I had a small project of installing some ceiling fans and light fixtures. I called a few places, they came out and started calculating like this was a final grade math test. Seriously! Adding everything to their software, deleting, adding again, deleting again, and so on.. after about 20 minutes of trying to solve the equation, the total resulted in about triple the cost of all the fixtures I bought all together! Kyle from Rutledge electrical had a different way for pricing, he charges based on an hourly rate. After receiving those high quotes, I quickly calculated the approximate time it should take to install everything and multiplied by his hourly rate. I realized that it should end up about half the price I was quoted by others. It was even better!! Kyle arrived on time and got to work right away. He didn't waste any time, took no breaks, worked professionally and fast. When I saw how great it was going, I even added more work that I thought of doing on my own. Along with the extra work, and assembling, the bill ended up less than half of what the others quoted me. Everything is working great, I saved money, and supported a small business! Couldn't be happier :)

We…read morehave a portable gas generator, but having to run power cables from outside through the windows and throughout the house to get power all the way over to appliances has always been a pain. We decided it was finally time to look at getting a generator inlet hooked up to our electric panel. We also wanted to be able to run some circuits directly off a battery backup system for short term outages. A neighbor recommended New Dawn Electric so we gave them a call. As our goal was a bit more complicated than a standard setup, they scheduled someone to come out and review everything with us first and provide a quote. We discussed what we were looking to do, what equipment we had to do it, where we wanted things located, went over a couple different options, and came up with a plan. We were quoted a reasonable price, and we got the work scheduled very quickly. Everything was just completed today, and we couldn't be happier. We had an outside gas generator inlet and an inside battery backup inlet installed, the necessary interlock, a safety transfer switch, custom cables, and all the connection work done perfectly and it is setup exactly how we wanted. Actually, even better than we originally were planning because Tim came up with an improved and safer way to switch between the two inlets. The entire panel, outside of the 240v circuits, which our generator doesn't support, can be powered with either backup system. We tested it out and I was able to run every standard circuit off the battery system if necessary. Across the board, the entire experience was great and Tim did an outstanding job. I'm almost looking forward to the next power outage so I can use it. I would definitely recommend New Dawn Electric to anyone looking for electrical work to be done. Friendly people, quick service, skilled professionals, outstanding work and very reasonable prices.

Techs have been very courteous, and respectful of our property while doing good work and they show up when promised! They mounted an outside receptacle to plug in our emergency power generator and installed a circuit transfer switch in our electric panel to prevent our generator power from feeding back into the power company lines. We recently had them quote a whole house standby generator and they were honest with their recommendations, and the price was comparable to what had been quoted by a local big box store. However, because we don't have natural gas service in our area, we needed to go with a large propane gas storge tank, which our HOA restrictions required to be underground, making the whole project considerably more expensive than we could justify. We like the fact that their techs and salespeople do not work on commission, nor do they try to upsell like so many area "Do it all" service companies that offer, electrical, air-conditioning & plumbing services. Sergeants does only one thing and they do it very well.

He was quick getting to our house and quick with finding the problem to both of our AC units. Turns out the AC people had the wiring all wrong and after two AC guys came out and couldn't figure out what was wrong- we are soooo appreciative Zach came to the rescue. He was fast and efficient, found the problem and took care of it. We finally have AC in our new home thanks to Zachary! We are so grateful. Thank you Zach so much! Would highly recommend him.

Do not hire BOLT Electric. They did a very sloppy job,…read moreovercharged us, and treated us poorly. We (my mom in her 80s, my special needs brother, and myself) hired BOLT in March of 2025. We suffered damage to our home due to Hurricane Helene. The electric was not damaged, but our home's electric was from the 60s, and BOLT said we needed a whole-home rewire. We were desperate to get construction started and get permits approved. Our first mistake was not getting a second option or estimate. Later, we discovered that they overcharged us by 20 to 30 thousand dollars according to industry-standard pricing. They allowed a new electrician at their company to handle our project with no oversight; he was not an Ace at his job. BOLT removed electric outlets in several places in the home and did not replace them. BOLT left an outlet in the bathroom with the old wiring in the wall and just put a plate over it to "make it go away". All light switches and outlets in our home are at random heights. Here is the worst example. There were no outlets or switches on this wall (next to the sink) before they started. The project manager pointed out at our initial meeting that the conduit running along the wall in front of our home was unseemly, and he does not do things like that. After they completed their work, we have conduit running to our porch lights because BOLT took out the old electric lines and did not replace them, and this was their fix. BOLT stepped on an air conditioning line in the attic, told no one, blamed it on condensation. We had to have our garage ceiling fixed. BOLT crushed the ductwork in the attic, and we had to have it all replaced. The electrician we hired to clean up Bolt's mess told us the outlets they used were not appropriate and we had to have several replaced as well as drywall and painting done. BOLT installed the hood vent wiring off-center. BOLT broke one of our new kitchen cabinets installing the stove. BOLT refused to install the dishwasher; "it was the contractor's problem". BOLT also treated my contractor horribly. My belief is that they had an issue with their ethnicity. Any issue we had with the finishes in the home was treated as our fault or we should have known to communicate the problems they created to the contractor. BOLT refused to speak to the contractor about construction requirements in the kitchen; my 80-year-old mother was used as a go-between them though all three of them were in the house at the same time. We moved back into our home in December 2025, though it was still under construction. We could not afford renting anymore. We told BOLT we were moving home. BOLT chose not to turn on the breaker for the hot water heater. We were concerned about touching the panel as it was horribly mislabeled, and the house was still a construction zone. It took BOLT several attempts to label the electric panel correctly. They priced gouged us, costing us $ 15,574.99 plus to fix their mistakes. We thought speaking to the owner, Patrick, would finally get them to do the right thing but after several requests for a meeting, we were finally told by BOLT's office staff that he has nothing to do with the running of the company. He just poses in sunglasses with his chin up holding his jacket for the website. This leaves his staff to do whatever awful things they want to do to the public. They waited for the electric inspection to pass (it took 2 attempts) and then we were ghosted. I believe they saw a widow and her family suffering a devastating loss from a natural disaster as a way to do a cheap job for money. My mom has been hospitalized several times due to the stress this whole situation has caused our family. Do not hire this BOLT; they will not be honest; they will blame you whenever they can. We did try mediation, but the person "in charge" does not like confrontation, as explained by the office staff; that is why he ran out of the meeting after less than 5 minutes.

Michael's English is outstanding! They were GREAT. In 47 years I have been in charge of all renovation and repair of our three houses and two condos. I have learned how ( by asking a lot of questions to potential contractors, suppliers and city building code inspectors) then supervised the removal of mold/ mold abatement and complete renovation in basement rooms, done bank stabilization along a creek, redone 3 roofs, redone 2 heating and cooling systems, eliminated deeply imbedded termites, created French drains 3x8 ft deep along a home's entire front resting on a steep slope to eliminate water and mold in the basement. LOVED it! Went to the suppliers to learn which were the quality lasting materials to use. It is fun, not hard. Michael and Vadim started with our air conditioning/ heating system which had dust and mold build up from the last 10 years of our 40 year old condo. The price of $480 was excellent and they were neat, careful, quick. They also rehung reinforced a 12 ft deep closet bar/shelf, and while putting in a new bathroom faucet discovered our cold water intake lines and the hot water valve ( 40 years) were shot. Vadim ran twice to nearby Lowe's to get materials. The closet bathroom work was an excellent separate price.
