Pretty good. I got the house made vegan and was a bit worried when it said it was made of beets - one of the few veggies I don't like. It was delish. My husband got the mushroom burger and said it was great. The burger patties are huge. What takes away a star for me is that you can't change the patty of one of their flavorful burger creations with a vegan patty. Everywhere else I go let's you do that (whitlows, Red Robin, etc). So basically my options will be limited. Also like others have said - it's pricey. $13 for vegan burger, plus $1.50 for Swiss cheese plus $2 for a side of fries. So my meal before drink, tax and tip was $16.50. So for casual lunch for my husband, myself and daughter $70. Not something we can afford to do often - but food was good. read more

Finally decided to give this place a try since I was pretty loyal to Basic Burger. I had the bacon cheese burger and the shoestring fries. The bacon cheeseburger was cooked well and the meat was good quality, but the burger patty itself seemed like it lacked basic seasoning. It was just okay overall. My fries were also rather bland. I'd give this place another try, but I think they could stand to knock a dollar or two off of their prices because it's slightly overpriced for what you're getting. read more

I had a fantastic experience getting takeout from these guys. Everything was ready promptly when I walked in the door, and when I got home, that's when things really got good! I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. It was cooked perfectly even as I ordered it (medium-rare) and the fries were crispy and well flavoured. Nice size patty - no skimping! I ordered by phone and my burger and fries were ready in approx 15 minutes just as I arrived. The staff greeted me warmly and the place was clean and inviting. I wanted a gluten-free bun but they were sold out for the day. I had the bacon cheeseburger. It was delicious. The fries were okay - not worth writing home about. My wife wanted some vegan thing that they were also sold out of for the day. We will return and give it another shot in a few weeks. **Update** I have been returning for the bacon cheeseburgers and gluten-free buns. Stopped by on a whim for trivia after our planned venue for the night was overpacked. Called ahead to get a table without a problem. Was a bit nervous at first when it was so quiet inside but it began to fill up a bit right before trivia started. Great service. The burgers were delicious and the curly fries were a fun surprise. Like the other reviews say they were more like curly potato wedges. We were a bit disappointed that the milkshake machine was down (which is why I didn't go 5 stars yet) but we ended up winning trivia so will be back again to use our winnings and try the milkshakes. I came here for lunch. I work in the area and was pretty disappointed that Basic Burger moved, but excited when a new burger place was opening. Unfortunately, it was not that great. I had the grilled chicken sandwich (my co-worker said that was my first mistake, but actually the chicken was perfectly cooked. It just lacked flavor so I had to dip it in ketchup). I first asked for no bun because I cannot eat gluten, but they told me they had a gluten-free bun, so I said I'd try it. Gluten-free buns are difficult to do well in general, and this one was no different. I ended up not eating it. I had the house made chips as a side - also not that great. Bland, mostly. I think with some salt they would have been better. My food also took FOREVER to come out despite it not being busy. I lost track of how long it took but it was definitely over 20 minutes. read more

Huge fan of Burger District!! Hearty, perfectly cooked specialty burgers for a reasonable price. Fries always come out crispy and piping hot. Best milkshakes I've found around here so far, and they are served in substantial glasses, not the kind that get really skinny at the bottom and cheat you out of your last sips of shake. Food was great and the staff were very kind and attentive. What I've been most impressed with however, is the outreach to the neighborhood and the eagerness to improve and collect feedback. I live nearby and in addition to their out reach, the owner went up to each table asking how the tables liked their food, what they could do differently, and if there was anyway to make it better. Some of the other reviews note difficulties, but it seems like those were growing pains and first day kinks more than the quality of the establishment overall. Within 10 minutes someone from the back told me they couldn't make a fish sandwich without an extensive wait. Hmmm, OK, Money refunded. I had a takeout order which came out pretty quickly. Everything seemed fine... well atleast til I got home. The hotdog and onion rings were just average. The wings on the other hand were badly undercooked. I mean one bite an I could taste the unhealthy rawness. Part of the bone and meat was still pink in color. I can't believe any cook would let this leave his/her kitchen. Probably the worst experience I've ever had at a burger joint. Waited 30 minutes for a beer I ordered when I walked in the door. When I went up to the counter they had a jumble of receipts for beer they hadn't poured yet in no discernible order. When I told them my number they ruffled through the receipts and found my receipt on the bottom of the jumbled pile. While I sat and waited for my food I watched numerous other parties receive their beer and food before we had received anything. After an hour of waiting for our TO GO burger we finally received our food. It consisted of Fries you could probably buy from 7-Eleven and the burger had absolutely no flavor and was seared on the outside and completely raw on the inside. Just tried Burger District for carryout. It is now our go to burger place. We had a burger, shoestring fries and Oreo shakes and they did not disappoint. The burger is large and delicious with good quality beef and lots of seasoning. My kids loved the fries but I thought they needed a bit more salt. But the star of the meal were the milkshakes. Yum! I ordered carryout and the staff was very attentive. The food was prepared super quickly. This is going to replace five guys and burger 7 as our go to burger place. read more

Am in town for a few days celebrating wedding anniversary with wife. I use Yelp to point me in the right direction and I rarely critique unless I can rate 5 stars. This of course was 5 stars for the following reason. A burger is 40% meat, 40% bun, 10% fresh ingredients, and 10% service. The hamburger was juicy, spiced nice, and a good charcoal taste. The bun also tasted fresh (not dry or stale). I like the purple onion, and I'm always a fan of cheddar. I got the single Bacon Cheeseburger. Good thing as the double would have been difficult for me to finish. Bacon Cheeseburger was tasty. As a side, I shared a cheddar cheese and bacon potato steak fries. Yum. There was no room for dessert. The ice cream shakes looked good and I will have to investigate before leaving the area. Maybe will stop by just for the ice cream. The manager checked on us and was cordial. Did I say the Cheeseburger was juicy, made to order (medium well). I rate this 5 stars, and look forward to returning before I leave the area. read more
