    Greek Salad

I've driven past Pete's Big Bite several times and always meant to drop in and try their food. It was finally time! A foodie friend had arranged a meetup with fellow foodies. This place has a very retro vibe to it, kinda like an old fashioned drive in. They have a few booths inside, along with a few high-top tables, and soda fountain style stools at a counter. They also have checkered floors and a car theme going on with the decor. Very retro. Very cool! Oh, they also have tables outside on a makeshift patio. Nice! Most of us had burgers, of course, one added a poutine, and another had a salad. We all got an ice cream sundae to finish this great tasting meal! The burgers were big, juicy, very tasty, and loaded with bacon - some had peameal, others had strips. They were generously dressed the way we liked. The fries were nice and crispy and came with gravy. Nice! The chunky Greek salad was good, dressed with olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, and large pieces of feta. The poutine with pulled pork was generously dressed with cheese curds and gravy. I should have stolen a taste! Next time. This was a good outing. It was nice to meet other foodies - people with similar interests. The food was really good, and so was the service. I'll definitely be back! Note: This review was not solicited by Pete's Big Bite. We paid for our meals.

4oz burger, chocolate milkshake, onion rings

Best burger I've had in Durham! Would definitely recommend this place! Great selection, nice, bright, and clean inside, and a small patio in the parking area of the plaza. Staff were friendly and efficient. The onion rings were crisp and fresh and the chocolate milkshake was excellent. Check this place out!

One thing that stood out to me was the customer service, it was truly a great experience the staff was very helpful and quite generous! The burger was one the best burgers I've had in my life! I got the Fire hall burger combo: with fries gravy and a drink! Great experience and my friend love it and said he'd go there regularly!!!

    Patio looks awesome

We were looking for a good burger joint and stumbled upon this on Google. Seems like a pretty poppin' spot for people who live near by. The staff were friendly and the establishment was clean. They have a pretty decent menu, offering up different burger variations, cheesesteaks, poutine. We ordered the 911 burger, a bacon cheeseburger, and a poutine. These 3 things came up to about $40, which is pretty standard pricing. The 911 burger is a double patty that is actually huge (1lb of meat), my partner ate half and was stuffed! The poutine was also massive, and we did not finish it! I recommend trying these burgers if you have a hankering for a good hearty burger!

Another great burger place in Whitby! Huge burger, lots of fries and onion rings. Great service and friendly atmosphere. If you know the area, Pete's is like a cross between Shake, Rabble & Roll and Mr. Burger. The burger is very similar to Rabble, while the surroundings is similar to Mr. Burger with the 50's diner feel, only better. Plus Pete's offers better burger toppings including a fried egg. Rule of thumb. If you find a burger place that offers a fried egg as a topping, chances are they make a great burger and you are in for a treat! Be sure to try the Cowboy Burger and if you're up for the challenge get the 8 oz. size!!! Pete's also has great Philly Steaks! A good Philly Steak is very hard to find in Durham so I was very pleased that Pete's made a great Philly. (even better than the one I found a Retro Burger, see my other review). The Philly Steak comes with fried onions, peppers and Swiss cheese. I added fried hot peppers... awesome! Overall, a fantastic experience and can't wait to go back!

Amazing burger. Portion is big and you get free gravy with fries. Their Philly sandwich my teen son favourite.

Impolite counter person, burnt food, brown edges on chopped lettuce, improper food handling, high prices for low quality food.

We had two pieces of each appetizer to try and I must say I LOVED the jalapeno poppers. They paired very well with the Factory sauce. I was pretty stuffed but I finished off my meal with a chocolate vanilla twist cone topped with caramel drizzle. Perfection. I had an absolute stellar experience at Burger Factory Whitby. The most memorable thing was all of the hockey memorabilia that covered every inch of the walls. The food itself was a little underwhelming. Positives: - Great prices. - The fries were crispy. - The burger itself was decent. - The order was made quickly. Negatives: - Service wasn't the best (a little grumpy & pushy to order). For example, I wanted to order a cheeseburger with a side of fries (no combo since I didn't need a drink). The cook/cashier said the side of fries would be too big of a portion for me and egged me on to get a combo. I don't see what the difference is - shouldn't a solo side of fries be the same portion as the combo's side of fries anyways? I just didn't want a damn drink. - The burger was small, which may explain the low prices.

To be fair, the price of the burger is less than the fries. For a combo without a drink is just under 9$. I wouldn't say people should stay away from here but it's nothing special but if you are choosing between this spot and a new spot you want to try out, try that other spot because you aren't missing out here

But..... my gosh. The dishes looked nice. My niece said her food was okay. Her cousin said his food was overcooked. My dish was trash, my gosh, I couldn't stomach the taste. The salmon was tough, tasted bad, rank. The seasoning was weird and didn't pair well. It had some kinda spice that tasted odd. I don't even know what to say about it. But later that night I was throwing up well into the morning. I only eat possibly 3-4 small bites, most of the dish was left back. I still tipped and didn't complain as I just wanted the kids to have a nice night without arguing with whoever. As I write this I am reminded of the disgusting taste. NEVER again for that dish! Now that I think about it I honestly shouldn't have tipped. Paying for that dish was already above and beyond!
