We were meeting our grandson and his mother and father for a pre-concert meal. We had never been to this part of downtown Binghamton, so an adventure for us. This restaurant is in an old building reconfigured into a bar and grill. The menu was actually quite extensive. We ordered several appetizers to go along with our drinks, mostly beer. They were very good even though small portions. Next it was time to order our dinners. Most had actual burgers, but I ordered the ahi tuna. This came on a roll with an Asian slaw. It was very good. Wanted to get a bite to eat before a show at the forum for my friends birthday. Was so excited, place looked great. Never got to try the food because we waited 45 minutes after ordering with no food in sight. We asked the waitress and she told us it would be another 15-20 minutes, so over an hour total, for our food to arrive. All we were getting was burgers/sliders. As I looked around there was 10+ tables just like us in the same situation. One of the few tables that did get food immediately boxed it up and left, saying it was all cold already. On 3/28 I was in town for business we chose Here to eat. I'd like to say that the service which was provided was phenomenal. Our server was polite and attendant. The food was mediocre at best. We ordered fried pickles which were super dry and crusty (needed to change fryer oil) and seasoned fried were soggy and cold , with a poor seasoning on them which looked haphazardly dumped on the pile of fries. The Fried chicken here is AMAZING!!! Our waitress kept checking on us it was very much appreciated and for that we gave her a pretty decent sized tip and she was very appreciative of that! Now to the food , the appetizer was fried pickles, they came out very hot as they should CAS they were very close to being burnt! We started off with the calamari salad and it was really good. My wife order a Cesar salad with grilled chicken and she asked for extra Cesar on the side. The waitress brought her a Thai chicken salad. She then had to wait for her actual salad. Once it did arrive the dressing was not Cesar. It was some creamy garlic tasting glop. She didn't eat the salad, it was not fresh lettuce and the flavors were not a typical Cesar salad. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with the Granny Smith apple slaw. The slaw was good. The chicken was ok. However the sandwich has the creamy slaw, hot sauce and some type of aioli on it and it was just too soggy. The three sauces on the sandwich didn't compliment each other and it melded together to make a fairly funky flavor. This was disappointing and $65! I've been to many burger joints, but it seems like I haven't had a good burger in a long time. This all changed when I came to Burger Mondays. The burger was excellent. I had the Mondays Original burger. It was cooked exactly the way I like it and tasted amazing! The house cut fries were also very good. I also decided to try the Apple Strudel. I was expecting a small portion, but it was big enough to satisfy two or three people. It was so delicious that I ate the whole thing without even realizing it. What a delightful spot! We arrived very late in the afternoon, and were led to a generous booth-the hostess said we could choose anywhere we wanted. Our waitress was Michelle-and terrific. She recited the various specials, and did that rare thing-she announced the prices for every special item. She sold Nancy on the porchetta sandwich, which I never would expect to find in Broome County. Tender rolled pork loin and roast, roasted to perfection, stuffed with herbs. Sliced not too thin, the sandwich also had broccoli rabe, provolone cheese, and chimichurri, on a crisp ciabatta roll. It was a flavor and texture bomb of the highest order. And my burger was almost as good (but as others have noted, the disc of meat was too tall and didn't match the size of the bun). That said, it had terrific flavor and was cooked exactly as I requested. Both sandwiches came with a giant mound of house cut fries, hot and salty as they should be. We shared their house made chips and French onion dip first (think it had some horseradish), another nice portion. The calamari salad didn't match up to her memories, the calamari could've used another minute in the fryer, and c'mon-the salad would have improved with the deletion of the canned black California olives that were mixed in. Minor quibble. The Monday $5 bar burger special must pack them in. The Wolf Pup Session IPA was damn tasty too! Update: we've there a few times more, usually for their Monday special, $5 cheeseburger, available only at the bar after 5pm. The burgers are terrific, and come with a mound of fresh fries-a gigantic mound of them! Truly incredible bargain, as noted by the BU students always chowing them down. My son took me here for my birthday dinner. Two years ago it was fantastic so I wanted to go back. This time was very disappointing. The pork belly sliders were not sliders. It was a square bun that had been cut on a diagonal to make two. Sliders come on small round buns. They were drowned in sauce. Not good like two years ago. Garlic parmesan fries were very soggy and all parmesan. I had the ribeye sandwich. Not sure why I was asked for my preferred temperature when it was very thin and cooked well done. Once again very over sauced. Had the eat with a fork it was so soggy. Couldn't taste the steak there was so much sauce. The only saving grace was that the steak was tender at least. The coconut cream pie was almost all whipped cream. Very little coconut custard. Let's talk about ambiance. This place is in dire need of a facelift. Very dark and outdated. Not to mention the very thick layer of dust on the large pipes running overhead and scuffed black wall paint. We decided to go to Burger Monday's for my husband's birthday. We took our 11 & 13 year old with us and we all had a wonderful meal. The kids got milkshakes and we had wine-we all got burgers that were deliciously cooked to our specifications. We also had the fried pickles as an appetizer. Great service, great food and under $100! The apps (garlic parm fries & buff chick taco) were good although 2 tacos only so not enuff for 4 which we didn't know. Overall pretty tasty. Just had dinner here tonight, a Monday in fact!-- if you're looking for a great burger, this is the right place. Lots of wonderful choices among the burgers. I got the classic, and it was darn near perfect. (Could have used more cheese and crispier bacon as requested.) Even the hamburger roll is first rate. I usually don't write reviews however this place was so horrendous memorable that I had to write a review. I came in on monday with two people and expected to wait. The people I came with told me that it would be worth the wait and would have been coming here for a while. We came in, got seated in a corner, and didn't get our food till much later. We also got our food at different times, and it was just such a long wait. They were disappointed to bring me here as I thought this place was going to be good. I work in the restaurant business in the city and I always tip well and am always polite, however this restaurant was truly a disappointment. Amazing food! The British Tomato Soup was complex layers of flavors that came together perfectly! My husband and I both got burgers. I got the Classic, it was cooked perfectly, juicy and full of flavor with a super fresh and tasty bun! The fries and pickle were also great! Our waiter was great, but I think they weren't expecting the crowds to show up at that time of day and so he was trying to keep up with so many tables. He kept his cool though! Amazing tasting burgers! Great Vibes! Wonderful hostesses! I went there this past Tuesday for a friends birthday dinner and we were also extremely satisfied with our delicious burgers. We started with two orders of the chips and dip and these were some high quality chips, and not the usual tortilla chips. The dip was also very tasty. I ordered the pop frank and I completely forgot to take a picture, but I am convinced that this is the most tastiest burger I have ever had in awhile. The glaze that they had on the burger was amazing. My friend ordered the hot chicken and that was also very good! The chicken was tender and the sauce was spicy and addictive! Some complain about the pricing, but I say shut your pie hole, put on your big boy underpants and bring a bib because you will be eating for two. The steak sandwich and bison burger are great and my mom liked the chili. I don't eat much so I thought I was being smart by ordering two appetizers. Joke was on me. The ribs had a lot of meat and the garlic parm fries could've fed the entire table. It was a mountain. That being said, I did find the fries underwhelming, but for $6 its an appetizer for a table of 6 ppl. I did not finish my food. They have kids meal options too that are not listed on the menu, so be sure to ask your server. These "kids meals" are also a little bigger adult size portions too. Get the theme? Burger Mondays is a great place. A pretty large selection and variety, with big serving sizes. The price is definitely manageable and for what you're getting... it's worth it. The burgers are juicy and with plenty toppings, the fries are also great, the salads are good too, and big. To be fully honest, these are probably the best burgers from a local place in Binghamton. I've never had their chicken but I'm assuming it's on par with their other items. The staff is nice too. What makes this place a 4 has to be the atmosphere. The place itself seems like it's a temporary setup, with tables kind of strewn around with no real layout, and it looks like they set the restaurant up in an abandoned building, with random curtains and art pieces on the straight brick walls. Tablecloths look cheap, and it just creates a kind of a temporary and thrown together feel. Also, depending on where they seat you, you might not get a line of site with the TVs over the bar. But besides that, I feel like the food, price, and service is more important... and with that, this place is great. I'd recommend for a hangout or just to eat by yourself, but for a date? Probably not due to the state of the restaurant's atmosphere. read more

I use to frequent Burger Mondays very often until my last visit when they informed me that they now use dairy in the burger buns, I am highly allergic to milk, never had a problem in the past. Also the batter in the fried food has dairy also. (I did not get a meal and left) I wont ever go back here again unless they make some big strides to make it more friendly for those with allergies. I called (knowingly late in day) to order the surf and turf NYE special. I was informed that they didn't have any Delmonico left but could do it with a pork chop. I agreed to it and didn't think anything of it. Upon arrival I was kind of surprised to see they charged the same price as Delmonico for a bone in pork chop that was over cooked and 30% fat, maybe 5-6 full bites of meat. The vegetable was simply cooked mushrooms. Shrimp was small and sautéd..... We get their delicious burger boxes all the time and REALLY love them. Very disappointed in the turf. We will go back but only for the burger boxes. I want to do my part and support local but this meal of a pork chop and mushrooms is definitely not worth $50. read more

I came in on monday with a group of 4 people. First the main serving area seemed pretty empty however for the $5 "deal" they suggest you sit in a different area and wait an absurdly long time. This was my third time trying this place out due to the positive reviews. Upon ordering all at the time same time we received our food all at different times. Each of us ended up eating alone at different times. I live near the restaurant with a group of 32 people and every time I have been here it has always been a poor experience. Perhaps the food is good, perhaps the servers are well trained, however unfortunately I never had the chance to even receive my food. We hate to be complainers but this was brutal. Our server was horrendous. We watched other servers tell tables about specials, soup, etc. and the gentleman waiting on us said "do you need more time?" and didn't even say anything after he dropped our check back to us after we paid. Having been a server I'm surprised he was even hired there to be honest, the other severs seemed great which made him look worse. I'm sure the Pino Grigio I ordered was really a Riesling because it was so sweet I never said anything but we weren't charged so I guess maybe they knew that I don't know. Then our food came, we ordered medium but they were mostly well done, the outside was crunchy like they were placed on the flat top and forgotten. They were also heavily salted. Classic Burger $5 on a Monday, worth every penny. Downside is you have to sit at the bar to get the deal...even if EVERY. SINGLE. TABLE. is vacant. This has happened to me on a couple of occasions but I never bothered asking if I could get the deal at a table/booth in fear of the lady who works at the front yelling at me or giving me sass. I could be wrong but I just get that kinda vibe from her. I have been here during other days of the week besides Monday and I have tried other burgers and a couple appetizers, but in my opinion nothing else that I've tried is worth the price. I remembering ordering the ribs (forgot the exact name) for around $10 and I was so disappointed when they came out with a plate of 5 little squares of meat. The specialty burgers are essentially the same as the classic with a few extra toppings, warranting an extra $5-$10 which just seems ridiculous to me...having to pay nearly $20 for an average burger. I've eaten here a couple of times but now I'm reviewing them on the basis of picking up carry-out meals there during Coronavirus. I have done so four times in the last few weeks. If I want to bring in a dinner, they have become my go-to place and they're in downtown Binghamton. I'm in Apalachin, so something has to make them worth the trip. Two things do: the quality and the value. This is a really good kitchen and the specials they're running are a screaming value. The first time I ordered was on a Friday. It was something called a Date Night special which I think they now offer every Friday. Two well-seasoned ribeyes, and not small ones. Asparagus. Baked potatoes. Salad (the dressing was excellent). A pair of ice cream deserts. A bottle of Pinot Grigio - quite drinkable, by the way. Fifty bucks. I've been back three more times. I've yet to be disappointed by the food or the prices. My wife found their fajitas a bit on the spicy side, but they're still good. I'll continue to go back and if they continue to do this they are well worth supporting. read more

Who wants to eat fries with forks? Specials: On Mondays, they have a $5 original burger special, but you have to sit at the bar in order to get the deal... why?! I guess to promote getting a drink? But they would definitely have more business if you weren't restricted to the bar. Atmosphere: Their walls are painted black and there is minimal lighting.
