We tried this burger joint and were pleasantly surprised! This location is in a small plaza near the orange theory and the 711 gas station off Loudoun County parkway, and had plenty spaces to park. Their menu consisted of a variety of burgers and combo options, including fountain drinks and milkshakes. Food!! The angus burger was juicy and well seasoned, and the fries were fresh and crispy! Have tried this place a few times. Two of the 3 times, the service was pretty slow. The restaurant itself is pretty open with plenty of tables. I've has the angus beef, the hawaiian, and the spanish beef. The spanish beef was my favorite of the 3. The food overall is just ok. This spot is really convenient to a lot of shopping and newish to the South Riding neighborhood. The staff was very attentive upon arriving - so we could place orders for the food. This location allows you to eat-in, if you wish. The menu is in big print above the order station with photo's of the products. They have burger and non-burger options like fallafel, lamb, salmon and vegan burger. We ordered a lamb burger, a milkshake and a trio meal with Crispy chicken, grilled chicken and a regular cheese burger. The Milkshake was very tasty and prob one of the better ones in the area with a decent price. The fries were unique in cut, being circular slices - but were not crispy at all. The burgers, all of them - were dry and did not have flavor - they tasted like frozen heated up patties. The lamb burger on the menu looks very big and juicy but in the photo you can see it looks like a frozen patty and it was dense like one too. The Crispy chicken Sandwich (pictured below) was on the menu and looked like it was hand battered and yummy with crunch. It was not crispy and honestly made us think of a frozen filet-o-fish. Today was my first visit to this location. Prior to visiting, I read negative reviews on Yelp as well as throughout local social media groups. I wanted to try it for myself...well because I'm a Yelper...and that's what makes us happy!! I decided to go for dinner on a Thursday night. There were two families waiting for their food when I arrived. The appearance was clean and there seemed to be more than enough people on the clock. Again, because I had previously read about slowness, etc, I expected to see a very slim crew. Upon ordering, everyone was super nice and made sure my order was correct by repeating it back to me. While waiting for roughly $45 worth of food, I ventured off to snap a few pics for Yelp, and to decide on a soft drink (they have a freestyle machine, and some of the holiday flavors were alive)! The first item ready was the cookies and cream shake. It was well made (which means thick and pretty), and it taste as expected...like a cookies and cream shake. Personally, my order did not take long at all. I decided to eat at home, so my order was made to go. The real questions happened when I got home: Was my food prepared corrected? What did they forget? Will they ruin my meal and dinner time? When I checked my food, they actually did forget my pickles. And guess what? That did not ruin my food. I simply 'borrowed' a few from my husband's food. Hahahaha Simple fix! Honestly, let's say they forgot all the pickles. This would not have made this review any different. Heard BurgerIM was open so I decided to order some carry-out home for the family. We are glad to get more food places in South Riding. They are currently offering a coupon on Facebook for their grand opening. We ordered an Angus beef, a dry aged beef and a trio. Also for the price of fries alone, you can upgrade to a combo for fries and a drink. I upgraded to the garlic aioli fries and asked for it on the side, but when I got home, it was all over the fries. While waiting for the food, I heard someone order cajun fries and I had no idea they had that as I didn't see it on the menu. I was able to get a side of the cajun seasoning though. The burgers were alright IMO. I've had better burgers elsewhere. You can't pick how you want them done temperature-wise and they reminded me of frozen patties instead of fresh ground beef made to order. Also, I added bacon to the trio and my kids were not a fan of the bacon. It was a thick cut version that was very hard for them to bite into. The size of the burgers in the duo/trio are a good size for kids. They are bigger than the size of typical sliders. They just opened up this week so they are super slow and very, very busy. It took over 30 minutes before I got my food. I'm sure in a few weeks, the crowd will dwindle down, but I don't think we will be back. read more

The kitchen was a little slow which I would assume are new restaurant growing pains. I'm excited to try the rest of the things on the menu since I've only had a small burger. What was annoying was that the drink machine had less than 50% of options that actually worked. Definite new restaurant growing pains. Yes, wait times are a little long. Yes, the process is a little off. That said, almost the entire front off house staff was high school kids. They were doing an amazing job given the volume of people coming in. MOST customers were considerate, but a few upheld the fine SR tradition of complaining about absolutely everything. So the food... Wife got an Angus burger and I got the dry agreed burger. I've probably had a better burger, but definitely not one at a fast casual restaurant like this. The "fries" are like a combo of chips and fries. The staff were helpful - suggesting I try the Falafel Burger being that it was my first time there and I don't eat meat. The burger was great! Full of flavor and the sweet potato fries were hot and fresh. The portion sizes were appropriate for the cost of the meal. They also gave me ample of napkins and ketchup, but it was a lot for one burger and fries. Have extras now for future visits! These are tasty burgers. Their sides are good and the restaurant itself is clean. The service was adequate. They took the order without issue and brought it out quickly. When we arrived at 5:30 there was one couple eating a meal. The rest of the place was empty. When we walked up to the counter, no one said hi or greeted us. It was like a staring a contest. After the order was rang up and I saw the option to tip starting at 18%, I just laughed. So we sat at the counter and waited for our order. The entire time we are sitting at the counter, the owner is busy on his laptop. Now look I'm not an expert in customer relations but if I'm the owner of a franchise and I have four people in my restaurant I am going to make an effort to say hello and ask how everyone's food is tasting etc. By the way, this is exactly how the new Foster's Grille in South Riding is being run even during the mayhem of a rush. Over there the staff was helping clear tables and asking people if they could get them refills. That scene is not likely to happen at BurgerIM because I see no evidence of a crowd at rush hour and the owner sees patrons as walking dollar bills. So if you like good burgers, you can go there but you'll be treated like an imposition not a customer. read more

My Angus and lamb burgers were a little on the well done side but I expect that from most casual restaurants. House sauce has a nice flavor but I would order it on the side in future and put a little less on. Onion rings are thickly breaded but very tasty. All in all a good meal and great service. So I was really bummed when They were out of diet soda. This left me with unsweetened ice tea or water. Then I learned that they don't have packets of sugar or sugar substitutes. We came in the week they first opened.  Not because we wanted a burger, but because we wanted to support a new and local business (knowing what happens here in our "neighborly friendly neighborhood".)  Super Sweet and super friendly girl working the register, friendly manager and good food.   Example of management customer service:  I went to go find a plastic knife so we could cut our burgers in two to share and experience different burgers.  As I was walking toward the napkin/soda station to look for one, the manager immediately noticed me and asked if I needed help.  He provided me with a plastic knife right away.  The place was slammed.  The kitchen, the counter, the line, the tables....busy busy busy.  And yet, he still noticed one person (me) with a need and assisted right away without being asked. I'm giving 2 stars for the fries. They were good enough to satisfy a fry craving. As for the Angus burger...well, it fell waaay short of expectation and was really ordinary. The whole meal deal wasn't worth 10 bux. Not much flavor for Angus beef, thin patty like you'd get at any usual chain, and sauce and onions overpowered any hope of tasting the meat. Doesn't even enter the ballpark of Red Robin or Habit Burger for a fast food burger, and I really wish I could get my 10 bux back. The cheese didn't even taste like real cheese... kinda fake plastic wrapped cheese-like. The whole meal wasn't very satisfying for the price or palate. I'll go down the road for bottomless fries at Red Robin or a better fast food deal at the Habit...or go the distance for a really yummy burger at Not Your Average Joe's or Clyde's. There are too many burger options around here, and although a great local location, I'm not motivated to go back...even for the fries. The atmosphere was kinda weird, too. Didn't feel really inviting or like a cool place to hang out and enjoy the food. Seems like a great place for local kids to work, but they seemed more focused on their lives than the customers. For it being a new location, didn't seem too clean and didn't feel like the staff put food handling and hygiene high on their list. Ridiculously long wait times - please beef up your staff. Also after each order is ready they bring it out and throw a cheesy line "sorry for the long wait..appreciate it" They successfully managed to mess up every item on the order --- great job folks! They yell out the order and it is very confusing as to which order is ready for pickup- I suggest they use one of the TVs to display the order status. Me and my husband were excited to see a burger place opening close by. This is our first experience having BurgerIM ever and were quite disappointed. I read reviews before trying it and saw that wait times were a little ridiculous so my husband ordered it over the phone hoping that by the time he went for a quick grocery run the food would be ready. NOPE. All we ordered was a beef burger and 12 garlic wings and he still waited 5 mins for our order(total 25 min from call). Taste and appearance. We were expecting a juicy thick burger patty. The complete opposite. This patty was as thin as the McDonald's patty and tasted no better. There was no pride in making the burger either. Everything was tossed in and pressed in. So don't expect to get a burger anywhere close to their advertisement photos. Now the wings...yes they were large but soggy and pretty tasteless. The wings at Giant's hot buffet taste better than these and cost less. The wings are packed in a paper box which completely falls apart. My wings came out the bottom of the box onto my dinner table. The chicken doesn't taste fresh either so I threw them out after only 3 wings. A waste of time $20. First and last BurgerIM. Shame on you read more

The South Riding location opened up in Early Nov 2019 and man they should have waited to open. The issues I encountered: 1. Manager and or Owner did not know how to work the Keypad system 2. I asked for a Duo order and started to say my order, quickly interrupted by the owner. 3. Owner said my order was "see, that's a problem" to his staff and explained to them how that was a problem, spoke to me a minute later on how it was a "problem" 4. I ordered a Crispy chicken with cowboy style which is Cheddar cheese, Bacon, onion ring, and BBQ sauce. 5. The problem was that he changed what the problem was twice. First problem was "we don't do cowboy style on the non big burgers." Second problem was " the system wouldnt work to complete your order." 6. Both problems were Bull as I have ordered Cowboy style on duo and trio orders at Brambleton, Arlington and Sterling location. 7. I informed him that I could order each ingredient separately on the duo order. Example: Order a crispy chicken and instead of saying "cowboy style" just add the each topping on the crispy chicken for .79 cents each. He said that was not possible. 8. Most soda flavors were missing from the Coca Cola machine 9. Most of my Garlic Aioli fries were missing garlic aioli. The reason this did not get zero stars is because we had two separate employees come up to us and ask how our meal was. Will never go back to this location. read more

Ok. I was close to giving this place 2-3 stars but they didn't disappoint. I came here to order four burgers and some fries/wings. I'm not a fan of places that have an iPad that ask you to tip right after you order. Why do you have to tip without receiving any food or service? Anyways, I tipped $8 for my order and when it was ready, I grabbed it and left (was a to go order). Drove 15 minutes home and realized that there were only three burgers instead of four. I was annoyed and quickly drove back out. We had called earlier in the day and they said they would be open until at least 5 or 6pm as it was Christmas Eve. I returned to ask about my missing burger just a few minutes after 5pm, and the lights were dim and the staff was cleaning. Luckily the door was unlocked as someone unlocked it to take out the trash. I walked inside and the girl that had helped me before recognized me and had my missing burger still waiting by the hot area and was keeping it warm. So they cooked all my burgers but forgot one in the bag. Mistakes happen and I was glad I didn't have to wait for them to cook the burger again and that they were keeping it warm for me until I came back to grab it. Also the girl apologized a few times for having me come back and drive back to the restaurant on Christmas Eve. Anyways the food was delicious (not as hot at this point but still good) and the dry chips were very good as well. It didn't seem overpriced for gourmet burgers and we will be back! read more

We tried Burgerim on Nov 17 and due to all of the reviews I have been reading lately on social media, I feel compelled to share our experience when I otherwise was not going to. Our food was yummy. I had a custom cheeseburger and chips- both were delicious and the order was correct. The cashier was very helpful with me making choices for topping and navigating the menu. The food was made in a prompt manner. I would not take off stars for this, but an extra bonus upon receiving my meal would be to thank me for me business and to have a wonderful day (above and beyond I know, but little details like this can really bring customers back). I really enjoy supporting local business owners when given the chance. Contrary to what other reviews have said, the owner was extremely pleasant and friendly! I knocked off a star because I wasn't that big a fan of the meat but I am just super picky when it comes to burgers in general. Although the garlic aioli fries were delicious, it can be a bit overbearing and suggest getting it on the side for dipping instead. I plan to be back but maybe to try their falafel sandwich instead. I wanted to say that please have patience with the cashiers and runners of the food. No they're not excellent, but they're trying their best because 90% of them are local High School STUDENTS. They are doing everything they can and are under a lot pressure from management. So please be patient with them. For management on the other hand... That's a whole other story and they do not deserve the patience. My cashier was really sweet today (he was probably 16 years old) and was very patient with my long take out order for my family. At the end made sure he got everything right while confirming which ones where meals and the others were the burger only. Management on the other hand, were very rude to their workers and basically blaming them for any rude customers and acting as if it was their fault they were treated badly. For example, one woman left angry because the food took a very long time and she didn't even wait for her food she just left (if you're reading this miss, I understand why you left it did in fact take a LONG time). As the HIGH SCHOOL (therefore CHILD) employee was telling the manager, the manager got mad at the student employee and I could tell was almost blaming him and had an extreme attitude. What was the boy suppose to do? Run after her and give her another fake time frame for when her food will be ready? There was also another moment where an employee was coming through with a mop to clean up the cashier rep because it was wet. The manager wouldn't let him pass and told him to go away and get the proper mop. Understandable that he needed a different cleaning tool, but the way the manager treated him was really rude and cold. Throughout my 30 minutes waiting at the bar for the food, the manager continuously was rude and just plain out cruel to his employees who were just trying their best. I would honestly straight up give this place a 2 star because of the bad wait time and management, but in honor of the hardworking cashiers and runners, I'll give it a 3. Keep up the good work kids. You're doing great sweetie ;) For management, fix your attitude. If you haven't noticed, it's a huge turn off and you're business is going down.
