I needed a pair of dress shoes, for work, but didn't want to pay a fortune. I went to Ross, in the same shopping center. Unfortunately, they didn't have my size. I went next door to Burlington. I immediately found my size. I tried the shoes on and they fit fine. The price was reasonable. As I was paying, I noticed Loss Prevention staring at me. As soon as I paid, Loss Prevention smiled. Used to be a a good place to find winter wear for a good price. Not a place where you can find anyone to answer questions and it's a long line to check out. Value is their pricing. Greetings to all , first off, l want to give Big props for even having a Burlington store in this area, we needed some sort of competitive atmosphere in the area to compete with Ross just a few hundred feet away; this would keep their type of retail market pretty much the simpler in fashion. Now having said this, every since I have been coming to this store location, l have had a mixed customer experience each time. The interior design of the store changes with the seasons which is a good thing, l am very happy with this. I may be showing my age, but I used to go to a store on Market Street in Sanfrancisco called Woolworth's ; this was an all inclusive outstanding customer experience every time. Now as for this location, just like every other hard working business, a good employee can make you or break you in the business's efforts to earn a profit. When you have enough people working things go a lot smoother, which is just the opposite when you have a lack of staff. When l come into this sort of business, l already know what to expect in as far as the Values of the my selections ; l have Not been disappointed as of yet; the parking is great also. Went to buy a gift for someone. Bought it with a giftcard. Remaining balance was $3.09. Asked to get the remaining in cash. The cashier next to her, do not recall her name, answered saying they can't do that. Sidenote* in the state of California you are allowed by law to redeem a giftcard under 10 dollars. I told the lady as much but she didnt budge. I am not going to buy somethint I do need just to get the remaining balance. read more

Don't return things here unless you want Reese to make you feel like you stole the items even with a valid receipt. Nothing was worn, and not even tried on. We just decided we didn't like the cut of the shirts. I came in I said "good morning" with a big smile, and she said "yeah" then I said I had a return and nothing was wrong with the items I just didn't like them. She said "uh huh" and questioned where I got them from even though I bought them at Burlington in San Jose which she can see from my receipt. She tried to also accuse me of leaving a stain on the shirt, which it was just fuzz from another shirt that I got. She said she does not want to return items here from other stores because she doesn't know what I could have done to them. As she finally decided to return my items, the security told her that she received another complaint, and Reece proceeded to say "boo hoo. Who cares" and laughed. Then Reece kept saying how she's the Grinch of Christmas. And I said I can see that. Unfortunately, Burlington at this location lost my business. She humiliated me and made me feel like I was a criminal for no reason. Just because I changed my mind on a few items that I purchased 3 days ago. She made me so angry that I didn't even get to shop around before having to drive back 20 miles to go home. Came in after work, was hoping to find a cute animation shirt for my nephew. No avail. This location used to be Buy Buy Baby, and I don't remember the store being this small. It used to have walls and structures, I guess without it, it really look down sized. Upon arriving, walking in, there were 2 guys, young, probably around 18-22 yrs old, they're loss prevention. They both stand to the side chit chatting. One guy, removed the latch from the rope to let me in. The other guy STOPPED A MOTHER with a stroller and her husband from leaving even though they didn't make a purchase. The guy looked up and down at their stroller to make sure they didn't steal any thing. My 20 minutes in the store was a complete waste. Inventory was basically non existent. There wasn't any variety. Racks are half empty. Sections very limited. When I did find a nice blouse for myself, it was all ripped on the side. Their lighting is weird. Made everything I looked like seems to have a shadow cast. I notice there wasn't any other employees working the floor. One cashier only. read more

This location sucks! Always opens late. It indicates it opens at 9:00am but doesn't open till 9:05am because staff are always talking with each other. I asked for help last time to see if they have any hello kitty blankets and they were not helpful at all! I made a loop and came back seeing them get the blankets from the back room and hand them to a customer/friend they know there! That's bullshit. We are both customers and they're playing favoritism. Wow! I am shocked how much time I spent doing a return in this store without a receipt. The employee didn't give my son a receipt when he bought an item and he wanted to exchange it or get store credit, who knew it would be such an issue lol. First of all, Reese it's extremely rude and rowdy (blue braids). She told me I was lieing in front of my son about not having a receipt. After speaking with manager Ali, he was more than willing to help us which he did. I appreciate him diffusing the situation even though she wanted to continue to be hostile towards my son and I. After leaving and getting the store credit, Ali forgot to give my DL back, I can understand because it was so stressful with her around. I went back and had my son go inside and ask for Ali, well, Reese ended up having my DL and gave it to my son while telling him "if your mom didn't have such a smart mouth, she would have had everything". Seriously, who does that.?! To a child.?! She has zero respect and doesn't deserve to work in customer service. At the end of the day, she knows where I live since she had my DL so... not sure what will happen but one can only hope she doesn't continue this hostile behavior outside of her work. I just went today to buy some clothes and other things and the service was horrible. I asked one staff for help and they just ignored me. The things are completely messed up and I couldn't find nothing good. Cashier service horrible there was a big line and only 2 cashier open and they were working hella slow and being rude with the customer. I don't recommend this place to anyone.
