I ordered a whopper jr with mozzarella fries and a drink, which came to $6.85. The whopper jr deal was 5.49, but I couldn't resist upgrading my fries to the mozzarella fries, for only .40 cents. We made the mistake of being super hungry and having no choice but to lose our minds knowing this is quite possibly the worst Burger King that exists in Canada. There's no grilling here ... After 2 fires it would appear that the microwave is the main source of heat, which did not defrost the bun... I must say that this was one of the strangest BK experiences I have had in recent memory. Parking is available in the large Columbia Square parking lot. As of the time we visited, the actual restaurant was under the wrath of the City, for having renovations done without permits. The Stop Work Order taped to the door explained it all. This left my friend and I with no choice but to visit the drive through, then eat in the parking lot. On a side note, whoever taped the business hours to the door window doesn't know their AM/PM. I assume the drive-thru closes at midnight, not noon. As for the food, it was in line with other locations. Now if they would just get those construction permits and reopen already. read more

Worst Burger King I've ever been to. Customer services is consistently terrible. Paid $34 for two can dine $11.99 and two Nashville chicken sandwiches. Total cost should have been $27 plus tax. Didn't give me a receipt. Didn't say a word when I asked why the price was so high. Didn't say goodbye or thanks. Management needs to fire these a-holes and re hire everyone new. But I went through the drive through and the guy at the drive thru window, opens the window, doesn't greet, doesn't acknowledge, not even a "hi". Just sticks out the debit machine to pay, I tap, he still says nothing. He gives me the bag. Still says nothing. I say thank you, and still says nothing. Location: I went to find a seat, before ordering, and a counter person yelled across the restaurant at me that I was in a 'Closed Area'. 2/3 of the restaurant was apparently 'Closed' to customers. This included the Washrooms. This was a Thursday at 8:30 PM. No signage stating an area was "Closed", except a large dangerous tower of chairs sitting off to the side. The staff person pointed to the tower of chairs to rudely scold me for not figuring this out. Service: On a Friday at 7:30 PM, we ordered two Cheeseburgers & Fries. The order took 20 minutes. This was on top of waiting 10 minutes at the counter. There was literally nobody at the counter for 10 minutes! Somebody finally appeared, and then another customer (who was in drive thru) came in the front door and shouted that they wanted to cancel their order because they had been waiting even longer. No apologies, no explanation. Oh, and there were only 2 other customers in the whole place. Food: Horrifying. Burgers limp and soggy. Fries taste like they've been sitting for hours. Nuggets are crusty and hard (over cooked). Again, I went numerous times just to make sure this wasn't a one-time thing. I have watched other customers suffer the same (if not worse) fate with their service and orders. This is really sad. In the middle of what would have been a fairly large order, the clerk started to give me a hard time, rude and aggressive. On their website they offer Chicken nuggets and fries at a special price. Parents go to it all the time for the $3.99 breakfast meal. 2 pieces of toasted bread, white or wholewheat, 2 eggs your style with hash browns and your meat choice (bacon or sausage) You definitely get your money's worth! I actually like Burger King's burgers, so I have been to many locations in the lower Mainland over the years. Every locations I visited, the service was slow and the people working there are either indifferent or rude. However, this particular location on Columbia street takes the cake. The service is so slow that this cannot be called FAST food. Worst, though, is the attitude of everyone that works there. Nobody greets you, or smile, or say thank you, and that includes the manager (who served me). It is obvious that they do not want to be there. Went thru the drive thru today...ordered 2 10 pc chicken nugget meals and a whopper meal. The person working the window entered the order in wrong even after I repeated it to her twice (didn't ring in the nuggets as a meal). When I got to the window, I had to repeat the order a third time. Took at least 5 mins for them to get my order together (apologies to the 3 cars waiting behind me). When I got home, I found they didn't give me one of the fries and the whopper was ice cold...my wife had to microwave it just to make it edible. Total bill was $30...from a fast food place??? The girlfriend and I wanted to try the pulled pork sandwich and yam fries for a late dinner. Didn't realize the restaurant part closed at 10pm (their doors were locked before that though), so we went through the drive-thru. For two sandwiches, a yam fries and a drink, it was over $13. Yikes! Food came quickly... Probably because they didn't actually put a lot of pork on the bun. With how much sauce they used (a sweet vinegar-based sauce), they could have used shredded cardboard or sliced hobo. Overpowering and very sloppy. I don't mind a saucy pulled pork sandwich if there's actually enough pork to hold it all together. The yam fries were tasty, if a bit thin. They put them into the bag upside down too. Wow, I always try to be fair, but this Burger King Franchise is once again terrible. I was there a few years ago and just got 2 double cheeseburgers and a pop and was left dumbfounded as too why they microwaved the meat and buns, when. I couldn't believe it, he was re- deep frying cooked fries. I should have said ok, just a refund please. He said it is done that way...whatever. I sat down in this empty dated lobby and tried out the Big King. That was so-so, the fries were of course, below average with a double crunch of overcookness. The soda was overwatered of course, and the nuggets were lukewarm. Perhaps I should have gotten them refried too. Then as I'm eating away I heard a female worker screaming from the Kitchen. OMG that's gross, Ewe gross, gross ewe omg. Another male worker said keep your voice down, but she went gross again. That was enough for me and I left most of it there. Perhaps time for someone to call the Health inspection service. It appears that workers are related or friends of family and it shows in the lack work ethic. If this was a Mcdonalds franchise, it would be taken over and made a corporate store. Burger King on East Hastings was just as bad, and thankfully they are gone. Just tried to eat here Truly do not waste your time. The Insides have been closed for renovations for about a month. So I tried to order amidst the cars. with only 4 cars in line it was taking 5 mins a car to move through. Car in front drives to mike and waits, and waits. finally after the car at pickup window drives away they get to order. Now all I wanted was a shake but as I was waiting thought I should make it worthwhile so decided on poutine. Well never did get served as the car drove through I waited no one came on speaker even though there was a car behind me. I have a story to tell about this particular BK in New West. I went there a few months ago and ordered a burger and fries. I got my food, sat at the table, put vinegar on my fries and started to eat. Realizing that the fries were cold, I took them back to the lady that was on the counter, I told her they were cold and that I would like some new ones. It was her next move that completely grossed me out. She took my fries that I'd been eating and put vinegar on and threw them back in with the fries that just came out of the frier to be served to other people. When she gave me new fries, I said, "You put my fries back in to be served again, that is gross", She just shrugged her shoulders as if it was a perfectly normal practice.
