Bad customer service here. I tried to exchange a piece of luggage which clearly is a Burlington tag. My daughter didn't save receipt and she scratched off the price on tag ( attached). Clearly it is unused. I asked for store credit and showed same brand, size and is same price. Manager said "I am not going to return this" Stupid stupid. I shop(ed) at Burlington for years. NO MORE! your manager stupidity has cost you that and everyone I know business. Hope it was worth nothing. read more

Great items, nice purses and shoes but of course lines were long. The baby selection was quite impressive, that will keep me coming back from more but definitely will try early hours. We felt targeted! Me and my mother would shop at this location for years and we've never had a problem with their customer service until yesterday. When my mother paid for her items and was about to exit, the alarm sounded when we passed by the alarm checkpoint, we gone back to the cashier to see if by any chance if there was anything she missed to charge or if there was a sensor that was on some of the items. She bought 3 items, a car accessory, a small jewelry storage, and some hand towels. This male employee who was there greeting customers, felt compelled to tell the cashier to check the jewelry box if there was jewelry inside, the box sealed with plastic around, and to review all items. The cashier checked and she didn't miss anything to charge and none of the items had any sort of a sensors attached. He wouldn't stop bugging the cashier about the items, mainly the box. Being rude and unprofessional the entire time and almost accusatory, like he was trying to prove something? she showed the guy that the box is sealed and all the items don't have any kind of alarm sensor tags and only that made him stop. We were cleared to go by the cashier but this whole situation made me and my mom feel targeted as if we were criminals and it feels like we were targeted based off our ethnicity. The experience is awful, not even the stores nearby the Burlington do this to their customers and making customers feel uncomfortable like how we felt yesterday. I hope review will change how staff treats customers in the future. read more

3 stars: Women's, Men's & adult footwear: Marginally better than going to Ross or Marshalls because its a little cleaner & more organized. The prices are okay for what you get. Lots of merchandise but the bulk always seems to be brands that I've never heard of...knock offs of major retailers. 5 stars: They have a great selection on coats and kid 's apparel however. And I'm loving their maternity wear that's a fraction of the stores in the mall. (Not a lot of choices but enough to find basics.) Dude, I'm wearing it for a few months tops...I don't want to spend $80 on a pair of jeans that I can only wear on casual Fridays & the weekends! Their return policy is unfortunately next to nothing, which is a huge negative motivator to go else where. Its a major downside if you don't live close enough to return it in the same week you bought it. It comes down to: don't buy it if you are on the fence, inspect the heck out of it & make sure its not damaged!! read more

This store is always lacking enough cashiers and or people to work the fitting rooms. They once made an announcement that the fitting rooms would be closing because they did not have enough people that wanted to work, then an employee stated that they have staff to work but management doesn't want to give them more hours to work. Meanwhile the purchase line has at least 20+ in line and only 3 very slow cashiers working them. Except 1 cashier is having a conversation with the manager and another worker, so only 2 registers actually working! Very frustrating, new management needed!! read more

Decent selection on baby stuff... however, their diaper changing station in the women's restroom is deplorable. There is no privacy to change your infant in the restroom. To make matters worse, the infant changing table is poorly positioned in front of the women's bathroom entrance. The space is cramped and you have no room to comfortably do what you need to do especially during heavy bathroom traffic. You're literally in everyone's way. Why not just place the infant changing table inside of the bathroom stall? It's bad enough this location doesn't have family restrooms and/or nursing rooms. I came here as an "sidekick" in the sense that I was with someone who wanted to go there (major role) and I was just taggin' along (minor role). I had no intentions on buying anything. Simply to eye the place and watch for things so I could put it all in my Yelp review. I walked in and saw many,many clothing fixtures. Immediately, I thought ROSS. But I was wrong. On this day, the store was clean and very spacious. There is a nice amount of space between fixtures, allowing a customer to search without being bombarded by the next fixture of random clothing pressing against them. Also, he clothes are separated in categories. I noticed sign such a "short sleeve shirts" and "denim shorts" which,to me, displays good organization. I went to the restroom which, to my surprise was clean. Right near the rest room were hats, bags and jewelry. Color me sucker. I bought a floppy hat. :-) They also have a fragrance section and they sold Princess by Vera Wang. That made me smile however, I don't usually shop here or places comparable so i couldn't compare and contrast prices. All in all, its a cool place. I would think that if you have any reason to get anything here, they'd have it. I'll be back if need be! read more

I enjoy shopping at Burlington because they have great selections on clothing, shoes and accessories, and most importantly great prices. I love checking out their coat section because you can score a great deal, like a Michael Kors rain coat for $80 plus tax. Not bad :) I can't recall if I've ever been disappointed... so I guess that's a no. Haha. For the most part this store is kept organized and the employees are helpful. My bf loves shopping here because of their big and tall section. read more

If you are looking for deals and keeping on your budget - this is the place to go!!! The place can get messy but if you can look past that you will have an enjoyable shopping experience. The isles and shelves are more organized during the week and that is the best time to shop. This location is two stories - clothing and shoes on the first and furniture and baby depot on second. They have huge selections on just about anything and everything from sports wear to baby clothes. The lines to pay can definitely be long especially during the holidays - if you want to ignore the long lines and crowds visit during the week. It can get messy inside the stores where there are spilled drinks and trash scattered throughout and sometimes it can be there for awhile until someone cleans it up. Customer service is okay, some are really helpful and others can be rude especially on busy hours. They do have name brand clothes and shoes those however go by quickly, so if you see something you like grab it right away. They also have affordable seasonal decorations at half the price compared to Target and Walmart which is great considering you will only use those for a month then put it away. They also close late at 10:30 each night (even later during the holiday hours) which is a plus for those last minute Christmas shoppers. A rude cashier over there after discussing about returning, lost my receipt, I asked to meet a manager and asked for camera check. It take one hour to manager come to see me, after POLISE arrival!! before that the middle manager kept saying the person who could check the camera is not in duty but after police arrived, lost store manager found and they started check the camera! I didn't see that but they said we didn't see any receipt and you were rude with our cashier!! I don't know how the store manager heard our conversation from camera and determined I was RUDE! Anyhow all these challenges was because they ignore do return process because of lost receipt( lost in store) The question is none of them didn't know about company policy that says customers can return without receipt with An ID card? Also the cashier I had discussed hadn't name badge and professional dress, and other cashier and store manager ignored to share her name at first:"we cannot tell you her name", after I mentioned about badges and her dress they just say she left behind her dress and badges at home! when i repeat are you ignoring to share her name she replied her name is Jake , Im even not sure they're been honest about name. Or Im non sure she was a burlington employee or they just find her cross street for temporary help!! This is the cleanest and biggest Burlington I have ever been to. While in town visiting my family, my bf needed to look for a jacket as he was unprepared for the cold and rainy weather. Upon walking in, I immediately noticed how organized everything was. Especially the accessories and sporting goods sections, which are usually a mess at other locations, were neat and easy to navigate. All the clothing sections were labeled so it was easy for me to skip through sections I wasn't interested in. There were two levels; men's and women's clothing/shoes, accessories, cosmetics, sporting goods were downstairs; kids clothing/shoes, toys, baby stuff, home goods was upstairs. Some items were questionable, like this gold cheetah jacket I saw in juniors department. Like ew really? Who would wear such a hideous thing? But we did find some good deals. I got $10 Reebok workout capris, a $5 pullover sweater, a $10 foam back roller, and a Minnie Mouse and Cars lawn chair for $9 each. Although my bf didn't find his jacket, we were happy with our purchase. I wish the Burlington location near me looked like this one. I'm sure we will be back the next time we are in town. read more

This was the first ever Burlington Coat Factory that I visited some few years back. Think of it as a Marshall's and Ross put together, just with often higher prices. This store is located in a shopping center that has gone massive renovation. BJ's, Buffalo Wild Wings and a few other eateries are nearby. This location is also right across the street from Los Cerritos Mall. What I like about this store is that it is 2 stories. The 2nd story consists of household items and jackets and coats. The first floor has all the clothing. Usually it is just crumpled up everywhere looking all disheveled. Now, I know the employees try their best. Usually you get stupid uncouth shoppers who could care less about placing anything back to where it belongs. I have had nothing but good service coming here. Lines can get congested especially during the weekends and holidays. I believe they still do layaway plans. I have yet to try it. I have been here and found everything I have needed. read more

But no digging occurred during the filming of this review (okay, no film but I like the disclaimer. ) So after awhile of racks and rounders, I found nothing I couldn't get else where yet made in much better material. I did find a purse. This whole store and all I scored was a purse. This is another of the places I've taken friends advice and not Yelped it first. There were only two check outs open which were moving like snails then 5 opened which was myeisha and she got at least 3 people out in the time the others barely got one.. now im at the front of the line and look back and the line had tripled,then by the time i finally get called by myeisha the other two bozos ringing were hanging up clothes trying to avoid working and there was more people stocking socks all while theres a HUGE line.. will never be back to this circus read more

I always have a hard time finding dress pants for work since my size is so small. Some yelpers suggested this place (I've never been to one let alone know what this place was - kind of like Ross) & luckily, I was able to find 3 dress pants which fit me well! Prices are cheap & very reasonable. Paid less than $90.00 for 3 pairs of dress pants, 3 business casual tops & a pair of leggings. Yay! And oh, this place isn't bad as what some reviews say. You'll find smalls next to 3XL's. - The end caps with the jeans, shirts, etc. tend to be the most organized. - There's a large Big & Tall section in the back and the sizes are huge... Like 4XL and up. Also the pant sizes are in the 48 and up. - If you're a size 42 pants and a 2XL shirt like myself, be prepared to look high and low for things that fit. For some reason I'm right in between the sizes they were marketing to. - Up stairs has the baby depot section on the left side and the home decor and other random items on right side. This place sucks sweaty donkey balls. Yes, I said it, and yes, it was that nasty in there. It's such a mess, I couldn't stand it. I only went because I saw some cute girl's dresses dirt cheap in the paper. Now they have this 90 day layaway plan going on. If I wanted to rub elbows with the layaway junkies, I would have gone to KMART. I spent freaking 40 mins. in line, only to have the machine go down after they had already slid my card. I was in another line initially for 30 mins. This woman in front of me put over $500 worth of stuff on layaway. As soon as I saw all the crap she had, I almost fainted. I hadn't been so pissed about waiting in line in oh, NEVER! Then the cashier had to PACK all of the woman's items. My GOD was she slow. I almost offered to help her lazy ass to speed up the process. That's when I was called into another line. So she rings me up slower than the other cashier, the machine breaks down, as she proceeds to tell me she has to do it again. "Are you shittin' me?", I say.. As I laid my items on the counter and did what I should have down in the first line, simply walk the fuck out. Geez people, it's not even Christmas!!! I want to start off by saying that ETHAN was very polite and friendly. That is why I gave 5 STARS. 5 STARS for ETHAN. However, I did want to point out about the racist girl who was talking to Ethan. I want to make it known that Ethan is NOT at fault here, but I did not like nor appreciate that the girl who was talking to him was being racist about one of their coworkers who went on break. She said the following, "Can I take a break?" but mocking in an accent. And then proceeded to say "Shes the only Indian girl that annoys me". Not only should she not be saying this in front of customers, but this is also racism. I'm not sure what kind of policies Burlington holds, but I hope one of them is not tolerating racism. It made me wonder if she talks bad about other customers in front of other customers. She did not make me feel comfortable while I was checking out. I wish I would have gotten her name but she did not seem to have a name tag on, she just had a lanyard with a card pouch. I went in for a quick pair of shoes and was in the store shopping 15 minutes. Went to check-out and the line was all the way through and around the corner with at least 25 people waiting. The store only had 3 checkers available, one was a lady with a huge return order and she took up 30 minutes as they don't have a customer service counter. One customer behind me yelled at them to open another register but was told they were on break and nobody was available. After 25 minutes in line and being late for work after my lunch hour, I finally turned around and left! I would have been there another 20 minutes waiting to pay for my items. It was crowded and the inventory was low. The line was about 20 people long but it moved pretty quick. I bought a shirt that had one size on the tag and another actual size on the shirt. Arrrrgggghhh. Don't you hate that? It was Sunday and no parking outside. A small wait. I was able to find an exercise ball at a $7 discount and a nice pair of work shoes at $27. So I'm happy overall. I come here frequently because of their great selections and the employees are usually very friendly. Today though, I wasn't too pleased with the cashier named Jessica, she had an attitude and pretty damn rude. Maybe she needs to take a course in customer service since that is what she does working in retail!!!
