We came here for lunch after reviewing this on yelp and driving by a few times. First impression was great, we were greeted by a warm smile and hello. I got the Tuesday special which was a cheese burger (comes with ketchup , mayo, and lettuce ) for 2.99 and I added bacon for 1.99. ( on the regular menu you can add all the other toppings you want) My bf got the cheese burger combo with a poutine and pop (10.49+ 1.99 bacon) A few minutes to wait for them to cook it and put it together... everything was fresh and delicious. Will be coming back to try their funnel cake next time. Staff was very friendly and atmosphere is nice. A bit pricey but I understand since everything is fresh and good quality. read more

Burger Delight, is quite delightful indeed. I had gone to this restaurant based on a glowing suggestion of a friend of mine. I had tried to time my arrival for around 8:30p on a Friday night, unfortunately travelling down from Peterborough took a bit longer and I arrived at the restaurant at 8:45p; the restaurant closes at 9 and I was about how I would be served. I had longed to try out this restaurant and wasn't going to have the timing get in the way, I was going to eat something. I got in the door and it was fairly well lit and clean and pretty new equipment and fixtures. They have a selection of burgers including a Bacon Burger, each selection has an available combo of Fries or Poutine for extra. I was advised that if I wasn't that hungry to avoid the Bacon Burger, so I went with the stalwart Hamburger and Poutine, for about $10. I made some small talk while the food was being prepared and learned that it was a family run business, that the family had just moved to Bomanville from Toronto several months ago. I could empathize with them, since I had just moved from Toronto to Peterborough in December. The food was prepared fresh, burger was made right on the spot with fresh patties, you could see it spitting out juices as it was on the grill. I received my poutine and burger and sat down. The restaurant locked up at 9, the owners didn't rush me and actually told me to take my time. I enjoyed the burger, it was well seasoned and juicy, the bun was substantial and held it all together very well. I enjoyed the poutine as well the gravy and curds all melted, no bitterness or sourness, it all went down great. I will come back to this place again, it left me sated, the owners were very accommodating and made me feel relaxed, I thought the restaurant was clean and then food was we prepared. read more

SO GOOD! Im so happy I can enjoy a gluten free burger with a gluten free bun so close to home. I was really excited to discover burger delight when I moved to bowmanville a year ago. I've ordered so many times and I'm never disappointed, I think I've only had them mess up my order once, but they're really good about compensating you for the mistakes if you give them a call & explain. I love that if you order more than one meal/combo they put each combo in separate bags. They number off which one is which on the receipt and put the corresponding number on the bags. It's so convenient!! It can be a bit expensive for gluten free (I pay over $17 for a combo w fries and drink) but I'm used to being charged extra for a gluten free bun. It's honestly worth it. The bun is amazing for being gluten free, it can fall apart sometimes and get messy but I get lots of toppings so it's expected. The burger patty is really yummy, I love their fries, and their poutine is delicious and huge for the price. Really great flavours, quality and value!! I'd recommend burger delight to anyone looking for an amazing gluten free burger meal or non gluten free burger as well:) read more

What a great place! The moment we entered the restaurant, the lady behind the counter greeted us with great warmth and kindness! She made us feel so welcome and special! She asked us if this was our first time here and we said yes. So she explained how the menu worked, explaining everything in perfect detail! I love her! If I could bring her back to Toronto to come work for me, I would! 100% the most awesomest customer service that I have experienced in such a long time! 6/5 stars for her!!! I ordered the regular hamburger plus bacon and poutine... Whoa such a big serving! I finished the delicious burger but I was so full that I was only able to eat about 1/4 of the poutine. This made me so sad because I really really really wanted to eat the whole thing! If I'm ever in this neighbourhood again, I will definitely return!! read more

The food was alright, but I can't get over how bad the employees were! Two of the three employees were dressed in sweatpants (is there a dress code?) and acted very standoffish. We were given a 15 minute time estimate, but ended up waiting over 30 minutes... and we were the only people in the restaurant! The employees were very unprofessional and had AirPods in while taking our order and then proceeded to talk gossip with another employee while the burgers cooked. The store looked like it hadn't been cleaned all day and the only heat was coming from a small radiator that was placed on one of the diner seats. The menu was not helpful at all (it lists burgers but gives no information as to what's on them, etc) and the employees were vague when asking for clarification. read more

The cheese burger wth mushrooms was delicious.home made patty really good cheese. Fresh cut fries are good too. The only thing we didn't like was the funnel cake. They must use a small funnel because it was very crispy and not much to the actual cake, I prefer it be a bit more thick. read more

Not impressed,, have been here 2 x before Placed take out order for 2 cheeseburger combos, to go, got our food home and discovered half the ingredients were missing on the burgers????? Went back, they were accommidating and re-did my order, and they gave me a free dinner to say sorry, ok Got home and discovered the burgs were wrong again,, returned and got money back and ordered from another spot . Incompetance rules here folks. I even waited and watched them make my order, went to the washroom came out and they must have given my order to someone else, cause i got home and it was not even close to what i watched them cook up??? This is hands down the best burger and fries combo in Bowmanville. Possibly all of Durham. The burger is freshly ground on the premises every day with no fillers. The buns are just right. Not too doughy, but just holds together long enough to eat. The fries are freshly cut every day and double cooked. Sure they have a limited menu but I see that as a positive. The fries are the only thing cooked in the oil and taste delicious, not like onion rings or some other fried food. As for the price I think it reflects the quality of the product. Last time i looked a Big Mac meal cost over $10 dollars and if that's what you want go there. I will remain a faithful Burger Delight customer read more

Without a doubt the best burgers around! Best I've ever had. Always fresh never frozen. The patty just melts in your mouth! Fries are just as good and you might as well try the funnel cake. Why? We (my kids and I) have come here at least once a week since we discovered it a few months ago. We would come more often if we went whenever the kids ask (which is pretty much daily). I consider myself a bit of a burger snob and seek out great burgers all over the world. Burger Delight is as good as any I've had and it's definitely the best around these parts. The burgers here are handmade and fresh - it takes about 10 minutes because they start making it when you order. Topping are fresh and tasty, as are the buns. I don't eat the fries or poutine, but the kids say they're great (I actually have stolen a couple from them to verify). Highly recommended!!! If I could, I'd give them six stars. read more
