Our anniversary is February 14th and years ago, almost from inception, we have been going to Marble on our anniversary. It has never disappointed. Everything we have ordered has been top notch. We got hooked on the creme Brulé a couple of years ago and now it is a must do every time we go there. It's located in the old, refurbished RR depot and has that quaint atmosphere and ambiance we really enjoy. That time is almost here again and am trying to get reservations, which BTW, has to be done by phone even though they have been promising online reservations "coming soon" almost from day one in 2017. Excellent service, knowledgeable staff. The ambience was nice, and the drinks were constantly refilled. I ordered steak and asparagus ($40+). The asparagus was too chunky and woody... it tasted like it was old. The crab (steak Oscar) was canned, but it was remarkably high quality for canned crab, and didn't detract from the dish. My girlfriend enjoyed her meal as well. We also ordered the "chocolate tower" which turned out to be an extremely large slice of chocolate cake. It didn't "tower" but rather was lying on the plate as one regularly would serve cake, so the name was confusing. The cake was okay, though tasted a little dry, like it had been hanging around in the fridge for too long. It was an overall good dining experience and we'll try it again sometime, but probably trying a different dessert. read more

Popped into Marble The Steakhouse after a long day in the field and decided to grab a light dinner. I ordered the deviled eggs from the gluten-free list, and they were absolutely delicious--highly recommended! Between the great appetizer, a menu clearly marked with gluten-free options, and the stellar service, I'm sure the rest of their food is fantastic. Marbel the Steakhouse was not exactly what we expected. I ordered the pasta and added chicken. The flavor was great but very gnocchi heavy, not much chicken. I also ordered the wedge salad which was unique and pretty tasty. My boyfriend ordered the Chop thinking it was a steak but it was really a pork chop. Still good but a whopping $42. Our waiter was nice and he allowed us to bring our own cake and light candles for my birthday. However, I would not come here if you're looking for a nice ambiance. It seemed like the other dining room was closed off for a private event so that area could have been nicer. Overall decent place but slightly pricey for what it is. read more

So... after having lamb for the 2nd time... this was absolutely phenomenal. Really need to try this place again because I'm not confident enough to say everything is great! I've heard mixed reviews, but I honestly would be surprised to have anyyyything bad here. The drink itself tasted very good, and the watermelon flavor was identical to actual watermelon and not the fake sour flavor. Very homey restaurant located centrally to an old train station The Dijon and herb crust was really good, and I'm honestly not even a big fan of mustard. I think I'll consider ordering lamb more often if I see it, but next time I will certainly get the braised short rib or delmonico. Ask for Claire if you're in here ever! read more

What a lovely hidden gem in Kokomo. The food was excellent, drinks delicious and service wonderful. I really enjoyed the crab mac & cheese and a delightful wedge salad. My dining partners had the porterhouse (terrific flavor), the scallops (sauce was divine, scallops just okay) and the portobello (so many great flavors but a little small for the price). We also enjoyed the drink specials ($6 mules and old-fashioned). I would definitely go back the next time I'm in Kokomo and craving a great dinner. read more

Easily the BEST steak I have had in many...many years. Took by wife there for anniversary (#39). The steak was so juicy and tender (seasoned to perfection) I didn't need a knife to cut it. But used it anyway to add to the ambiance and pleasure of the moment. Will go there again, for sure. Chocolate cake for desert is a must if you love chocolate. HUGE piece and soooo good. Drinks reasonably priced and well made (heavy pour). Service was amazing. So refreshing to make that find. read more

I wouldn't describe this as fine dining. The quality of food is very good. The selection of wines is also very acceptable. I have dined here twice, and there has been a change in the staff, and most importantly- the attitudes of the staff. A good restaurant should never rush their diners. The last time we ate here, we were speedily seated and hurried through our meal. The chef was clearly wanting to get home, and was harassing the staff to get us out. We weren't offered dessert, and they just snatched the serviettes away. No coffee or liquors were offered either. It's sad really, as this restaurant had shown promise previously. The fact they close at 10pm on the weekend. They'll clearly attract a crowd, but probably not the type who will keep the place in business - making money. I suggest dimming the lights, softening the table settings and letting your diners absorb the ambiance, and give them time to enjoy the food and drink. A fine restaurant doesn't behave like an Applebees. read more

Im not sure if we caught them on an off day or what but upon the rather great reviews, we decided to give this place a try. I must say, it was incredibly underwhelming. Especially given the price tag. We each ordered a cocktail and an entree. I ordered the Hanger (medium rare) with truffle fries My fiancé ordered the Petite beef and reef with crab mac n cheese The hanger only had about one bite out of it that was actually medium rare, the rest was all well done and tough. The fries lacked terribly of truffle that i was using the hollandaise sauce my fiancé was given with his meal to dip my fries in and give them some life. The filet with the Beef and Reef could have used some salt while cooking to give it some flavor and a nice crust on top but the meat was tender and a quality cut. The lobster tail was a bit over cooked making it a little on the chewy side, and the crab mac n cheese was very bland. My fiancé enjoyed his old fashioned but didnt find it impressive My lavender blossom cocktail was heavy on the lavender syrup making it quite thick and hard to drink. I'd be open to giving them another chance but It was quite a disappointment paying a pretty penny just to be disappointed. read more

Great steakhouse in a fun little pocket of Kokomo. We sat at the bar and had a great time. The ribeye was fantastic! They have a great wine, alcohol, and beer selection. We reserved a table for 8 last week for a business dinner this evening. They even called back to confirm the date and time. Upon arrival we were told "sorry, whomever took your reservation wrote it down incorrect for Thursday instead of Tuesday." When I asked if their was any way to accommodate us, even by possibly splitting up the group I was told no, and that they couldn't get us in for at least an hour and an half. Meanwhile several tables were sitting vacant. The host then offer to find the person she though made the error. When I asked if that would help resolve the issue I was told "no, I just didn't know if you wanted to speak to her". I'm not sure what purpose that would serve, so we just left. I was trying to be courteous and I understand errors are made, but their was absolutely no effort on the staff's part to help and the customer service was terrible. It's really too bad because the client was looking forward to dinner but I doubt we'll be back. read more

First time trying Marble the Steakhouse. Just an okay experience overall. Visited on a Saturday evening (we made a reservation for 6p). No host/hostess to greet and seat us; a waitress eventually stopped to help us. Ordered drinks just fine, with a wide array of cocktails and beverages. The 'Old Fashioned' was well made! An appetizer we ordered (Onion Loaf) was unavailable, but we had waited over ten minutes before the waitress came back to tell us. She suggested the truffle fries, but our group declined that idea as a few of us can't handle truffle oil. When the entrees arrived, 3 of 5 dishes were good. Mine and my brother's steaks (Delmonico and Boneless Ribeye) were prefect. The Brussel Sprouts sides were excellent. My wife's Filet was very good, but the 6oz seemed more like a 3-4oz. Pretty sure she was shorted. She said it was tasty. My niece's ribeye was undercooked, from what she requested, but she was okay trying it (medium rare like I enjoy mine) and liking it. My sister-in-law's Hanger Steak was not good. Smothered in a house sauce, which was not described on the menu to be added to the steak, the meat was overdone, making it chewy. The waitress was accommodating to have the steak returned and a new one presented. The second Hanger Steak was even more covered with the sauce, which we had asked not be added. After a few of us tried a bite of her steak, we agreed that it was not very good and that all other of our dishes were better. Besides the major Hanger Steak issue, the evening at MtS was just okay. For the pricing, we were disappointed in service and some of the food. Kokomo is a small-ish town. Not sure if we'll try them again, but there's not many other options for a nice steakhouse. read more

Don't be intimidated because it looks sorta fancy. You can eat here! And your kids can too. The staff is pleasant and there to please. The drinks are by far the best mixed drinks I've ever had and the portions are reasonable for the price. You can be completely full by getting an appetizer and a wedge salad, but don't short yourself on the steak and mashed potatoes. They're the best! read more

The beer selection is very, very good - extensive without overwhelming you. Tried Marble for brunch today and I've got to tell you I wouldn't change a thing. The combination of the attentiveness staff and the quality of the food made this place one of my new favorites to take friends and family. We had the crab cake and sausage and biscuit. Delicious. When our plates arrived, I thought..oh, wait where's the salt and pepper. But then I took one bite into the egg topped biscuit dressed in perfectly seasoned gravy and I was hooked. Had heard nothing but good things about Marble The Steakhouse so we decided to visit for our Valentines Day date. A couple of personal observations; first; the staff was dressed in street clothes with nothing significantly obvious that denoted them from any other customer in the restaurant. Second, it is obvious that steps have been taken to convey a high end experience. Amazing interior and furnishings, very nice cutlery and dishes and yet, water is served in Bud and Bud light glasses that look like leftovers from another restaurant. They look out of place and slightly take away from the upscale feeling. We started with the Parmesan fries and then each had boneless rib-eye. The fries were very good and the rib-eyes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Every weekend we go to dinner and every weekend for years and years I have ordered a Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary I had here was all but flavorless and was the very first one I have ever had that did not come with some type of garnish of olives, pickles or more. I got two lemon slices. Really? Two lemon slices? This needs fixed. Though the quality of all the food was very very good, for the portions you get the menu could use a small downward adjustment. And although the service was 5 star worthy, after adding it all up, the total overall experience fell a little short of expectations. read more
