What a cute little small town diner! Just off of I 65 makes it a quick easy stop for travels and it's very popular with the local community as well. A girlfriend and I went for breakfast and stayed almost thru lunch service. All the while, service continued and they kept telling us no rush! Stay as long as you like! Came for dinner on the only night it's offered: Friday. Couldn't resist ordering the Prime Rib. It came with two sides and was priced well below Mountain Jack's and well well below Boiler House Prime. And it was far better quality than both. My date had the turkey club on a Kaiser bun, which was basically just a turkey sandwich with bacon. He said the fries were fabulous. Cute place. Reasonably priced. We'll be back! read more

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon the wait to be seated wasn't long, but the wait to order was 45 mins. Something that stuck out to me was 3 of the workers I asked didnt even eat and the wait staff lacked in knowing about the items. I got the battered chicken tenders and onion rings with green beans. My food was a little grease for my liking and my Greenpeace were a little too peppery for me. My husband got the breakfast burger and sweet potatoe fries with the battered Brussel sprouts. it was 3 out of 5 the sweet potato fries and the Brussel sprouts were the best thing we had. We got cinnamon rolls to go and tryed them in the car they were right out the oven I'd say a 3 out of 5 and the beginets were not beginets they were biscuit like tossed in cinnamon every thing was very greasy read more

The resturant itself is vey quaint. Very clean . The atmosphere was very homey. Staff very helpful. We were seated right away . Beverage order taken. The menu offers a variety of interesting items. Our order was taken and while we waited was given beignets. The beignets were more like fried biscuits but they were very nice, warm on inside crispy and sugary on the outside. Orders were 1/2 order sausage gravy with American fries. Scrambled eggs with American fries. Eggs over easy , hash browns bacon ordered extra crispy. The sausage gravy was good but not sure what it was served over I thought it would be a biscuit but seemed more like a piece of hamburger bun. Gravy was good. Bun not so much. Was very disappointed in finding out my American fries were more like crispy potato chips. They were tasty but not what I had anticipated for breakfast. Scrambled eggs were good but again disappointed in what they call American fries. The over easy eggs were excellent as was the hash browns, the bacon however was not crispy at all very floppy . Our service was excellent. Will probably try them again as I saw several other things on menu I would like to try. Probably not for breakfast, many other great places for breakfast I was disappointed as were my guests. It was just ok. Hopefully other items on menu will prove better next time. read more

Great lunch stop!!! The diner is VERY clean, no greasy smell like a lot of diners. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I had the prime rib sandwich with a side of fried mushroom slices and only $10.00. It was a daily special . Great choice! Our waitress, Michelle was spot on with service. We arrived just after two large parties and she warned us that our order would take a bit longer but she even brought us some complimentary beignets. I don't even remember how I discovered it, but we were looking for a breakfast place on the way from Indy to Lafayette and this turned out to be the perfect place. As a Ball State alum, I am down with all the red bird decor. The breakfast menu is simple but mighty. I loved that they had a choice between sausage gravy and pepper gravy. I'm not a big meat eater so I usually pick the sausage out of the gravy, so pepper gravy is perfect for me. It also was a perfect serving size too. I finished my whole plate without being overstuffed. Plus, they bring you a biscuit beignet as you wait for your meal. If you are ever in this area, you must stop by here. The murals on the sides of the cafe are really beautiful to start out with. Then when you walk in you are welcome like family. Once seated I was greeted again and had my drink order taken. The coffee here is really good. Anyway, I was toying with the thought of getting the small order of beignets, but wasn't sure. So the serves told me I can get one courtesy beignet. That's all I was looking for, just a small sweet thing. It was delicious, but more a biscuit than a beignet. Regardless, it is doughy goodness rolled in cinnamon sugar and that hits the spot. For my main meal I chose the Hunka, which is an English muffin topped with all 3 breakfast meats (ham, bacon, sausage), eggs done your way and cheese. This is served with tater tots. Wow... not only was this a heavenly combination, but the English muffin had just a tiny little crisp edge surrounding it and was buttery soft on the inside. Perfection... yeah, I'm a consistency gal. Which brings me to the tater tots, which were also crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I appreciate that sooo much. Wish I could have eaten more, but while it doesn't look like much, it sure is filling. And let's not forget that I was asked multiple times how I liked it and if I needed anything. We had brunch at 9a and it was wonderful! Our waitress was helpful and attentive. My meal was 2 eggs, hash brown and an English muffin with a bottomless cup of coffee all for under $11 dollars (not including the tip) We were also offered complimentary beignets. Stopped here on our road trip, and we are so glad that we did. The food was amazing, the staff were incredible, and the decor was cute and so thoughtful. It was great for our kid - they had coloring and a cute divided plate for kids' meals. We had loaded hash browns, and a farmers breakfast with a side of biscuits and sausage gravy. I met the owner/chef quite a few years ago when she was first opening this precious place...although she probably wouldn't remember me ... but listening to her talk about her dream back then I knew it would be a HIT. What a great find! Stopped by here for lunch on my way up to Chicago a few months ago, and it did not disappoint. Seems to be a popular local spot and a great option if you want something different than the standard fast food joint you find off every highway exit. The restaurant is clean and has the kind of personal touches you would expect from a mom-and-pop café. Staff and servers were fun, friendly, and informal in all the best ways. In particular, my date and I enjoyed a salad and a wrap for lunch. Our food was out plenty fast and everything was fresh and tasty. I stoped in here on my way back to Ohio for a late lunch. I was greeted and seated quietly by a very friendly lady. I quickly gave a drink and food order because I tried and hungry. My ice tea came quickly and then out of know where came an amazing treat. I think she called it a beignet. ( after leaving I was mad at myself for not getting some to go to share at home.) my order of a Buffalo chicken wrap was delivered shortly after. When arrived around lunch time and the place was packed (indeed, a good sign). The staff was accommodating and since there were no available seats, they seated us their Nest Room. Saw this place while in town to visit Shannon Hoon's grave. Very nice place! I had their tenderloin which was delicious. It was beer battered and thick with lettuce and tomato that tasted like it came right out of the garden. Also got fried mushroom slices which were also fried in like a beer batter. Stopped through on our way down to Tennessee. This place is delightful! Met Trish - so nice! She gave my girls some little squishy toys to take with. Food was tasty. I got the brisket sandwich and my husband had a burger. Girls had the French toast and grilled cheese. Cottage cheese is a side which I haven't seen anywhere since my childhood. This place is the epitome of what great customer service should be. The owner, Trish Brown, works there, too. She has such good energy that you will leave there in a positive mood. We all enjoyed our food. They have lots of options, even gluten-free toast, which is a win for me. If you like hot sauce, they have Frank's, which is my favorite, and nobody else has. My wife and I went there for lunch on Valentines Day and they were very busy. Our waitress explained that the kitchen was backed up and she would put our order in as orders were processed. She came by several times to give us an update on our food. I ordered the meatloaf and my wife had chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes. Both were very good. I also had the broccoli and cheese soup and it was tasty. My wife had the green beans and she said they were the best she's had. We thought about getting dessert but we were both filled up.
