Then they have you pick your own table and bring your food out to you when it is ready. This seems to be a common theme with the restaurants in Pittsburgh. I ordered the buffalo fried chicken sandwich with fries and the hubby ordered chili dogs. We also ordered two Cokes which came in glass bottles. Very fancy but not much in those little bottles. We had to buy another one while we ate. The food was phenomenal!! My chicken sandwich was juicy and flavorful. But the real winner here were my hubby's chili dogs. Those were the best chili dogs we've ever had!!! Yes, I said we because I had to try them out. The chili sauce is off the chain!!! So delicious! And not a bad price for all the food either. They do whole animal butchery with meat sourced from local Pennsylvania farms, and you can feel how much the folks working there care about what they're doing. It's not a huge space, just a display case full of cuts, a wall of house made goods, and a small sandwich menu, but that's part of the charm. The staff were friendly and happy to point me in the right direction. The sandwiches are what really got me though. The smash burger is fantastic, a double patty on a challah bun with that special sauce, and you can actually taste the quality of the beef, which makes sense given the whole operation is built around good meat. I also grabbed some of their house made pastrami, and it did not disappoint, tender and full of flavor.
