My wife got the London Secret with mushrooms and I got the Texas BBQ. The patties were good, juicy and a good size. The bun was soft and the fries were fresh and tender. There isn't much room inside so it has a small/thin tall table with a couple of chairs but if you really wanted to sit, the table will be close to the counter. They have two picnic tables in front of the place. There are a couple of other old picnic tables in the back grass area but they are dirty. One of the table is right by the fence/bushes so you won't notice it due to the overgrown bushes/grass. You would order and then stand outside and wait for them to call your name. It is hard to hear due to all the cars going by on Edmonds. It does take some time for them to make your burger as they say they make it from scratch so if you're in a rush for takeout, you may need to wait.

I was lucky enough to meet the owner, Abhi tonight at Lost in the 50's burgers. Although I have known about this place for years, I never tried this place until after the pandemic. And I am very glad that this place survived. The ambiance here is retro Americana burger stand cool. With photos of Elvis and old Coca cola memorabilia everywhere. This place also reminds me of a long ago famous Vancouver Burger stand in my youth that used to exist along Kingsway-except this place has more memorabilia from the 50's. A lot more! So far I have had the L.A King, their Hawaiian and Alberta Sirloin. And their fried chicken. Their burgers are probably one of the best in the city, if not the best. And for $10 taxes in you can get a mini combo of any of their burger which includes fries and a can of pop. Their buns are made fresh in house every day and same with their burgers and you can really taste the difference! They don't have a ton of seating but it is very cozy if you do decide to eat here. This place really is a classic burger stand and you can honk for service at the take out menu and park your car to wait for your order if you are going to take out or eat in your car. During the summer they usually have picnic tables outside. This isn't just a place for good food but also an experience! Oh, they also have a secret menu of chicken wings and popcorn chicken (usually on Uber eats) but if you are at the counter just ask and they will let you know how much the price is

I finally went to this place after seeing it around for decades. It was $15+ for a combo and as you can see for yourself the patty was underwhelming. If that was the regular combo, the "kids meal" would have a patty the size of a toonie. The food was made fresh to go with relatively fresh ingredients but it was the taste that was average at best. This place is obviously living off it's 1950s burger/shake image. But this place should be called "Left in the 50s" (not Lost in the 50s). With so many other places to try out with better quality and for a cheaper price, there is no reason to go back there again unless you left your memory in the 50s.

If I could give half stars I would rate 3.5, but this place is not quite worth 4. I had somewhat high expectations after reading some very positive reviews but was left underwhelmed. Yes we did takeout, but it was only a 15min drive home and I fully expect that the quality will Deteriorate somewhat from that, which I've taken into account when reviewing. I ordered the London secret with bacon, fries, and a large chocolate milkshake. The fries were not crispy which could have been from sitting in the takeout box but they also tasted like they had no salt on them at all. The milkshake was decent but honestly I've had better elsewhere and the large seemed more like a regular size to me... the burger was where I had the highest expectations. The patty itself was delicious- you can tell that they are made with quality beef and made by hand. However, unfortunately it was quite greasy and this resulted in the bottom of my bun being really soggy and off putting. My husband ordered the L.A. King which has more toppings than my burger and yet his bun was not soggy. He was happy with the burger but said it wasn't anything over the top to have him rushing back for. He had fries instead of poutine which was really good and not lacking in cheese or gravy- actually I would say tooo much gravy (see pic). Overall, we are happy we tried it here but will probably go elsewhere next time we are craving a burger.

Get ready to step into the time machine when you choose to indulge on your next burger from here. Everything housee made, including the buns! Fresh pressed sirloin burger patties served with "The Works" then topped with your choice of accompaniments from cheese to mushrooms to bacon (you can even add a hot dog or fried egg!) We decided on The London (with mushrooms) and the ever polpular L.A. King (cheese, bacon and mushrooms) combo'd with homecut fries, a Coke and a Banana Fudge milkshake. Everythng is Delicious. We're coming back. The owner and crew are fabulous. Very limited indoor seating, but there are a few spots available outside. There is drive thru service available in keeping with the 50's theme - it would be cool if they brought back the burger hops!

You weren't wrong! Tasty burger and fries. The gentleman at the drive through window was really lovely. He said he bakes all of the buns in-house and cuts all the potatoes himself. He's also very proud that there are no preservatives in his sirloin. The kids loved their hot dog meals. Everything was really fresh! Will be back :)

I left my water and soda to drink them later after heading to washroom. Staff cleared my water and soda away. I still had half of soda in it. I felt thirsty after eating my food in the end. Outdoor seating only with a bunch of benches and a few tables. I already knew I was going to do take away, so I didn't need to jostle for a seat. Almost everyone else had to do the jostleing. Two piece cod and a salmon tacone. The cod was overcooked. The tacone was good. Fries were crispy and unevenly fried. Meaning some pieces were burnt a little. Still acceptable tho. I have Pajo's maybe once every couple of years, & so having visitors that were craving fish & chips - I recommended Pajo's. Located in the popular tourist area of Steveston Village in Richmond, Pajo's has been a pioneer of Fish & Chips in Metro Vancouver since 1985. There is even a location at the YVR Vancouver Airport in the food court near the photogenic - Jade Canoe. Get your fish & chips there before your flight takes off. Pajo's in Steveston Village is located right on the water - a floating restaurant. Seating is outdoors under patio umbrellas. Watch out for those pesky seagulls & crows. We tried the Wild Snapper & Wild Cod as well as the Fish Tacos. We added a bit of vinegar to the chips & voila - excellent. The fish are not too heavily battered, not too oily & tasted fresh. It's that crispy golden looking batter that really excites anyone having Fish & Chips. For some reason they were out of Salmon which would have been nice to try. Regardless, our UK visitors gave Pajo's two thumbs up.

The fish pieces are smaller than I remember. This time i got 2pc cod and chips. Service was pretty quick. Pricey, at around $24 but you get bottomless fries. The fish was moist, firm but flaky, and piping hot out of the fryer. Batter was a bit thick and greasy for my liking but at least it tasted fresh. Fries were fresh cut single-fried. Good when they're fresh and piping hot, but get soft and soggy really fast. Didnt taste too greasy though. Unsalted, which I like. You can always add salt yourself. The pricing is expensive but the bottomless fries make up for it a bit. There is ketchup, malt vinegar, hot sauce, and utensils on the side. Also a water fountain. If you go with say, a group of 3 and get a 3pc with bottomless fries, its not a bad deal. Just gets kind of greasy. Dont expect mushy peas or curry sauce/gravy or any other fixins like British fish and chips. food quality probably 3.5/5. Value if you take advantage of bottomless fries, 4/5. Its a nice place to hang out by the dock and have a quick bite, so accounting for the nice vibes, overall 4/5. Lots of free street parking in Steveston but you'll need to drive around hunting for an open spot during peak hours.
