Came here while running errands with a friend. I had a bunch of items in my online cart just waiting to eventually be bought, but it wasn't anything I needed immediately so I kept putting it off. Since we were passing by I asked her to swing in. These Walmart feels a bit clustered, in a similar way to Hobby Lobby. It's almost so packed that it starts to feel cluttered, even though most items are organized properly. That being said the prices and variety are quite good. An item my friend wanted to pick up was sold out but that's because it was discounted quit well compared to other stores. I find their prices super competitive, but end up often going to other stores to do my general grocery shopping as sales on meats are often better elsewhere. But for general/most items I feel like Walmart is pretty solid. read more

Worst customer service on the face of the planet. Most of them are extremely rude and dont care. Half of the store is locked up behind glass and you have no way of getting to it. If you push the button for someone to come to you they will NEVER come. You could wait the rest of your life and not a single employee will come to help you. If you try to walk around and find another employee to help you they will either tell you to go fuck yourself or say they are gonna call someone to help you and still nobody will come. This is by far the worst Walmart in the USA. We haven't stepped inside this store the entire year until today. How we were treated today is completely inexcusable. At any other store, company, or workplace Helen would be written up multiple times per hour and would have HR terminating her employment in an instant. I have seen a couple other reviews mentioning Helen at the center of poor customer experiences and unfortunately we took the brunt of her abhorrent behavior towards customers while on the job. At approximately 7:30 AM, Helen was working a register and checking out a single customer, yet she had the checkout light turned off. We assumed that she was not taking any more customers due to the light being turned off, so we waited in the line next to her check stand. The customer ahead of us had 2 cart loads full of food and household items and was making 3 large transactions. This was taking forever. Since we do not have a Walmart membership, we aren't allowed to use the self checkout, so we were forced to wait in this slower than the DMV line. After waiting in line for about 20 mins, Helen yells, "next!" for the next customer to go to her checkout lane. We were clearly the next in line and when we went to go to her line, the customer behind us rushed around and cut in front of us. We pointed out to Helen that we were next and she gave us a truly disgusting, demeaning, and belittling tone and attitude. She said, "Well, you're just standing there and all your stuff is there," as she pointed to the fully loaded conveyor belt of our line. All the stuff on the conveyor belt was the customer's who was in front of us making 3 large transactions. We told her that the stuff on the conveyor belt was not ours. Helen just turned her head and ignored the issue. Every customer that she assisted was a customer that looked liker her. She clearly demonstrated bias based on what the customer looked like. If you did not look like her, she gave you a nasty attitude and treated you as a chewed up gum wad on the floor of a public restroom. All this attitude and nastiness at 7:30 AM! If Helen is this ridiculous and has this much attitude at only 7:30 AM, demonstrating a clear bias towards certain looking people, she needs to find a new job or management needs to step in. She's the one working a minimum wage, minimal effort job at Walmart, not us. Good luck to Helen in life. I expect to see her soon on an episode of Customer Wars! read more

Update 12-1-25 I drove over this afternoon and the so called store manager Yvette with her dry nasty attitude told me despite ordering online for this store driving over won't help because they handle everything online That to me is ridiculous it's my local store wth can't I get a replacement or refund and buy the rug directly from the store it makes no freaking sense they don't have many left in stock so I'll have to return everything else if I can't keep a matching set. I paid for delivery and tipped and I'm getting all this drama how about refund my delivery fee and tip and gas for driving over but I guess that would be too much like right I keep getting the runaround and I'm soo annoyed it's unreal. Do not do online delivery you will have little recourse or help whenever they f up your order. I placed an order to get a few house things and a set of rugs one is a runner for my hall the other is a 3 x 4x8 rug for my bedroom. I placed this order because last week I ordered a 5 x 7 rug for my living room loved it decided to purchase more in the same style and color the runner ships 12-10 and the 3 x 4x8 rug was to deliver tonight with my regular order. And since I've been having issues with Walmart previously for not delivering my complete orders I always check the bag before they leave and video the process. Everything is in my order except the rug a noticeably absent item the young lady didn't speak English but we tried to communicate she went to check her car came back and said there's no rug in her car I videotaped her speaking Spanish I verified what happened what was missing I acknowledged only what she delivered and was missing we said bye and she left. I called the support line immediately and as always the excuses came and same runaround re what happened I'm like where is my refund or re deliver it to me tonight l I paid the year for delivery and if I have to go in the store it defeats me paying for delivery. I don't blame the delivery drivers most of the time but whatever is going on be it driver error in pickup or online not packing my full order I just want my stuff. This store and location is out of control they don't pack groceries properly whatever most times and they most often send or pack expired foods a lot they have also given my orders to other customers by mistake and vice versa have given me some of the customers orders I call and they say just keep them whaat I really need my own order and I get the runaround. When the delivery I paid for in full has expired they will never see another dime of my money I'm over this inept ridiculous drama and lack of customer care I'm boycotting this out of touch company and moving on to Costco Albertsons Aldi or Vons this is where I'll shop from this day forward only using Walmart for items I need and can't get elsewhere. Walmart get it together I've complained over and over about the online grocery department I videotaped it called took pictures and you still refuse to do anything about it I strongly suggest that you fire the online grocery manager retrain the staff on how to pack and start over this department over because this is fn ridiculous. Don't shop online if you're smart especially if it's something you really want and need they will let you down and insult your intelligence when you call to complain this is not a phone operator issue this is a department manager issue.. I am not a regular Walmart shopper. But my husband and I visited the Long Beach Walmart last weekend to purchase oil for our Diesel truck oil change. The little machine in the aisle was out, so we asked an employee for a book to find our filter. This guy was so genuinely nice and helpful, he quickly got the book, looked up the part for us, went to the aisle and spent a lot of time trying to find the filter, he went way above and beyond. I wish I had gotten his name; he has a funny laugh. Then they were 1 gallon short on the oil we needed. So another female employee was so helpful, she looked up the oil on her handheld and said they had some. She spent at least 15 minutes trying to find it in the back, then directed us to another store. This was Nordstrom style service, really, really impressed. Then as we were walking to the register I noticed a 3rd employee walking a kid around helping him find a specific toy. On 10/27/24 at 8:25PM, I visited the Walmart on 2770 Carson St. Lakewood,CA. On my way to the check out, I saw a large metal bin with over 50 beach umbrellas on both sides of the metal bin, with TWO large yellow signs saying "CLEARANCE $2". I went ahead and picked up several of these beach umbrellas, and when I went to check out, as I was getting checked out by the cashier, the store's team lead, "Helen" or "Helena", came over and started yelling to the cashier to not override the price, and she said that whatever price the umbrellas scan, is the price. The umbrellas were scanning at $15 each. I told the team lead "Helen(a)" that the sign shows $2, she yelled at me and told me " customers be putting random items in random places, and those are not on sale, and I WILL NOT override anything!!!". She was sooooo rude, yelling at me, I took a picture of the metal crate full of beach umbrellas, and she refused to see my picture. I asked her to walk over with me to show her the MASSIVE $2 sign, and all the 50 or more umbrellas that were under that $2 sign. I asked to speak to the manager, Helena claimed she called the manager, but the manager never showed up. And she walked by me one more time, and yelled at me, and said " I will not override anything". First of all, I was not trying to be shady, I simply was taking advantage of the $2 clearance on the umbrellas. Helena, the team lead, was a terrible example for her employees. She refused to walk over and check out the giant metal crate with all the umbrellas. The next day I called the store manager, Lorraine ( as shown on my receipt). It was impossible to get through. The only department that answered the phone was Optometry department. I asked if I could get connected to the store manager Lorraine, and they said they dont have a way to transfer. The optometry rep took my message to pass on to Lorraine. It is now Nov, 12th and have yet heard back. The "store lead" Helena or Helen should NOT be treating people like this. I was nice, I was understanding that mistakes happen, but she refused to go check the section with the all the umbrellas, and she yelled at me like I was the one doing something wrong. In fact, Helena is wrong, her merch was wrong, her team didn't do their job properly and instead of fixing the problem and getting mad at them, she treated me in the worse manner. I feel like Walmarts unfairly get a bad rep.. the long lines to check out. So many items locked up and it takes forever for someone to come and get the item you need. Sometimes it brings unique characters. lol But I too, have a love hate relationship with Walmart. However, they usually have what I need and at a price that helps my budget. For me the big thing is the parking.. there is usually enough but I feel like you end up parking pretty far since everyone wants the front parking spaces. It's Always busy This Lakewood location isn't the nearest one for me but I do like coming here since it has a garden section and oil change place which I like. You can get your oil change or new tires while you shop and your car will be ready once you're done! Today I just bought a few items ( corkscrew $10 and fruit scrubber $5) and did self checkout which was nice and fast and I was able to get out fast and easy. Usually when I come though I do purchase more household items or groceries. I'll always keep Walmart as a go-to especially when I'm in a jam! read more

I used the mobile site to place the order and checked in using the app. My order arrived under 10 minutes and everything was included in the order. On Wednesday night 3/25/26 I tried to buy a bike for my grandson. Was told by 4 different people including the manager that someone would be there. Waiting about 45 minutes and still could not get anyone to come and unlock the bike I wanted. I gave up leaving very frustrated. Today I went to exchange an item that i purchased unfortunately I didn't have the receipt. I didn't know Walmart had its own policies and I respect that. I originally bought an item for 15 dollars. When I returned the item I only received 3 dollars. Angie the girl that was helping told me my balance. I got the gift card. Whatever. After I finished shopping I asked her " can I asked you a question why didn't you give me the full refund" she tells me well you didn't have a receipt. Okay I get that I am not mad. I should've asked before the exchange. I told her I'll just get my item back and I'll give you guys your money back, with an attitude she told me I cannot do that. Okay I get it. But then she tells me " I hope you learned your lesson.". Okay the lesson I learned was that if I purchase an item full price the price changes and you get back whatever the item is now worth.. okay lesson learned. That will help if they can explain to their costumers their return policy. I am Not going to lie but i started laughing. I thought she was joking around. First, let me say that Sophia at the self checkout lane was very nice, very professional and gave me a sense of hope again. I go to Walmart only to receive money from a friend of mine and the last time I waited 45 minutes to almost an hour because there's only one person, and when I got to the front, I told her that it was awful the way she worked by herself and she said oh I just get used to it because I know they're not gonna put anyone else here. Tonight I stood in line again for 45 minutes because there was only one agent and I'm in the middle of getting my new license drivers license from the state of California and she would not take my my one that just expired, which I can understand you need to read the barcodes, but there should be some kind of caveat or warning to people in the app if you do not have a license Up-to-date it then you cannot process money. I asked for the manager because the lady behind me was concerned that she wasn't gonna be able to make it because the agent close the line at 6:30 and when she walked up, she asked why she couldn't be helped and she said because I go home at seven. There was no replacement for her, so I asked for the manager on my behalf and on the ladies behalf just to say what an awful experience it was waiting in line time is money! And the lady needed to pay some bills and she probably had to pay him tonight so as I was talking to the manager, she has nothing but a grim face there's no sense of trying to lift the size of her lips to put out a little smile And she almost proceeded to just walk away while we were talking and I said are you leaving? Review for gas only. Wow. I was actually trying to get gas at Costco, but they would have been closed 1 minute after I got there. Didn't want that anxiety building up lol. I ended up finding this Walmart location on GasBuddy. So cheap. Even cheaper than Costco. Costco was $4.49 for premium. This place was $4.09. I was impressed. Not packed and no crazy line. I came to redeem coupons for Beckon ice cream. There were many flavors that looked really good. I bought 3 and tasted them at home. All are delicious. Chocolate with brownie pieces, peanut butter with a peanut butter swirl, and mint with chocolate chips. I needed vinegar. One quart was 12 cents less than the 2 quart size, so I bought the bigger one. Easy to park and short check out. Good trip. read more

I simply requested a price match from Walmart.com and a staff member named Angel at the self checkout lane did not acknowledge it. He claims to be a new employee and does not want to do the price match for .60 cents. Ridiculous! He did not want to make it right for me so I went to ask For the manager, and she did the same exact thing. She refused to price match the online retail price of their walmart.com website. This review is in regards to a product this Walmart sells, specifically, TCL Televisions. Do NOT buy TCL, EVER! The NFL might endorse the TV's, or claim to use them, but our TV failed in less than a year. In fairness, this Walmart may not know the warranty practices of TCL, but let me tell you, in my opinion it's a complete joke. Also, the store manager at this Walmart is extremely helpful, but this is out of her control. Anyhow, we bought the extended warranty on our TCL TV, because we weren't familiar with the brand, but the problem is the hoops they make you jump through before even "determining" if it's a defective TV. Our TCL TV went bad "prior" to a year, so Walmart wanted us to connect directly with TCL, to trouble-shoot the TV over the phone with a TCL technician. OK, that's reasonable. After talking to the technician, and being unable to clear the problem, they requested a "photo" of the TV problem, in addition to pics of the receipt, serial number, and a pic of the TV turned "off". Not sure how a pic of the TV off is helpful, other than to see your reflection in the TV. After complying to those requests... they then requested a "video" of the TV on the home-screen. Of course, after we submitted everything the first time, thinking they would honor the warranty, we disconnected the TV. Who leaves a bad TV plugged in for weeks? Not us. Also, TCL said... "Please let us know if you still have the original box. If necessary, we can send you a free box that you can use to ship your TCL unit to our Service Center." Oh, okay, how kind... you'll send us a "free" box so we can pay for shipping to the service center. Thank you so much for the "free" box. Anyhow... I can go on and on. You've been warned!! It's a scam, plain and simple. In my opinion, TCL drags this on so long, and keeps requesting more pics and videos, hoping the delays get you discouraged, and you just buy another TV. read more

I had the absolute worst experience I've ever had shopping in person. My first attempt to get my bike was to pick up from placing an order through the app. I went to the pick up spot. I waited 30 minutes and they said they did not have my bike. They asked me to cancel my order because they " didn't have it". I then decided to go in store to see what options I had considering I needed the bike I had seen the bike. I purchased through the online app in the store as soon as I walk to the bike aisle. I went back to the pick up area inside the store and they said they cannot complete the purchase through me walking in. So I went back into the store letting them know I didn't have my card on me. I only had Apple Pay and then I had my card on the app. They said it would work perfectly fine. I can go and get the bike and check out through a regular register using the app. I went back to the bike aisle waited about 45 minutes press pressing the button multiple times to get assistance and no one came. I wish I knew the girls name who helped me working in the technology center cause she was very, very nice and the manager or " Coach" that helped me was also very nice. She apologized for me waiting and allowed me to roll the bike up to the registers myself. There I had issues with the app, not allowing my payment to go through or it was just an error in technology. I changed registers twice and then asked for assistance from a manager which they sent a team leader. Her name was Neena. Immediately, she showed no kindness towards me and as I was already upset about the situation, I grew frustrated from not having any options and Nina had a very terrible attitude. I said I don't understand what there is to do, but I ordered the bike earlier and it was canceled and I'm frustrated and I'm assuming my frustration showed because she said this is not what we're gonna do and walked away finding another team lead to come and help me. The other team lead was better at helping the situation but also had a sour attitude. I'm not sure of her name either, but I ended up overall leaving without the bike and never wanting to shop at Walmart again. Whoever is hiring team leads to have those attitudes needs to reevaluate before promoting. read more
