I DO NOT recommend this business to anyone for their wedding venue…read more The owner was consistently late with getting back to me, made changes without notifying me, failed to make changes I did ask for, and I did not get all the services I paid for. I paid for a bartender, a service staff, and the coordinator (which came with my base package.) I received a bartender and coordinator who tried to do the job of the service staff. They were obviously in over their heads. My wedding guests had to help them flip the room for the reception and help set up with the caterer. My guests also helped with packing to leave/cleanup. The whole intenerary was off schedule, the wrong cues were made, and everything started to go wrong from the beginning. Things started to really fall apart, however, around 9 p.m. So I decided to go ahead and pack up and leave. The coordinator and owner accused one of my guests of stealing the tulle on the archway, saying it was theirs. My mother bought that tulle, it was a 7-yard long piece and didn't match their tulle. I have the receipt for it. Furthermore, they lost my wedding favors and part of my decorations that were dropped off the previous day at rehearsal. They were supposed to be locked up and obviously weren't. No apology was made and no recompense was offered for the loss. I caught her in a couple of lies myself and I have witnesses to all of these events. They are dishonest, unorganized, and unprofessional. You should look elsewhere for your wedding day.

This is the South and they love their Confederate War history here. The marker is in great shape and from here, there is a great view of the water. Near this site on March 20, 1863, Confederate soldiers commanded by Captain Walter J. Robinson repelled a landing by Union sailors led by Acting Master James Folger of the blockading vessel U.S.S. Roebuck. The 11-man scouting party of Union sailors was seeking to locate a southern civilian vessel near the "Old Town" spring, when they were reportedly ordered to surrender by Captain Robinson. During the ensuing skirmish, several Union sailors were killed and wounded as they fled to their launch boat. Quarter, or safe passage, was requested by the remaining Union sailors to retrieve their dead and wounded. Total Union casualties were six dead and three wounded. Union sailors buried four of the deceased on nearby Hurricane Island, and a fifth sailor was interred by the Confederate soldiers. No casualties were recorded by the Confederate unit, which later became Company A of the 11th Florida Infantry Regiment. After the conclusion of the Civil War, the remains of the Union sailors were removed to the national cemetery at Fort Barrancas.

I'd like to say, I've been here a countless number of times over the last several years and have…read moreonly had 2 instances where it was subpar, both times it's been with bartenders having a piss poor attitude toward patrons. Ive been to this place and supported like it was a second home, bringing numerous amounts of people from out of town and also locals. Patrons care about this place that's for sure, it would be great if that message was translated back to the customer as well. Tonight there was a $35 dollar cover PER PERSON to even ENTER the building. I tried to enjoy it but they had the most shabby bar set up outside with the surplus of ROACHES that run around, it was incomprehensible to me to even buy a drink in that environment. When my girlfriend and I first went inside, we were greeted with the utmost hostility from the lady running the door with the pink hair and butterfly tattoo on her throat. I wanted an answer from our regular bartender to see if she could accommodate me and a disability that prevents me from standing for long periods. I was expressing my concern that there was no open seating out front and that we wanted to try the bar and just stay there but another short male bartender told us to "get the f*** out, it's a paid show" Tonight has completely changed my mind on the professionalism and overall vibe of the place. I will be letting other people know what was experienced tonight and the astronomical "cover fee" to see a band we have no interest in at all. It's a Saturday and this establishment is limiting its clientele to kids who will pay $35 a head to see a simple band, also this establishment will NOT accommodate disabilities or care you're a regular, be warned. I changed my 5 star review to a 1 star, it's not hard to care about ALL your guests that regularly support your bar, tonight was sincerely disappointing and completely changed my mind on the place :(
