It's difficult to imagine a worse start to opening, but most importantly, the food was terrible.

The one star is for your host who greeted me with a smile, made me feel welcome, helped me pick out the order. The loss of 4 stars are due to the uncomfortable atmosphere you created for me based on a single miscommunication that I had requested and in my mind paid for a drink and didn't realize that I was given a cup that was for water only and not soda. I understand business and cost aside, I hope after reading this you never treat your customers that way again. Never again will you slam a cup in a customers face telling them what the right cup is especially since they have never been to your restaurant. I really hope this has a positive outcome to your attitude on how to treat people, even if they are your employees or customers. I could tell you having a conversation about me standing 10 feet away from me which is also extremely unprofessional. Just to make you feel better, I left your restaurant without having to eat the 16 dollars burger and fries. So I hope you got your moneys worth for the cup that was meant for water not soda! This was my first time coming to this restaurant and I have to say it surpassed my expectations! I was immediately greeted by friendly faces and had no wait to to be seated at the bar. My waiter Kahder went above and beyond to make sure all my needs were met, and my bartender Meredith made every Moscow mule worth the $4 (plus she has the same name as Meredith from the office). Every new business has some growing pains, but I don't think Burger District warrants all the bad reviews it's gotten during its first week. The food was great, and the service was very friendly and attentive. I got the grilled chicken sandwich, which was very flavorful and juicy. My boyfriend got the blackened blue burger, which he enjoyed as well. We also got the chips and coleslaw as sides, which were both good. Great burgers! I had the royal smoked burger with curly fries. My boyfriend had the sliders and my daughter wanted a shake. The shake was thick and creamy! Delicious! The sliders were good as well. Back around, again. This time (several now) I had the chili cheese burger (best I've had). Quality of ingredients, size, preparation and service were great, again. I put the chili burger up there with Tommy's and Ben's but I have to say, better. It just is. Shoe string fries perfectly crispy and hot but it seems like the single/side sizes I was told at the table are not much difference in size. We shared what we ordered as 'enough for two' - side size and we were fighting for the last few. Just a note but overall hit the spot again. My first visit here and omg if that wasn't the BEST burger I've ever had! I had the Royal Smoked Burger and it was incredible. Cooked to perfection, juicy but not soggy, seasoned perfectly. Curly fries that wre unlike others I've had. My friend had the Au Poivre burger and loved it as well. Meredith at the bar was very friendly with impeccable service and great recommendations. What a joke! We came here because of yelp rating. Party of five at 5pm. We walk in and there are plenty of open tables inside to accommodate us. We found this place here after looking for some where to eat after our visit to Arlington. It was a late lunch so not super crowded. We all ordered burgers and holy amazing! All three burgers were cooked to perfection and super fresh! The only regret was that we didn't order one of the giant shakes we kept seeing come out of the kitchen. Came in last night with my boyfriend as we're visiting the DC area. Everything was awesome from start to finish. We both ordered the bacon cheeseburger, and I must say that I've never had a better tasting burger. Upon recommendation, I ordered the Smores milkshake. That shake was vey well made. You were able to taste the graham, chocolate, and marshmallow all in one sip. So good! The owner and/or manager also walked around and asked everyone if everything was okay. Tucked away neatly in Arlington, this burger joint is one of those hidden gems that I happened to stumble upon. The burgers are amazing, even more so given the price. The manager is a true carnivore, so he takes the quality of his meats seriously (he really had a 5 minute conversation with me about meat).
