This is very much a neighborhood pub, and if you are not a regular, nobody knows your name or probably cares to. This place opened in 2006 in a down town area that was more than a little rough, but it took off, building a faithful following. COVID hit the spot hard, and the original owner closed the place in 2021. It reopened in 3022 under new management and seemed headed in the right direction. But recently things have turned very messy, with unpaid wages and vendor invoices, The State has several investigations going on at present, and survival seems a long shot. I have eaten here a handful of times and found the food and service to be rather good. The Fish and Chips (comes in small or large), the Celtic Chili, the Corned Beef and Cabbage, the Reuben, and the Bangers and Mash were are worth a shot. I don't sense these spot will be open much longer. A shame really.

Service was really slow, even though our server was really nice. No real atmosphere even though it got busier as the evening went by. Big blow when we were told they didn't have bangers to go with the mash. Disappointing. We went with the fish and chips and got a side of the garlic mashed potatoes. Also tried the scotch eggs. The eggs were actually really good and nice and hot. Served with a Dijon mustard they were probably the best part of the evening. Nice crunchy coating of breadcrumbs and sausage. Good app. The fish and chips were ok. Lots more batter than actual fish inside. Very greasy. Chips were not the steak fries thick cut like they use to do awhile back. We asked for curry sauce several times before we actually got it. As this is a must anytime you have fish and chips. They should just serve it with it. The mashed potatoes were awesome. Very rich and buttery. We ordered another side as it was the best thing on our table. We also had a round of vodka sodas. Standard good bar drink. I really hoped this would be the great pub experience for my friend but it wasn't what I expected. Hopefully next time round will be better. Hope the get some bangers in soon !!

Vegetarians seem to be forgotten by many otherwise-great chefs, and to actually be acknowledged is wonderful. Let me offer the following, with respect and only constructive intent: Statistics indicate that the vast majority of current vegetarians are former meat-eaters, myself included. And here's the thing -- when we get a craving for a burger, what we're mostly craving is the flavor and texture of a "real" hamburger. Your veggie burger was good, and again, the effort was most appreciated. But it was just a good sandwich. It didn't satisfy my hamburger craving. Usually an Impossible Burger or a Beyond Burger works just fine, and would probably save you a lot of trouble. - The mac n cheese side was delish, 5 stars. - Give this place a try. I got the BBQ pork nachos, which were so yummy!! The portion was very giving, and my husband and I definitely could've shared, but I was happy to have it all to myself. My husband got the Panini Club. It was on the smaller side especially compared to mine, but it was still very tasty. We can't wait to come back here! A chill restaurant with great food.

It was standing room only this evening, and we had to park it near the door near the food truck. Being near the door in February, my daughter was getting cold. She said something to my daughter about her being cold, which my daughter was honest about, but was ignored as she continued to video. As any father would do, I stepped in and asked to close the door as my family is cold, and went back to where I was standing. She proceeded to get in my face and say, "I'm the OWNER here and I'm getting a video" and went back to what she was doing. No I'm sorry, no recognition of her patron's needs. Just complete dismissal and rudeness. Needless to say, we didn't spend another nickel there, and never will. We left and will never be back as long as someone with that view of their patrons is still in charge. Zero stars for service and ownership regardless of how good their product may be. No thanks, Karen.
