When you hear a place is an "institution" or that's "it's been a key play in the community", Burger Heaven fits the bill. Since 1984,Burgers Heaven has been serving the New Westminster community with delicious eats and burgers a mile high! No joke! They got the Ernie's. Mile High Club Challenge! Challenge if you dare! The restaurant vibes feels like a blast from the past. A venue, similar to my grandmother's home, with photo collages of family, friends and appreciated guests that has eaten there in the last decade. But enough about that let's talk about the food. The average price you'll be paying for a burger creation is about $21. Each burger comes with a salad or wedge potatoes. The basic burger $18, you pay for any add ons. We ordered: "The Works" Burger $24.69 Thai Beef Burger $21.79 Milkshake Special (white chocolate latte) Both burgers were meaty and heavy on the toppings. There was little to no space on the plate that wasn't covered in wedge potatoes. Overall a great experience. Staff was friendly and diligent. As for places to park, there are several spots in front so no need to fight for parking. We love supporting small businesses! So go and take a look and grab a milkshake (or a boozy one), and feel the history and get ready to enjoy a great burger!

Brilliant burgers . The servings are $23 and up but they are huge. The whole decor and service is fun experience . The service was attentive and terr. Highly recommend this place . Note their special of the day usually includes two sides rather than the usual one joy get off the main menu

The fact that this restaurant does not have 5 stars is UNHOLY!!!!! We come to new west once a year and always make it a priority to go to burger heaven. It is delicious, consistent, and honestly just so damn tasty!!! Highly recommend!!! Cute and cozy ambiance too.

Wow! This place over delivered. Here on a Sunday afternoon. Pretty quiet. Service was friendly and the food came out fast!! My husband had the Thai beef burger, I had the Hawaiian. They were both delicious!! These were the best yam fries I've ever had! Real yams. Not salty. Just cooked and sweet on the inside, crunchy on the outside. The decor is very rustic cabin. Pretty cool place! Will definitely be back! The only disappointment was they no longer have their exotic burgers like they used to. No lamb, bison, or fish.

When did they shrink the beef?

Update: They changed the buns. And its awful. Used to have seads on it and was tasty..not its just a dry ol' bun. Also, the meat was half the size??? Upped the prices but gave me half the amount of beef (see photo) First time I've been disappointed by this place.

My favorite place to eat in all of British Columbia. If it's a nice day I suggest eating outside on the patio although there may be homeless people walking about. Inside is a little cramped but cozy. The price is high but a lot of things are in British Columbia. All of the burgers are great my biggest suggestion is getting the deep fried mushrooms.

    Onion rings

This is my favourite place for a burger, so come on by! The onion rings are the best appetizer. It's perfectly crispy and enormous. It's better in the larger version (not the side) as you get larger rings. Not a fan of the regular salad as a side, there's a lot of it to eat. I might try the soup instead. The insanity burger was enjoyable to eat. Instead of burger buns, there are grilled cheese sandwiches encasing the insides. I only had half, but I had trouble finishing it with two sides. The backyard burger (special) was good as a standard burger. It might be better to try the make your own burger option though. Overall, great service and interesting burgers.

    The Works Burger ($21.39)

We stopped by for dinner over the weekend. We seated ourselves as directed by a server. A high chair was available for our child. We ordered the works burger, a heaven sent cod burger and a milkshake. Two out of the three items were fantastic. The works burger with wedges was the best item out of the three. You cannot go wrong with cheese, bacon and mushroom on a beef patty. The potato wedges were pretty good. The milkshake was creamy and full of blended strawberry goodness. It was more than enough to share between the three of us. Unfortunately, I was slightly disappointed with my cod burger. It was battered and fried perfectly but lacked flavour. It seemed like the chef forgot to season the fish. I needed extra tartar sauce to add flavour back into the fish patties. The potato bacon soup was very salty which made the fish taste bland in comparison. The bun, lettuce and tomato were fresh. It was just the fish was disappointing. Next time I will stick to a beef burger. Covid precautions were in place. Hand sanitizer was available. Contact information was collected for tracing purposes. Staff wore face masks. Social distancing was observed between tables. Prices were a bit on the higher side for a meal, but I think it was worth the quality of the food. Credit card payment accepted.

They say they have unparalleled burgers so they command a premium price for their burgers at the high 10's. The works burger was $19. However, though they do boast a wider selection of toppings for their burgers, their treatment of the ingredients is typical. Nothing special. Their patty was okay. Not dry. A bit moist from being cooked with mushrooms. Mushrooms added a bit of umami. But the patty lacked a charboiled flavour. It's just tastes like beef. A burger of this caliber can be found elsewhere for a cheaper price.

I lucked out though and managed to secure a couple of seats for my friend and I. In my humble opinion, I think we got the best seats in the house. We were right by the window which gave us a nice view of the outdoors and while it wasn't super far away from the other tables in the restaurant, I think it was slightly more private by the window than anywhere else in the restaurant. My friend ordered a coffee. I ordered an iced Choco Matcha and we shared an Acai bowl. Our server brought us two extra cups for sharing our Acai bowl. That wasn't something we had requested so I think that was a very thoughtful gesture. Five stars for the service! I found the Acai to be much runnier than what I've encountered in other shops. It's usually more solid and easier to scoop. This Acai bowll also seemed less sweet than other Acai bowls I have had. That didn't make it any less enjoyable though and that probably also means that it was healthier. Healthy while still being enjoyable is a win-win in my books. The Choco Matcha Latte was good as well. I appreciated how accommodating the restaurant was with bringing us cups to share, and splitting the bill for us. We did sense towards the end that they kinda wanted us out of there so that other people could sit in the restaurant. We'd been there for awhile though so this was very understandable and I wouldn't say that they rushed us or pressured us to leave. They had trays of freshly baked goods for sale, closer to the cashier. I might go in sometime just to take a look at some of their baked goods and hopefully take something home with me! Food: Good Service: Excellent

This could be the greatest staff in all of Southern BC. Patient, kind, humorous. Not only can they explain the different items and their ingredients, they can describe exactly how it all tastes. To which they are 100% accurate! The six of us played community food, but what's the point here? All the poutine was awesome. Oh well, it's fun to share. Yes, get The Gaucho "Cowboy", but also try the Butter Chicken, Vegetarian Chili and my favourite, the Le Montreal. ALL the poutines rocked! The burgers are juicy and full of flavour. This group has found a way to marry all the flavours so they complement each other all through the meal until the end. Portion size was another crazy, happy surprise. So much so that the cost no longer matters (as you may have guessed, the cost was reasonable). Still, if it's just a couple of you, you might go regular as opposed to jumbo...unless you're thinking late night leftovers. We pigged-out and didn't get a chance to reheat this food. Mistake on my part. 05/25
