This Burlington deserves a zero in my book they is no one to help you in the kids department. The managers are lazy they don't want to even go and check on items. Everything about this place was a definite no. The parking was horrible with crazy drivers and people who can not park properly. Then when you walk into the store there is a security guard pacing around the door. I came first thing when they opened. The fact that they need security that early in the morning is a red flag. How much trouble does this store have to need security on duty that early in the morning? Then, the store had hardly any product on the shelves-2 or 3 of each item in the home section. And the clothing was of poor quality and appeared very cheap. Also, this place is supposed to have decent prices. Actually, it's my go-to store for name brand discounts, and my essentials like underwear. it can get a little messy, and very crowded at times, but I usually find what I need at a price I like. I also like the tailor department. They're usually very fast with their service and do a good job. I wish they had a wider selection of shoes in my size (13), but that's okay. I'd still recommend it for anybody looking for essentials at a good deal. read more

I bought a pair of shoes at this place. I took it home and left in the bag for about 3 days. I decided that I don't like it after all. I decided to return it on the 4th day but the cashier told me that it was used and I can't return it. I told her that it was not even taken off the bag. She said that the bottom was scuffed and the leather has crease. I told her again that I did not wear it. She insisted with an atitude that I wore it out and she can't take it back. This only tells me that this store sells used and worn items. Even their own employees think so. It's a shame, I shop at this place often. There are many discount stores (TJ maxx, Ross, Marshalls etc.) that have good deals but none of them had such bad customer service & unreasonable return policy. Particularly this location! I am returning an item I opened the box but never used it. Return within a week with receipt but the rep and manager said it's not "sealed" and no tag saying it's bought from Burlington...on and on and on...I said I will bring the original tag (forgot to bring it) and make sure I can return so I'll make another trip. The manager said you can try but no guarantee! What? Beware! They will try their very best for you NOT to return an item even with the receipt. A waste of my money on a defective product & time and energy spent with lousy service! They are losing my business & all my friends'. read more

I was fitting on a pair of jeans in the fitting room and I overheard one of the other employees named Cynthia harassing another employee who was watching the fitting rooms for someone else who looked about 6 to 8 months pregnant , Cynthia was reprimanding her because the men's clothes rack was full when the pregnant associate was answering Cynthias questions with why it was full Cynthia then proceeded to continue verbally abusing her by saying and I quote "I'm in charge of the floor and I'm everywhere right now so the least you can do is put the clothes on the rack back where they go since all you do is watch the fitting room." At that point I came out from the fitting room and saw that the pregnant associate was visibly upset and I pretended I liked some of the clothes on the rack just so I can put them back I came back around after with my wife and I could still see that she was still visibly upset with what Cynthia was telling her. read more

If you are purchasing any item here as a gift, I would recommend NOT shopping here. I had received 2 items as a Christmas gift and had a copy of the receipt. The sales associate could not verify the items were purchased at Burlington Coat factory but she did not even try. The items were available for purchase online and at certain stores, but that did not matter. Her words verbatim: "I cannot return this because I may lose my job if it does not check-out correctly." If this is the motto sales associates are working by, of course the customer service is terrible. Pay must not be that great either. I asked what else can be done and the associate called the manager, described the situation and then said "I can not make the exchange/return." Seems like a last ditch effort to make sure she does not take the blame for poor customer service. At the end of the transaction, I asked for her name and this was her reply, "We do not give our names but the manager is Miguel." If you have a choice between shopping at Nordstrom Rack, Marshalls, Target, Ross, or anywhere else...I would suggest you do that. If the purchase works out, thats great...but if there is any dissatisfaction at all...BEWARE...they will try all they can not to make the return or exchange...because their job depends on it! read more

The line sometimes takes a long time and I've put my things down and left. Bought a new suit there and my experience was pretty exhausting! There was about 60 people lined up to pay for their goodies and there were 3 cashiers working and a few of them just standing around and fixing their hangers and roller baskets! Really?! Today I and a fellow friend of mine were candidates for a interview at 3pm for a potential job at this location, prior to us coming in we were emailed with confirmation to come as requested. As we entered the facility as directed to the third floor to meet with the gentleman doing the hiring, we respectfully approached the individual shaking his hand making eye contact, seperate times he looks at my resume and my availability and without hesitation says I am not qualified, and neither was my friend, I asked why he simply stated we need people with open availability, I mention to him that there was a mistake in the availability and I can accommodate to any schedule, he rudely said there is nothing I can do for you the positions are all full, my interview was scheduled at 3pm we came in 35 mins prior,well dressed and ready to be part of a working company and to be told that the position was already filled without proper notification prior our arrival was unethical and unprofessional. We both are college graduates with degrees looking to make a fresh start in an established company. We tried to speak with representatives of the corporation in Burlington, NJ only for the security guard to answer the phone and hang up twice. We are both aware that another job will come by but this is the most disrespectful and unprepared encounter we have faced. As former customers and potential hires we are utterly and deeply disappointed in this establishment. read more

Place is a dump! You can find good deals, but good luck getting out of there in a timely manner. Let me get this straight, I am willing to spend $100, but you can't pay extra cashiers $10 per hour to cover the front overflow??? There are always about 1-2 cashiers working with about 20 people waiting in line. I always end up leaving my items and heading for the door. I stopped by Burlington in Cerritos California I went in with the intention to pick up something that I had on my mind and I want you to go ahead and purchase it and pick it up from the store. We couldn't find the item that was previously on hold for me. The customer service that I got here was impeccable the manager's name is Mary, and there was a couple of other young ladies that were super helpful let me start from the beginning these are the people I'm speaking about Mary the manager, my cashier Corina, the first young lady that helped me Candice, Aundrea and Alexis. When it comes to helping a customer they really are super helpful and kind. And the thing about it is regardless they always make you feel welcomed. A thousand people complain about the smallest sometimes big things while I'm here to give credit where credit's due thank you ladies for all your help I will be back and let my friends know that Burlington is the place to go if you want excellent quality and clothes and excellent quality and customer service. read more

Besides the fact this store is under construction, the employees I dealt with today went far and beyond what I expected! My huge picture frame didn't have a price,and the cashier Mirna took the initiative to not wait for someone over the radio to help,so she went upstairs and got a price for it! As she was gone very shortly, another employee lady came up to the counter and asked if I been helped! Once Mirna came back,she made great conversation, it was sincere! I paid for my cool stuff,and worked my way to the exit,and the nice security kid rushed to open the door for me since my hands were full! This is the worst Burlington and customer service ever!!! My father lives near this location and as our gift he offered to purchase our crib for our baby that we are expecting. So, we went to this Burlington to buy the crib because they had the one we wanted. We waited and waited in the messy, disorganized Baby Depot section for someone, anyone who worked there to come by to help us. No one did. We waited a half an hour hoping to see an employee. Finally, my husband went to find an employee. he walked all around upstairs looking for someone and finally found a woman. This woman seemed annoyed that she had to help us since she did not work that section. It took FOREVER to get help to buy the crib. Then we wanted to order the conversion kit. After all this mess I should have known better. No one really knew how to place a special order. They finally found someone who said they knew and that it had to be done as a layaway at the cashier. Then it took the cashier, and another employee, to figure out how to enter it in the register. This took about another 15-20 minutes. I was told we could not pay the full amount at the time, only the deposit; why? I have no idea. We were told it would take 2 weeks for the order to arrive. 2 weeks later I call to follow up on my order. It takes about 10 minutes to get someone on the phone to help me. They don't ask for my order number just a description of the item; I give it. 4 other people come on the phone and ask for a description of the item. I asked if they wanted the order to locate it and they said no. Finally, someone tells me it's not in yet and that orders take 6 weeks. O...K...they also told me that they are not even sure the order was placed correctly and take all my order info again. So...Now it's been about 7 weeks and I have not heard from them. I call to follow up. I hold for over 10 minutes for someone to help me. Finally a girl comes on and asks for a description of my order. I give it to her. She puts me on hold for another 10 minutes while she searches the back for it. She comes back on and says it's not in yet. I tell it that I was told 6 weeks and it's now 7. She says, "oh no, it's 8 weeks". What?!? Everytime I call it's a different story. I am now very concerned that I will never receive my item. It does not seem like anyone at this store knows what they are doing or are very competent. How can they keep track of special orders when they don't keep anything organized by order number? Why can't I just give my order number and have them track it? They can't even tell me if the order has actually been placed. I spoke with a manager who seemed nice and am awaiting a return call from him. But, if he is unable to give me a better answer in regards to my order I am considering demanding a refund for my deposit and ordering from the Huntington Beach Burlington . They are so much more organized and helpful! I special ordered the dresser from the HB location because I was so unhappy with the experience thus far at Cerritos. It took me all of 10 minutes to walk in, get help, place the order and pay for the full amount at the cashier. Avoid the Cerritos location!!! I have been to this location before and things have always been fine. This was until tonight when I came in and was followed by an employee who was speaking to someone else over here walkie talkie. I grabbed a weight I found along with others and was followed until I left it. The employee then proceeded to follow and ask me where I had put it so I pointed to where it was where she then gave an excuse to why she was following me. I asked for some help since I was alone with my baby and the worker there in the baby section was very helpful! She even helped me take if to my car! Plus I got a 20% discount because I signed up for email updates prior to the visit. Be careful with that coupon, the email can only be viewed twice, and then it will erase on its own, if you don't print it right away. read more

Came in over the weekend to buy clothes. Took my time and found really good deals. I had a lot of items meaning clothes. Once reaching the register something told me the employee was not going to do a good job. Well basically my debit card was charged over and over again, without her knowing or myself. Im not sure how this happened but because a receipt didnt print she didnt think i was charged. I immediately checked my bank account and sure enough it was charged. I told her and she told me it was a lie until i spoke to a manager. Yes she did charge me and it would take about 48 hours to get the money back. I had to leave my clothes because i was not going to use my card again. The manager said she would hold my clothes for 48 hours which was okay i guess the least she can do. I go back Tuesday, to employees who were not helpful or willing to look for my clothes on hold. The whole time i could view my clothes behind them and their telling its not there. Finally they bring me my clothes and are complaining of other employees to me. I was not offered layaway or a discount for all the trouble. I asked questions and the employee was so upset. They really need to improve i will be going in, in person to complain. This is extremely unacceptable. read more
