This is my neighborhood Grocery Outlet, and I usually stop by to grab a few quick items since it's the closest store to my home. I typically do my full grocery shopping elsewhere, but whenever I come in, I always check out the healthy section (NOSH) for good finds and deals--and I never skip the wine section. Seriously, don't sleep on their wines. They have a great selection at prices way lower than places like Total Wine or BevMo. But anyway... I stopped by recently and honestly thought they were going out of business. Everything was rearranged, and some shelves were completely bare. There were signs posted throughout the aisles directing you where to find items, but it made it confusing. I usually like to be in and out, and this made that nearly impossible. It was just too much, so I ended up leaving. I'll come back once they're done rearranging the store. read more

Customer service needs some big improvement! Visited the store and after waiting in a long line another cashier showed up. He didn't say anything just made eye contact and pointed his finger for me to go to register. I said thank you and once again he didn't say anything. Perhaps it was because he had his ear pod in his ear. Is this what we're allowing now? Please remind employees that they are working in customer service. It's sad because many young adults don't seem to know how to communicate or be in social situations. I highly recommend doing more trainings for your employees. read more

Located: Norwalk Towne Square (next door to Dollar Tree) I saw in their ad that they were having a special on hair products I frequently used, so I came to check it out. All the hair products were stocked on the shelves to the right side of the store near the entrance with visible labels. The store was well-stocked and organized. The cashiers at the front were getting the lines down quickly while providing great customer service. I will definitely come back for other items. read more

Bargains and friendly cashiers! This location is not my neighborhood GO but sometimes when I am in this area, I bring my ice packed coolers and shop here. This isn't a supermarket--they are an independent grocer that sells bargain closeouts. Shopping here requires checking every expiration date. My favorite section is personal care from shampoo, lotion, liquid hand soaps, face wash, beauty related products like cotton rounds, and more. Great prices! In the frozen section, there is a good selection of plant based items that are very affordable. They also have a seasonal section. Currently they have Christmas decor. In months back, they had fall decor. They have odds and ends kind of things like a sports team blanket. This GO is a lot better than the one in my neighborhood. When I remember to bring my ice packed cooler, I will stop by this Norwalk location. read more

Been a while since I did a update so her it is. To Amanda the GM and owner... great job on maintaining a good shopping experience. Every time I have visited this establishment its always clean and well maintained. Your employees are always friendly and willing to help especially on price checks, you have maintained good customer service in the Norwalk community and the Norwalk square. As a former retailer and customer service since 87' it is refreshing to see this. Your product line constantly changes but still your shelves are well maintained and full oh except during your monthly inventory times but still look good. I have never had any issues with what I have bought, now the understanding most people do not comprehend is that this is a discount outlet of merchandise that may be out of it sales dates. It doesn't mean its not good in fact I have bought hamburger meat, chicken breasts and lunch meat and as long as your using it within a week it is great or freeze it and it will last. I also love the accessory area of the store you find nick naks and the fresh fruit and veggies are good as well but also need to be careful tomatoes go bad eventually otherwise bananas and avacadoes onions and other good things, I have even bought fresh eggs and never had any issues. please keep up the good work for the community read more

Went to get some grocery's and bought some Kale that was marked $1 off. It expires soon so I'm sure that's why it's marked down but this is the second time the discount is not applied. The first time I went the person at the register said they didn't know how to apply the discount. I also bought some sausage that was not expired but tasted off. Finding this a hard place to keep going back to when I continue to have issues but trying to give the benefit of the doubt because it's affordable read more

I want to share a disappointing experience from February 25th around 3:08 PM. I came in to buy one head of cabbage. Only one lane had its light on, so I got in that line behind two customers with large orders. The other lane had about five people but the light was off, which clearly signals the lane is closed. While I waited nearly 15 minutes, the cashier with the light off kept taking customers anyway and yelling over to our lane, "I can take the next person." When I asked why his light was off, he laughed and said he was "a backup." His attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. When I finally checked out and spoke to a manager, the cashier immediately turned his light on and smiled at her, which made it obvious he knew he should have had it on earlier. The manager didn't seem concerned, and based on her reaction, I doubt anything was addressed. The whole situation showed poor customer service, no accountability, and a lack of professionalism from both the cashier and the manager. I won't be returning after this experience. read more

Out of all the supermarkets I go to this one is my favorite! I feel like they have organic food and the prices are much better than an actual supermarket! They do have certain items that other markets don't have and those make me happy! A lot of the items they have are items Whole Foods has! Except the prices are either half price or even less! I like grocery outlet a lot. Unfortunately the affordable grocery store in our area Food 4 Less was closed down so Stater Bros and Smart & Final are the next stores in the area besides Grocery Outlet. Grocery Outlet is very affordable, they do not have everything I may need but they sure do have most of the stuff I need. I like to come in to get ground Turkey. I usually pay $10 for 2 lbs Jennie o brand at Stater Bros and found that it's only $3.29 for 1lb Jennie O at Grocery outlet which is so much better. They have limited options on everything such as organic, regular, paper goods etc plus more. It's worth checking out to see if they have what you are looking for. read more

I've put up with buying moldy bagels and dealing with their "bait and switch" pricing methods. But getting disrespected was the last straw as I received the middle finger with a condescending smile from an employee who wears too much cologne just to stock the freezer with frozen pies. Adrian the working manager was professional but this other employee came in and provided a middle finger into the situation he was not even involved in. To the owners of this establishment Amanda and Cynthia Ontiveros, I hope you give Adrian a raise as he handled the situation well and professional. As far as the other employee, you should let them know that their behavior cost your establishment business as I'll take my business to the other 3 grocery outlet stores within a 5 miles radius, as I don't feel comfortable shopping at this Norwalk location where employees disrespect customers. Especially when I didn't say one word to this employee but he felt the need to chime in with a middle finger. I guess new ownership didn't help this place at all but just made it worse. read more

This store has great wine at great prices. The icing on the cake is the customer service. Jose always takes it up on himself to greet me and converse a little every time I come in. He even restocked my favorite wine when I told him they were running out. They also always have great music playing, to make your shopping experience all the better. read more

I happened to stumble across Norwalk while seeking a Goodwill and decided to stop in to get a few things as each Grocery Outlet is different. Store was very clean but you could tell was older by whatever it was prior. Store seemed cluttered compared to the others I have been to but it was fully stocked and clean. Groceryoulet bargain market in Norwalk California store #342 is not worth shopping at. When it first opened the people there cared. Now you go and your waiting in the checkout line for 30 minutes. The cashier doesn't ask for help he's always on his phone as he checks you out. The produce is never fresh. The meat is always about to expire. read more

The only thing good about this place is the old owner that made it great, not family oriented, not willing to be there for there customers, allot of stuff is expired an not managed well to keep up with the dates, more stuff is thrown away than sold, the customer service was great when they had the best produce lead they'll be able to find. There's a difference between quality and t!hs, it you want to be a quality owner you'll be there for your employees and customers no excuses because in order to be a yt!hs person you dishonor the store an you customers! Being true to your craft really shows here. Hope they find a real owner soon because both owners especially the one who's never there unless to terminate someone has allot to learn from her wife. Went to this Grocery Outlet today with my 89 year old mother. After walking about 3 aisles my mom needed to use the restroom. I found an employee and asked if she can please use their restroom, he said they did not have public restrooms, I stated she was a Senior and he said he was not the manager but he would ask her. He then walked to the manager's office and came back saying she was on a business call that was going to take a long while. I honestly found that hard to believe on a Sunday afternoon. He then said we can go to the burger place in the same shopping center. I find this so sad and I'm so disappointed to see the lack of compassion. read more

Great prices along with good produce. Of course some produce is cheap due to overstocks. Some items are about to expire that year . So if you're going to need something the week of, its best to go try to find it here. They have some organic food, but it doesn't seem to be the focus of this store. There's always friendly staff and the store is maintained clean. I haven't had a bad experience at this location. read more

Long time resident in Norwalk and I'm so happy Grocery Outlet is here. Amazing bargains. I love the veggie meats and vegetarian options at unbeatable prices. I almost exclusively shop here for my groceries now. I will note that for the first few months, I would have rated the customer service at 5 stars. Very welcoming and amicable staff. However, the past two times that I've gone, the cashiers have been less friendly. But it might be because they're new. Other than that, I absolutely love this store. It's clean, got interesting goods and amazing deals. read more

Welcome to our city! I've been to the store twice this week because I live down the street and it's convenient. After our local grocery store shut down people were begging for a local grocery store, so I hope our local community supports this store. We have a few grocery stores within a mile, but we want even closer than that , so having this store down the street is awesome. I love that it is locally owned and that the owner seems to always be active and involved in his store. I've been there twice within a week and both times the owner has been outside gathering carts and talking to people. The store is clean, produce are fresh, and staff is friendly. read more

I will never go there again. I stopped by quickly to get carrots and zucchini. I got three small zucchinis and the man at the register charged me for 3.15 pounds. I asked him to weigh it again and he again said it was over 3 pounds. As soon as I got home I weighed them on my scale, and it was less than 1.5 pounds. Either the scale is way off, or the cashier doesn't know how to weigh the items. Besides this scale scam, a lot of the produce was rotten. Never returning to this store! Luckily the carrots bag did not need to be weighed because it was a 5 pound bag. read more

Just left grocery outlet to return expired Salami that I purchased the night before. The salami expired in January 2021 and they still had this on the shelf for sale. After my kids and I had some today and we all agreed that it tasted a little weird, I checked the package and sure enough EXPIRED. I frequently shop here and it's a shame when I tried to return it for a full refund today - I did not have the receipt unfortunately - I was told I could only get back $3.49 when I purchased it for $6.99 the night before. Grocery outlet is selling 2 month old expired salami, I wonder what else they have on their shelves that that is past expiration. What a joke and disrespect that came with trying to fix this. read more

Today I walked in as I usually would when I come to shop and right when I walked in this cashier girl told me and my sister to leave our bag at the door meanwhile we seen ladies with their bag in the market , I understand if someone has stole in the past but i'm not about to leave my bag at the door when they don't even have security to begin with and I can imagine it wouldn't make anyone feel comfortable just leaving their belongings there such as a whole purse. Wow this store has everything compared to other Grocery Outlet stores that I've been to. They have more variety and they even have a lot of Asian stuff. As I was walking down the aisle, the guy stocking the shelves started talking to me and asked if everything was OK. I said this place is great. He said he's the owner. I think his name is George if I'm not mistaken. I ended up buying more things per his recommendation lol. It's rare to see excellent customer service anymore especially from the owner! I haven't had that smaller, more personal feel of a hometown store until this store came along. The manager truly cares about his customers and the community, and loves to connect and get to know you as a part of this community. The customer service and kindness of the management at this location has me returning again and again for my grocery needs. I read another review about a disgruntled person not being able to use the phone at this store, but hey, would you get mad at the bank teller for not letting you behind the counter or in the back office to use the phone if YOU made a mistake and locked your keys in the car? I don't think so! Love this store bc of the savings but Bro they be selling stuff that are passed it's expiration date. I bought havarti cheese last week & that shi expired in December. I didn't know till I opened it bc I saw mold on it, I told my mom to go back & ask to switch it for a good one tell me why bro in the front said he don't believe me bc their stocker does his job very good & he is picky with what is on the shelf.
