A hidden gem. Good food, great service. Our server, Marah, gave us some of the best service we have experienced in awhile. One thing they need to do is update their website (thedockrestaurants.com/burlington-boathouse-menu) with their full menu. We looked at it online and discovered the one they hand you when you arrive has more options, including a variety of pizzas! It is definitely worth the drive.

Seafood platter is huge. I think it beats Red Lobster's hands down. $15 Are you kiddin'?

We've been here twice. The first time I was pretty blown away. I gave it a rare 5 stars. We both ordered the seafood platter and they were huge. We had enough left over for another meal. The second time we visited we ordered the same thing. This time the portion was less than half the size. My wife didn't even care for it the second time around so she ordered a small pizza. Not sure if I'll make the trip over there again.

The restaurant is huge. There is a full bar with seating. There are a couple of televisions above the bar to watch. There is also a decent-sized dining are in the bar area and a larger, separate dining area just off of the dining area. The staff there were friendly. This pub has a country, downhome feel. They serve pub style food, including steaks, burgers, salads, soups, fish, tenderloins, wings, pasta, fish and chips and meatloaf. Additionally, they have a full-service bar with signature cocktails. Be on the lookout for their daily specials. I got me a Popper Burger with a side of fries. It took about 15 minutes for me to get my food, and it was very delicious. It was fresh, hot and flavorful. I highly recommend checking out this hidden gem. They have some savory drinks and delicious food.

We first heard of this place because they were recently named one of the USA Today Restaurants of…read morethe Year for 2025. My family was making a trip from Indianapolis to Michigan so we added this restaurant as a stop on the way back since it's conveniently located just a few minutes off of l-65. It looked small at first but there's actually two dining rooms in addition to the really long bar area. My mom of course got the obligatory breaded tenderloin since we are in Indiana. The size was perfect (the size of two sandwiches and not the size of a whole dinner plate) and thought it was delicious. My brother enjoyed and promptly wolfed down his loaded Mac and cheese. I opted for the loaded fries since they were smothered in pulled pork, beer cheese, and fresh jalapeños. The accompanying cole slaw was delicious, but very sweet. The pulled pork was super tender and delicious. It was good, but honestly the best bite I had was the tomato I stole off my mom's tenderloin. It was the freshest tomato I've had in probably years. All of the food is grown on the owner's family farm in the nearby town of Reynolds which I'm assuming is a big part of their recent recognition. It was fairly busy on a Friday around noon. There were a few groups of people in on their lunch break and a few families. They also had several online orders as well. The servers were friendly and quick.

If you love a little hole in the wall that serves great comfort food, then try The Vintage Cafe. We…read morelearned about the cafe on Yelp. When we drove up we were uncertain as it was a little gray building among other storage buildings. But there were about 50 cars surrounding the building. Good sign. Let me be clear, this is not upscale or trendy, but salt of the earth. There was a short line for tables. The place was hopping. The walls were covered with images of Hollywood stars. Many handwritten signs and boards described deserts, specials and featured items. We found seats within 15 minutes. The menu is filled with breakfast and lunch items that are served all day. There are quirky fun items such as sauerkraut balls (which are hand made), pickle fries and stuffed tater tots. The Memorial Day special lunch included a hot dog, hamburger slider, watermelon and a side for $8.99. The slider and watermelon called out to me. When the plate came, I wasn't expecting so much food. The slider was amazing. There were 2 smash burger patties on a nice bun with cheese, sauce and pickle. The slider was good. The slice of watermelon was massive, refreshing and fun. The homemade coleslaw is creamy and delicious. My husband ordered the Breaded Tenderloin. OMG, that tenderloin was about twelve inches in diameter and came with a large roll that dwarfed the pork. The pork was thick with a great peppery breading. He only ate half and took the rest home. We shared an order of the stuffed tater tots that were filled with potato, jalapeño, onion and cheese. Oh man, those are addictive. As we were finishing up, the owner of the restaurant approached our table. Kate Rhine has been owner/cook of The Vintage Cafe for four years. She's been a home cook since she was in fourth grade. She was cheerful and wanted to know how I liked the Memorial Day Special since I was the first to order. I loved the meal. the burger was great and watermelon and coleslaw refreshing. The hot dog was going home with us. Our server, Felicia, was great. She helped describe the menu, was attentive, super friendly and kept water glasses full. Even the fella bussing the tables was amazing and friendly. It was clear these folks were hustling to keep up with the crowd. This cafe is fun and delicious. I can't wait to go back. Thanks, YELP reviewers for leading the way.
