This is my leftover wings from yesterday and they look and taste just as delicious! I forgot to take pics from the tray of 50 pieces I ordered for our Christmas luncheon. Not the first time I placed a large order and certainly not the last! Their chicken is always on point, seasoned perfectly and fried to golden brown. Yes, it is located in a gas station. But who cares! The best fried chicken around here and my family loves it! Usually place my order about 30 minutes in advance and they fry it fresh. The skin is super crispy and well seasoned. And don't forget the biscuits - especially the blueberry ones. The honey butter one is good, but the blueberry ones are such a delight! A friend told me about KKC two years ago and I can't believe that I am now just stopping by for the first time. We stopped by on a Sunday night around 5pm and the wait was about 10 minutes for chicken. Let me tell you, this is some of the freshest, crispiest, juiciest, and best fried chicken that I've had from anywhere. The spices are amazing and the skin is crisp af. We ordered a 2-piece mixed meal and both the thigh and the breast were equivalently juicy. This was supposed to come with the honey butter biscuit, which they ran out of, so the man behind the counter substituted the biscuit with fries which were decent. On top of this, I was pleasantly surprised to see the momos on the menu. We ordered the chicken momos which were also delicious. The spices were warm and both sauces complemented the momos perfectly. This little gem of a restaurant, in the middle of nowhere Chantilly, inside a gas station convenience store is incredible. The wings were juicy inside and lightly crunchy outside. Not layers of fried flour like in some other places. Not too salty, well seasoned and just enough spice to make the mixture work. The honey biscuit was soft, moist and dangerously addictive. I could have eaten 10 of those lol. The jambalaya was well flavored but if there was any critique, it would be that it was a bit dry... still very good. The service was very good. I ordered the Krispy buffalo wings with the mixed dark and white chicken pieces. The chicken is surprisingly flavorful without being overly oily like its competition. I prefer this over Popeyes and KFC because they take their time to freshly cook the chicken. The blueberry biscuit has a nice hint of berry sweetness that isn't overpowering. It compliments the salinity of the chicken well and cleanses the taste pallete. They also give a huge portion of waffle fries. The staff was nice enough to tell me about momo, a Nepalese dish that they deliver. It's a type of meat with a brothy soup that's wrapped inside a dumpling. The steaming hot dumpling is cooled with a savory brown sauce. Message to the owners: Invest in a larger sign so customers can tell theres something more than just a gas station and convenient store. We saw a recent news article that was titled something like "the biggest friend chicken chain restaurant that you don't even know of" or something like that. We realized that this was right in our backyard (well 5 minutes away). This location is located at a gas station (I think all of the restaurants in this chain are located in a gas station) and the gas station is not a main stream one (Sunoco, Exxon, Mobil, etc.). The gas station was very small and didn't have many things to purchase. As you walk in, the chicken place is in the back of the shop to the right. We ordered a typical chicken meal (they didn't seem to have any spicy flavors, unless I got Cajun chicken strips) and it took about 45 minutes to cook. As others have said on here (I should have listed to Yelp!), place your orders via phone in advance! I had to stand around for 45 minutes doing nothing waiting for my chicken to cook. The chicken was very crunchy, but had more oil than I was expecting. I think it was because they were busy and they literally took the chicken out of the deep fryer and placed it into my carton. Other fried chicken places tend to cook their chicken in advance and place them on a rack where the chicken can drip off all the excess oil. The location seemed peculiar (within a liberty gas station) and it was slightly off putting at first but I figured I'd still give it a try and I'm so glad I did. They're a Cajun fried chicken place but they also serve dumplings/momo dishes as well as a couple other dishes (Indian cuisine I believe) which we also tried. We got a 10 piece tender and a momo platter with a side of fries and for 2 people it was A LOT of food.
