    Tasting room!
    Barbara S.

Tried out this wine bar for our book club meeting. Great place to hang out. Comfy seating near stove type heaters along with bar seating and tables strewn about the place. The wine selection is really good. Flights of wine to choose from and even beer on tap for those who don't drink wine. Various tapas type plates available along with a few dessert selections. Our group tried a flight of bubbles each, then ordered a bottle to share. Also had a snack plate of olives, cheese and nuts. Desserts were also a hit! Very tasty and just the right portion. All in all a really nice place, although it was really loud that evening and it was a little pricey compared to other wine tasting rooms. Parking is not that great, but if you're lucky enough to grab a spot, it's worth checking out!

The absolute best wine bar I've ever been to. Every time I walk in the door I receive A+ customer service. I'm still gaining knowledge on wine and trying to branch out and be a little bit more daring. The owners are always very helpful in helping me find a bottle for myself or a gift for someone else. They have an amazing and huge selection of wines with many of them available for a great price. Whether you're on a budget or looking to splurge, this place is for you. They offer tastings by the glass as well as flights. The setting is perfect for for a get together with friends or an evening alone. This is the go to gift place as they have such a huge selection that anything you pick up is bound to impress. I'm such a huge fan of Humble Vine and I always love coming in to try something new. Definitely recommend this place and it's a Burien gem.

The place is small but with lots of good vibes. The wine is average but not bad--a good place to hang out. I give five stars because the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were okay. Also, it was within walking distance of our place, which is a plus. The place is located in downtown Burien, close to restaurants and bars.

    Rainbow flight at the bar!

Incredibly tasty rainbow flight. The space is warm and inviting full of well decorated accents and a very inviting atmosphere. The newly made bar is comfy, clean and spectacular. Highly recommend that you stop in for wine (or a pint)! Ola was amazing and made us feel at home.

This may well be the coolest wine bar in Washington state. My wine pro husband and I, also a wine pro, go in and out of every wine shop and wine bar we come across. Far too many restaurants or wine shops call themselves wine bars. A true wine bar has wine flights, ever-changing, and a wide selection of harder to find wines to buy and to try. A wine Bar selling wines distributed to Safeway and Costco is really lazy. Humble Vines has at least 15 wines by the glass, fabulous well curated flights, as well as beer, very friendly, very educated people behind the bar. Jody and Ryan are awesome. And to top it off it's very comfortable, fun, records playing. Can't get enough of this great place!

Mixed plate-meat and cheese! So delicious!!

Per usual, I had a fantastic evening at Humble Vine! The addition of the snack boards are great- they pair with all the wines they have in stock. I think this is going to become my coworkers and my weekly un-WINE dates!

On a Sunday late morning, instead of going to have some breakfast brunch in Tacoma at Denny's (my…read morefavorite grand slam breakfast), the family decided to eat at this classic nice restaurant. There's no parking so we had to park on the streets around the area. The decor is very nice and classic. I liked it. The breakfast menu has everything you can ask for. The service is excellent, attentive and fast. I ordered the French Toasts with bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs. The french toasts are thick and the best I've had anywhere, very moist and flavorful with maple syrup. The egg benedict looks desirable. Yes, it's only a classic American restaurant New Orlean Style but the ambient and decor make it's nice and enjoyable. Too bad that I wasn't there long enough to try the Southern Cuisine. The place is loud, so everyone can talk to their heart desire and no one would care. I think it's a great Sunday Brunch for any family. The prices are quite reasonable IMHO.

Okay y'all... we went BACK to Back Sundays for some classic eats, and this time we brought my…read morecousin with us because apparently one visit wasn't enough. The FIRST time we went, we ordered from the dinner menu and when I tell you... EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD. We got the Jambalaya Grits BOMBBBB!!! The Cajun Chicken Pasta good. The Strawberry Chicken Arugula Salad refreshing and flavorful. And the Shrimp Delight another winner! Honestly, after that meal we were already talking about coming back for dinner again because there were SO many other things we wanted to try. So this time we came back for BRUNCH, and y'all... the Shrimp & Grits were GOOD. But the real surprise for me was the Country Fried Steak & Eggs with that jalapeño gravy. I did NOT realize I needed jalapeño gravy in my life like that. That sauce was EVERYTHING! The drinks were solid, the vibes were good, and the service was great. The desserts were probably the only thing that didn't really wow us they were kinda mid BUT honestly, everything else was easily a 10/10 in my book. And YES... we're definitely coming back. There are still too many things on that menu I need to try! BRUNCH TIP: If you want brunch, make sure you go between 9:00 AM-2:00 PM. Dinner starts at 2:30 PM, because they switch over the food/menu around then. So if you're looking for somewhere to eat, come with us! I'm always down for a good food adventure, and Back Sundays is officially on my "we need to go back" list. Food: 10/10 Vibes: 10/10 Drinks: Solid Desserts: Mid Would I go back? ABSOLUTELY.

Extremely disappointing experiences at Le Grand Comptoir on two separate occasions…read more My first experience occurred when my flight was significantly delayed until late in the evening. The restaurant was still actively serving guests, with numerous people eating and drinking at the time. I politely asked the bartender for a simple soda water. Instead of offering any explanation, alternative, or basic courtesy, he immediately refused service. There was no effort to help, no kindness, and no acknowledgment that I was a stranded traveler dealing with a stressful delay. Several weeks later, I returned during normal business hours and unfortunately encountered the same employee. This time, I simply asked for a cup of ice. Once again, I was told no. He stated that he could not provide a cup and that I would need to sit as a customer before he would provide ice. When I asked what other options were available, none were offered. The interaction felt exactly like the first one: rigid, dismissive, and completely lacking in hospitality. Thankfully, the manager was present during my second visit. After taking some time to think about how I wanted to handle the situation, I obtained a cup elsewhere in the airport, filled it with ice, and returned to speak directly with her. She listened to my concerns, apologized, and was able to help immediately. That experience highlighted my main concern. The issue is not the ice. The issue is not the water. The issue is not even the policy. Businesses have policies, and I respect that. The issue is that it should not require a manager to fulfill a basic human need or to show basic human kindness. Travelers passing through airports are often exhausted, stressed, delayed, dehydrated, dealing with medical conditions, rushing between flights, or simply trying to make it through a difficult day. Hospitality matters in those moments. A simple explanation, a respectful response, or an effort to offer alternatives would have completely changed both interactions. What stood out most was the complete absence of empathy, hospitality, problem-solving, or customer care. Being told "no" is one thing. Being treated as though your reasonable request is an inconvenience is another. I am genuinely surprised that after so many reviews mentioning service concerns, management has not been more successful in addressing the underlying customer-service issues. Looking through the reviews, it is clear that I am not the only customer who has left feeling disappointed. I appreciate the manager taking the time to listen and assist me, and she deserves credit for handling the situation professionally. Unfortunately, the fact that management intervention was required at all is precisely why I am leaving this review. You should not have to seek out a manager over something as simple as a cup of ice or a glass of water. Humanity can do better than this. Airport hospitality can do better than this. And travelers deserve better than this.

Disappointed that the first impression was they aren't collectively trying to keep an appearance of excellence and attention .
