This restaurant is in a strip shopping center and in the area of local hotels. We were seated near the bar which was a nice booth with raised barriers between tables which made conversation easy. Our server Kaydi quickly came over to offer drinks, an energetic tone, a positive smile, and the refreshing Southern "yes ma'am/sir." I got the Blues Brothers Burger with sweet potato fries, a very tasty lunch, and filling. We were offered to-go drinks, a cordial touch. Pricing averaged about $25 per person, a very reasonable price for the value delivered. Overall, we will certainly be back the next time we're driving along the east coast. I hope we're lucky enough to meet Kaydi again, as she's an asset to this establishment.

We hung out until our order was ready then took it and sat on the tailgate of my vehicle to eat. The grease from the chili had soaked through multiple layers of the wrapping. Always a good sign! I had to look at the hot dog for a couple seconds because the chili looked unusual. It was mostly (very) saucy with some bits of ground beef. I was skeptical but on first bite...it was delicious! Certainly not what I'd call chili if I'm being honest. It was like BBQ sauce and ketchup mixed together, heated up, with ground beef conservatively tossed in. But again, it was great. The onion rings were good. Hot when we got them with good crispy outside. The burger was really good too. Lived up to the hype. I'd definitely recommend folks make a stop at Spencer's if you're in the area. Ambiance isn't overly impressive but focus on the food and you'll have a great time.

For the traditionalists, there is the original side of the restaurant with the old counter and booths where oodles of great hot dogs and burgers were served. Then there's the newer side, almost a sports bar. Twice in eight days we stopped to eat there, and the food was excellent both times. The service was great the first time, but our orders came out piecemeal on the latter visit. But the food! First stop we had the seafood special, flounder and shrimp.
