Well, this was amazing! The reviews do not lie! We stopped here for Kate breakfast early lunch on our way home from the outer banks. We had our little dog in tow who had not eaten his breakfast so we were all pretty hungry! I ordered the grilled chicken bbq sandwich which was wonderful! My husband ordered the Philly cheesesteak on salad. We ordered a fried egg with cheese for our dog. She threw in some beef for the dog, he is now snoring in the back of the car! My husband said the salad was fresh and delicious and cheesesteak was excellent! All round a great place to stop. If ur in a rush u can order online so it's ready when u arrive. Decent place for a sandwich in Creswell. We stopped here on our drive home from the beach for a quick lunch. The menu is posted on the wall and on laminated papers at the counter. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak and Italian sub with fried okra to go. Each item was delicious, filling, and reasonably priced. I particularly liked the bread they used and how they loaded up the subs with selected meat and veggies. I was full with just a half a sub. Barnyard Betsy's has limited indoor seating at a wall counter, clean single stall bathroom, and outdoor tables. Street parking is available. read more

A nice little sandwich/sub shop. Plenty to street parking. While walking up to shop there are picnic tables outside or if you want to eat in there are a couple of bar seats. I greeted by a very friendly girl working the register and the man behind the plexiglass said hello. We went 30 minutes before closing so some of the subs were not available, it was ok I got the turkey sub with provolone,pickles, peppers, lettuce and tomatoes- bread was very fresh- I didn't say no oil- it was still good. Stopped here for lunch on Saturday and had the most delicious beef cheesesteak ever!!! My husband got the Italian Hoagie and said it was excellent. The fries were crispy and had an addicting seasoning that kept us coming back for more. Would absolutely make a point to eat here the next time we are passing through. read more

Already downed half of my sandwich before taking this picture, but the Italian hoagie was DELICIOUS, & whatever pickled veggies were on top were phenomenal. I also tried their corn nuggets which is definitely something I would go out of my way to get again. Stopped on our way to the OBX, and needed a quick bite to eat and bathroom break. What a small town gem! Ordered a beef cheesesteak hoagie, all the way (Mayo, ketchup, mustard, pickles, fried onions, sweet peppers & hot peppers)... it was OUTSTANDING! Originating from the Philly area, some of those things on a cheesesteak would be considered blasphemy, but it was DELICIOUS! 10 out of 10! Also had a side of onion rings which I would pass on next time and just order a 2nd cheesesteak! Staff is super friendly and sweet! Bathroom could be a little cleaner. Great little patio area with tables/umbrellas & gazebo fire pit area. Must visit when traveling to the OBX! read more

We limped in on Easter Sunday. Weary from the road and half-past starvation. Huge portions and small town Southern hospitality were our salvation. It was a welcome respite on Main Street. I will admit, I am a bit of a steak and cheese snob... but Barnyard Betsy's did not disappoint!!! No skimpiness on meat, cheese and toppings. Sandwich's are full of flavor. The service was wonderful, the entire staff were very polite and friendly. The owner herself was cooking, taking orders and was the first person to speak when we walked in the door. The inside doesn't have much seating, a row of stools and high top table, but there are tables and seating outside. Definitely recommend this as a stop on the way to or from the Outer Banks. read more

Definitely make a detour for this delicious food! Fresh ingredients, quick service and fantastic food. Everyone left happy and satisfied. The corn fritters were sweet, the fried okra on point. We all got the cheesesteaks. Had too many pickled peppers for some, but I loved mine. The tasty meat was seasoned and chopped up fine. Friendly and helpful staff. They have tables with umbrellas outside, so we could have our dog with us. We enjoyed our stop traveling back from the Outer Banks and would go again when in the area. read more

We stopped by this place on a whim coming back from OBX and we are so happy we did. This restaurant is a little hole-in-the-wall in such a charming little town.
