There isn't much room inside so it has a small/thin tall table with a couple of chairs but if you really wanted to sit, the table will be close to the counter. They have two picnic tables in front of the place. There are a couple of other old picnic tables in the back grass area but they are dirty. One of the table is right by the fence/bushes so you won't notice it due to the overgrown bushes/grass. You would order and then stand outside and wait for them to call your name. It is hard to hear due to all the cars going by on Edmonds. I was lucky enough to meet the owner, Abhi tonight at Lost in the 50's burgers. Although I have known about this place for years, I never tried this place until after the pandemic. And I am very glad that this place survived. The ambiance here is retro Americana burger stand cool. With photos of Elvis and old Coca cola memorabilia everywhere. This place also reminds me of a long ago famous Vancouver Burger stand in my youth that used to exist along Kingsway-except this place has more memorabilia from the 50's. A lot more! So far I have had the L.A King, their Hawaiian and Alberta Sirloin. And their fried chicken. Their burgers are probably one of the best in the city, if not the best. And for $10 taxes in you can get a mini combo of any of their burger which includes fries and a can of pop. Their buns are made fresh in house every day and same with their burgers and you can really taste the difference! They don't have a ton of seating but it is very cozy if you do decide to eat here. This place really is a classic burger stand and you can honk for service at the take out menu and park your car to wait for your order if you are going to take out or eat in your car. Some sort of wizardry is happening in the kitchen. I saw with my own eyes that they cooked their burgers fresh on the griddle and it was assembled well. BUT somehow all the juices from the patty disappeared. Vanish. Gone. Poooof. FOH. I took at a bite immediately after it was served to me.... it was DRY as hell (figuratively and literally). I finally went to this place after seeing it around for decades. It was $15+ for a combo and as you can see for yourself the patty was underwhelming. If that was the regular combo, the "kids meal" would have a patty the size of a toonie. The food was made fresh to go with relatively fresh ingredients but it was the taste that was average at best. This place is obviously living off it's 1950s burger/shake image. But this place should be called "Left in the 50s" (not Lost in the 50s). If I could give half stars I would rate 3.5, but this place is not quite worth 4. I had somewhat high expectations after reading some very positive reviews but was left underwhelmed. Yes we did takeout, but it was only a 15min drive home and I fully expect that the quality will Deteriorate somewhat from that, which I've taken into account when reviewing. I ordered the London secret with bacon, fries, and a large chocolate milkshake. The fries were not crispy which could have been from sitting in the takeout box but they also tasted like they had no salt on them at all. The milkshake was decent but honestly I've had better elsewhere and the large seemed more like a regular size to me... the burger was where I had the highest expectations. The patty itself was delicious- you can tell that they are made with quality beef and made by hand. However, unfortunately it was quite greasy and this resulted in the bottom of my bun being really soggy and off putting. My husband ordered the L.A. King which has more toppings than my burger and yet his bun was not soggy. He was happy with the burger but said it wasn't anything over the top to have him rushing back for. He had fries instead of poutine which was really good and not lacking in cheese or gravy- actually I would say tooo much gravy (see pic). I've been curious about this place. We drive by this place all the time. Overall it wasn't an amazing experience. Decent food.

This restaurant needs to take a good look at how they are really presenting themselves to customers. I ordered my food with a cashier who I could barely hear and communicate with. He was no help to myself and to the one cook in the back of the kitchen. The food took awfully long to prepare and I watched my milkshake in the blender unattended for five minutes. I couldn't believe how outrageous the pricing was as well. If you read this and plan on eating here soon, they charge you an extra $5 per combo "due to inflation" between Monday and Friday. They have small signs with small text posted around the restaurant which makes it hard to know. I couldn't believe I tipped on top of my meal as well. I recommend you do not go inside to eat as the facility doesn't seemed like it gets cleaned or wiped down often. This is for the new Steveston location. We had - the London secret, the fish burger (halibut but not sure it was), fries and strawberry milkshake. The fish burger- very small piece of fish, had paid extra for halibut and not sure it was, odd flavor on the fish as well, only ate half. Had requested and paid for garlic sauce on the side as well, they accidentally tossed the fries in it so made a new batch. Just moved into this neighbourhood.... love burgers, so why not give it a try. I phoned in my order and was told the wait would be about 15min. No problem... Got there, went in... was told that one of the items I ordered wasn't available... Not a big deal, it's our first time, substituted the wife's order for the same as mine. While waiting for my order the counter person (owner?) chatted with me, and asked if I'd been before. He was very keen to point out that processed food isn't good and that they don't do that with the beef, and they make their own buns (processed is bad... fresh made stuff tastes SO much better). Great burgers and the owner is super friendly! There's always some sort of sample for you to try as well, ranging from their handmade chips to freshly made milkshakes. This place definitely won't help you achieve that New Year fitness goal, but make sure to put it on your list for those cheat days! You can't go wrong with any of their burgers. The fries and onion rings are on the oily side, and I personally prefer Costco's and McD's fries, but those are probably more processed whereas this place has hand cut fries. Stepping into this tiny diner really feels like taking a trip back in time, you can really tell the time and effort they spent on decorating.
