She also said that while she had availability she wasn't just an overnight hotel and that we should call Hotels.com to get our money back. "I don't know who you paid, but you didn't pay me." There were 3 rooms listed on Hotels.com. We booked The Dahlia room. The owner didn't even have the courtesy to come and speak to us in person and offered no assistance. A terrible experience.

We have used the RC for two client appreciation/business development events and not only do we love it, our clients do too! The food is always great (a highlight is the appetizer bacon wrapped dates), the drinks are tasty and the bartenders are pleasant, and as an organizer I think the spaces are beautiful and perfectly decorated. The food prices are kept wonderfully low. Clubs do want members to actually hangout. Whoever prepares the rooms for check-in - seeing the end of my toilet paper somehow elaborately folded into a flower and then using it to wipe for the first time? I have many a magical photo of daring sunsets taken from the high hill view. Down below is seashore accessable from rickety stairs. Not too much down there. Fun to hunt sand dollars -There are many at low tide. Beware, though, of the marihuana enthusiast who generously share their fowl smelling fumes. And the trashy kids that loiter in the parking lot and fornicate in their vehicles... Sad stuff. No judgement.

The event was seamless. We worked with Heli and she is a true professional and absolute delight. Also there wasn't enough candles as it was in other states. The chair we sat was very stiff and it hurt to sit for 1 hour or maybe I am too skinny lol I guess all this imperfections is Fevers fault because Block 41 its just an event space. Good thing that we coud change seat and come closer because a lot of seats were empty. Overall was good to be out. Overall its a good event space with bathrooms and 2nd floor. My husband John and I were married at Wine and Roses Country Estate in October, 2012. The entire property, and especially the barn, was flawless on the day of our wedding and there were so many gorgeous photo opportunities it was difficult to take advantage of them all. The farmhouse, cellar and tree house were perfect hangouts for us and our wedding party during the day, and many of my guests enjoyed exploring the beautiful grounds while taking a break from dancing. Whereas other venues had hidden fees and added costs, Wine and Roses provided all of the tables, chairs, facilities and transitions we needed, even going out of their way to request that draperies hung for another event the weekend before remain up for us to use free of charge. Johanna, the venue owner, was professional, flexible and easy to work with both leading up to and on the day of our wedding. Rather than see us as just another business arrangement at the tail end of her busiest season, Johanna demonstrated true commitment to making our day special, seamless and fun. Johanna was also able to provide some great recommendations and reviews as we selected our other vendors, which helped us put together a great team of experienced professionals for the day. Melissa, the venue coordinator, was responsive to all of our questions leading up to the big day, even going so far as to help us find ways to trim the budget without sacrificing the important details and special touches. For larger events, I would definitely recommend using Melissa's Jubilee Weddings services for set up and take down. For a very small charge, all set up, preparation and take-down was taken care of on the day of the wedding, giving my family and friends more time to simply enjoy the day. While I was at first concerned to learn that Melissa could not be on-site for our wedding day, she was careful to communicate all details to the day-of coordinator, Leslie, who did a fantastic job at implementing our vision and keeping the day on-schedule. Even our complicated centerpieces were set up perfectly and packed up carefully at the end of the night. While I'm confident that our wedding day would have been memorable regardless of the venue, the staff at Wine and Roses truly made the day's logistics run smoothly, always with our vision and our guests' comfort in mind, which allowed us to relax, focus on the moment and enjoy the day!

The AV accommodations were also inclusive as they provided video conferencing and cords/attachments for different devices. They also provided us with coffee and water--with the ease of catering/dashing food as needed. Overall, 10/10 recommend and we will definitely be back next time we're in town!

My reservation was just cancelled the morning of. I am thankfully a Seattle local, but what if I…read morehad flown in? There is nothing available now, this was my last resort in the first place and now I am stuck. I'm in 12 hour work days on Saturday and Sunday and desperately need somewhere to stay so I don't have to tack a 2 hour commute to the beginning and end of my days. And now I am left with no option and 16 hour days. The explanation was "emergency situation", which is exactly what I'm now left with. Since booking, the experience has not been great. I booked via phone on 7/29 and was asked to send a check immediately, so I waited for an email. 4 days later when I was on vacation for my birthday I followed up and was finally given the information. She wanted me to mail a check the next day, but I didn't bring a checkbook on vacation, so I had to do the next best thing and utilize Bank of America's online system to mail a check. This usually takes a week since it's considered "bill pay". I was informed the check was delivered August 9th, and the money came out of my bank account, but she said it was not received. Not a huge deal, just had to call the bank and cancel it, so I sent another check. I had been waiting to hear that it arrived when I am woken up with a text this morning that my reservation is cancelled. So now my husband and I are scrambling and I have no idea what to do. We've already paid our pet sitter and he took the next 2 days off work. Losing money and being stuck is not a fun situation to be in.

We stayed in the Arbor Cottage because it was separate from the other rooms and was its own cottage. There was a nice little deck to enjoy, too. Perfect for playing a board game if you find that kind of thing romantic (maybe we are strange that way...). A jacuzzi is always nice, too. I don't recall this place costing as much when we went a few years back, so $175 seems a little high, but if you've got it to spend, this is a beautiful place to spend it, and taking the ferry to Vashon Island and just driving around is fun, too.
