he needed to replace a few parts and the hose. Steve then said it should be about 200 dollars which I was thrilled because I thought it was going to be a couple thousand dollars. Steve fixed my radiator in no time. Steve is honest, friendly, professional, and has very cheap prices compared to other mechanics.
