I've been shopping at this location for many years because it's close to my home, but my recent experience this week was very disappointing. I was trying to exchange an item for the exact same item. The reason for the exchange was that the pants I received as a gift were a much shorter fit than the same model I've bought before. I wasn't asking for a refund -- I simply wanted to exchange them for the same style in a normal fit. Because I didn't have the receipt or tag, I was told I couldn't make the exchange. The customer service was poor, and the manager, Raul, was not helpful. Considering how much they charge for their clothing, a much higher level of customer service is expected. I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment and concern regarding an extremely upsetting and discriminatory experience I had at your Burlingame, California location (1304 Burlingame Ave). I recently purchased two outfits from Lululemon's online store for a special event. Unfortunately, due to shipping delays, the items arrived after the event had already passed. As per Lululemon's return policy, I decided to return the unworn items in their original packaging to the Burlingame retail location. Upon arriving at the store, I approached the register and opened the package in front of the sales associate. Immediately, the associate informed me that she could not process the return because the clothing "had a smell." This was confusing and deeply frustrating, as the items had just been opened in her presence--sealed from the original online order--and had not even been worn or removed prior to that moment. When I expressed my confusion and asked how I could be held responsible for an alleged odor from items that had just been unwrapped, the associate suggested that I "take the clothes home and air them out," which was both unreasonable and dismissive. I then requested to speak with a manager. When the manager arrived, she did not greet me or acknowledge me respectfully, but instead curtly repeated that the items could not be returned. I asked her if she had personally smelled the clothing, and how such a determination could be made without direct inspection. Rather than offering a reasonable explanation or attempting to de-escalate the situation, the manager abruptly asked me to leave the store. When I calmly asked why, she called the police on me--a disturbing and disproportionate response to a customer seeking help with a standard return issue. I stood in silence as this unfolded, and to my knowledge, law enforcement did not respond, likely because there was no threat, conflict, or reason to escalate the matter to that level. This experience was not only unprofessional but deeply humiliating, racially charged, and unfair. As a Black woman, I could not help but feel that I was being treated differently because of the color of my skin. The tone, assumptions, and outright refusal to address the situation reasonably--coupled with the decision to involve the police for no justifiable reason--suggest implicit bias and discriminatory practices at this location. Lululemon promotes a brand identity based on inclusivity, wellness, and respect. My experience in Burlingame was the opposite of those values. The behavior of both the sales associate and the store manager was entirely unacceptable, and I am requesting the following: 1. A formal investigation into the actions of the staff at the Burlingame location. 2. Immediate retraining on cultural sensitivity, racial bias, and de-escalation for all store employees. 3. A formal apology for the discriminatory treatment I received and for involving law enforcement without cause. 4. Clarification on how Lululemon plans to ensure fair and respectful treatment of all customers moving forward. I sincerely hope that my experience leads to meaningful reflection and changes within your organization. No customer should ever be made to feel criminalized or unwelcome--especially based on race. It's sucks when you know this could have all been prevented but unfortunately one of the agents gave me the attitude of a lifetime and now I have to drive back to lululemon (with rising gas prices) to take care of this again... I went to the Burlingame store one Sunday afternoon in the hopes of getting my ABC pants repaired. I had tugged on one of the belt buckles too hard and it created a nice little hole in my pants. I walk up to a lady by the changing room and I explain I wanted my pants to be repaired. As she goes ahead and puts the pins in, I notice that the pin was literally hanging on one strand of the already-gaping hole. I asked the lady, hey, can you re-pin that? And she responded, "Don't worry, they will fix wherever we pin." I realized she didn't even address my concern, and I repeated, "can you repin it because it seems like it's a little loose and it might fall off?" She responded, "I've already pinned it as close as I can to the place of repair. YOU CAN PIN IT YOURSELF IF YOU WANT." (Capitalized for emphasis not for volume) I don't want to cause a scene, so I reluctantly say, never mind, it's fine. The remainder of the conversation went smoothly and she was nice about some other stuff but that statement definitely left a sour taste... Well, I can't tell who I should really blame here, the person who was suppose to fix or the potentially loose needle that probably fell off so the seamstress probably didn't know what to fix.... I got my pants back a week later, and what do ya kno... the hole is still there anddddd a part of the pants that wasn't ripped got fixed.... Either the seamstress made the biggest silliest mistake ever or the pin fell and the seamstress didn't know what to fix and fixed some random spot... The manager Rebecca is very helpful who helps my best friend out picking out a dance auditions outfit and was very polite. The environment here is very nice and clean with good vibes music. That even though we went almost closing time like 15 minutes before closing they still open the store for us to help out and give us suggestion to buy. Always a delightful lululemon location to visit. I tend to check out their new selections on my walks with my dog. The staff is friendly and extremely dog friendly! Their athletic wear is generally reliable and of high-quality. I like that as a member I can return items that don't fit or work as well. On a recent visit, my wife inquired about a hard to find belt bag and Molly was very friendly and helpful with helping her with her questions. My husband swears by lululemon and will tell anyone and everyone he knows to go try out the brand for themselves. Our uncle decided to give them a try and had bought a whole bunch of clothes one day. When I found that out, I told him about the fact that they are giving a 25% discount to hospital staff. My uncle is a radiologist for UCSF. I suggested he bring his receipt back for a price adjustment, as I had a friend (who is a physical therapist) do something similar. She bought clothes online and then went into the store to get her price adjusted to 25% off. She simply showed her badge. My uncle was pretty excited when he learned about the discount and went to lululemon Burlingame the next day. They waited around for 2 hours before it was their turn, only to be told by the employee that they just changed their policy to only apply to doctors and nurses. My uncle and aunt took their word for it and left. When they told me about the incident, I checked the lululemon website and the policy did not change... "We offer a 25% discount to North American active, reservist military members and their spouses, veterans, active emergency first responders, as well as nurses, doctors and support workers who are working in hospitals, acute care facilities and long-term care facilities." Now here's the kicker. Not only is my uncle hospital staff, he is also a veteran. So he meets not one, but two of the criteria. I was pretty ticked off, as was my husband, who called lululemon customer service and explained the situation. Marissa was so kind and helpful. She confirmed that the policy has remained the same and apologized for what happened. She said they would contact Burlingame lululemon and explain to them the policy, send us an email explicitly saying that our uncle's discount should be honored so that we can show the email if they run into trouble yet again trying to get the adjustment, as well as grant my uncle a gift card for the troubles. My uncle went to lululemon Hillsdale today and had no trouble at all getting the price adjusted. We are so appreciative of Marissa's customer service and the customer service at Hillsdale. I had a worst customer experience here! I purchased algin top here, in my size but it fits smaller than usual so I decided to go back here for exchange. I waited in line at the register for my turn, a staff walked by approached to see what I need help with. After I told her, she said that I can just wait there for the register. I figured that she didn't want to deal with my hassle. Basically my concern is quality promise because the algin top I purchased runs one size smaller. After I told the staff at the checkout register, she said that she can exchange it for me, but I have to exchange to a different color, and pay the difference because the color I had is no longer available and it was last sold for $29. Wait a second, I didn't purchase this item this price, why I have to pay the difference for exchange for their quality promise??? After all, she asked me to go to the end of the line. But why??? Date of visit: Monday, 1/24/22: This goes directly to customer service! I entered Lululemon and right away I felt the warm ambiance. I found the items I was looking for pretty quickly since I was in Lululemon at Arden Mall (Great Customer Service) over the weekend and knew exactly what I was looking for. I proceeded to the fitting rooms and the girl in the back just stared at me and I had to ask if I can try on the clothes. She guided me to a room and wrote my name on the whiteboard outside the door my room. I'm trying on the 1st pair of pants and walked out the room to use the mirror on the outside. The same girl/employee looked at me and continued to watch me looking at myself in the mirror. I looked at her because at this point and what normally would happen is and employee would ask, "how do they feel? What do you think?" Well sadly she said nothing. I was going to ask for another size but good thing I had my partner with me to assist me with grabbing another size. I return to the room so I can try on the new size then to hear a gentleman walk out of his room and with no hesitation I hear the girl/employee ask him, "How do you like it? How's the fit? Did you need a me to grab you anything else?" I'm sitting in the room wishing I had that same reaction when I came out the room. I thought to try again and walked out looked in the mirror outside of my room & once again the silence and watching my every move. I was totally over the customer service and I felt very uncomfortable because the gentleman comes back out and once again she's tending to him and not me, interesting. I guess next time I will wear a fancy suit. I walked to the cashier to purchase my pants but then I noticed a another pair of pants. The only problem was that the pants were labeled sizes 30, 32, 33, 34 and unfortunately I don't know my size if I'm a 12. I found an employee and asked if she can let me know what size I would be if I'm a 12? She literally replied, "I'm so sorry, I don't even know either but I THINK a 36 or 38? I really don't know these sizes either? so... yeah 36 or 38?" Now at this point I'm at the, WTF stage. There was no customer service to find out what my size really is so once again thank goodness for my partner I had to ask for her phone to Google it and to find out I'm a 38-40 which is close but it's not what she THOUGHT. I love lululemon and considering how expensive the brand is, I should at least be receiving good customer service, or even just being acknowledged. This Lululemon store is an absolute joke and I will never be coming back here ever again. I came here with my friend who had to pick up her order and upon entering, there was no one standing at the door. As we make our way to the back to find someone to help, the few employees that we made eye contact with did not once greet us or asked if we needed help and just walked past us. There's one girl in particular that I made eye contact with. A blonde girl with a bag that has the name "Bejram" on it. She saw me, proceeded to look at me from head to toe then left. Like can I help you or are you going to help me?? Throughout my whole visit, I would see her walking around not doing anything and I would catch her glaring at me from time to time. Clearly, there's obviously something wrong with this girl. She's not only lazy but she feels entitled to judge every customer that walks into this store. She's so busy judging people that it's almost like she forgot what she was hired to do. A prime example of great customer service would be the Lulu at Hillsdale. Still surprised that this place got 3.5 stars overall! I walked in and was immediately greeted by a nice educator (?). I'm still familiarizing myself with their retail verbiage. But she was very nice in helping me decide what type of sports bra to get based on my size and what I needed. While I was in the fitting room, I heart the first girl hand off to another educator that I was trying on some merch in the fitting room. I thought that this was pretty helpful so that the staff are knowledgeable in who is trying on items in the store rather than grab a fitting room and ditch them for the rest of their shopping experience. I ended up walking out with a cute strappy sports bra and another pair of cropped pants! I think I am falling down a Lululemon vortex where obsessively purchasing their merch (including their reusable totes) is a concerning condition! read more

I've visited a handful of Lululemon locations and the people working on the floor are super helpful, never pushy, and are good about trying to find clothes that fit you. Pros: - Most of the time I come here to buy athletic leggings. I'm petite so it took two visits to Lululemon to figure out my sizing and what yoga pants fit me best. I'm short so their 25" inseam or pants fit me perfectly. - I'm a fan of the side pocket on their yoga pants. - Yes, this place is expensive and $20 more than Athleta which is located right next door. For some reason, athleta pants don't fit me as well as Lululemon. Their pants are really good quality and last forever. Cons: - It's pricey. The quality of clothes is superior but it does put a dent in your wallet. read more

I I came in wanting to exchange a pair of legging I bought at another location, I wasn't sure if I could exchange it because I had already worn them a couple times and washed it twice before I noticed the seams coming apart on the side. I wasn't sure If I was able to exchange at all because I read online that they don't accept exchanges or returns of untagged items. When I got in the store the girl at the register greeted me immediately and processed my return immediately !! She asked me why I wanted to return and I showed her the defected pair and she immediately grabbed another pair without other questions and kept apologizing about the defected pair of leggings. This was my first ever Lululemon shopping experience and I will be back for more. I work out a lot, mostly Kettlebell HIIT, pilates, and yoga. I have a lot of leggings from brands like Lorna Jane, BuffBunny, Gymshark, Alphalete, etc... but I've always been curious about Lululemon. I walked in with a little basic knowledge of what some of the most popular leggings are and I pretty easily found the legendary Aligns everyone talks about. After grabbing a couple colors and sizes, Sabrina was immediately on it getting me set up in a fitting room. She was enthusiastic and attentive, but not at all pushy. She answered questions I didn't even know I had. The best part was that the fact that they do free hemming on their products! As a short girl, this alone had me pretty sold. To sum up, I now see the hype with Aligns and think they're totally worth it, I got great service from Sabrina who is a rock star, the other employees there all seemed pretty friendly enthusiastic as well, and I will finally have a pair of leggings that I don't have to cuff! Online shopping is great when you already know what you want, but if you're a first time buyer or want more guidance in exploring new items you should definitely go here. read more

Apologies if I misheard/misspelled names. Came here recently to get some workouts clothes for the private 1 on 1 KPOP dance lessons I'm starting soon. I birthed 2 kids and am out of shape. It's been awhile since I've shopped here/exercised so Scaby asked me if I needed help. I informed her of my situation and she quickly helped me find some sports bra, legging, pants, exercise top, exercise socks to try. She also kept checking in if I needed other sizes. Glad she did because some items were too tight/snug of a fit for me. Katie at the fitting rooms was very supportive and helpful as well ; she made sure I had all I needed. I almost went with a much bigger legging size because it was comfy for me. Scaby explained might be good to go down one size or else you might end up having to pull your pants up when it keeps slipping down when dancing if it's too big of size. That was very helpful for me to know. Lululemon is pricey but the quality is so good. I still have my mini backpack and exercise pants from years ago and because of the quality it's still in super good condition now. Thanks to the wonderful staff. I had my 15yo son with me (who wasn't exactly happy to shop for yoga pants with his Mom). I ordered a Christmas gift from Lulu online and but have no Lulu account. No Lululemon account. I received a order number but no order email confirmation. On talking to the online support person I was told there's no communication unless you have an account . That's... .... no order confirmation .... no tracking number or carrier .... no delivery date Having worked in the Silicon Valley tech industry I find this amazingly poor design and business practice. Great store and love the interior paint colors, it really brightens up the place. Great layout of merchandise which makes it easier for the consumer to find what s/he wants or needs. The customer service is friendly and casual. They're clothes are always cute, but oh so pricey. A backstory about myself before I go into my review. I currently am a manager at a gym and prior to this, I was a manager at a store on Burlingame avenue so I know the demographic of the area and understand management. The day I'm writing this review about, I did purchase a pair of the Fast and Free HR 7/8 leggings retailing at $128, their most expensive leggings. Went into the store on 12/17 around 11:30am, on a Monday morning so you know it wasn't busy at all. But basically, I had NO help at all. I barely got a "hi welcome in" when I walked in (and if you know the layout of the store, I had to walk all the way to the back to get the leggings). I passed by I think 5-6 employees, all without saying anything to me but a few made eye contact with me at least so I know they noticed me. All the employees were either talking to each other or helping the "higher end" customers, basically customers I guess they knew had money or were going to buy something or basically to simply put it- white customers. And as a minority and a poc, that's the stuff I notice when I walk into a retail store. I never want to make anything about race because that is stuff a touchy subject now in 2018 but since it's an ongoing thing when I walk into stores, never getting help but seeing only white people being served, it bothers the h*ll out of me. Really for a store to sell such pricey items (and I'm not complaining about the price or quality of the clothes at all) they should really at least train their employees to help EACH AND EVERY SINGLE CUSTOMER THAT WALKS IN, regardless of race, regardless of how I was dressed, regardless of whether they think I'll buy something or not. I regret giving that specific Lululemon my money. I even thought about returning the item, getting my money back, and driving all the way to the city (San Francisco) to purchase the same exact legging simply to give a better service customer service my money. My co-workers and I were walking into the restaurant across the street...lots of free food and drinks were awaiting us! And then I spotted Lululemon! I was like a kid in the candy shop and turned to my workout partner in crime, Gabi K, to do a little workout clothing shopping. Yes, I have 2 Lululemons back home in Chicago, which I shop at all the time (when the saleswomen know your name you know you spend too much money at a store!), but Lululemon just has that effect on me. This Lululemon is a bit smaller than the ones I'm used to in Chicago, but they still had all my favorite pants, tops, and hoodies! Many of the pants seemed to be on sale and here's the best part....they actually had some of the smaller sizes available!! When there's a sale in Chicago the smaller sizes are usually snatched up quickly, but didn't seem to be the case here. And the women who work here were so helpful and freindly! I'm kicking myself for not picking up the capri pants on sale (love those for summer!). And for those of you who haven't been converted into Lululemon fans yet I suggest entering this store with caution...once you go Lululemon there's no turning back. read more

**Horrible customer service at this location.** My boyfriend and I came in hoping for help regarding recommendations, sizing, etc. but we had no help at all, not even a "Hi, how are you today." Went towards the fitting room and the employee just looked passed us as we stopped to ask for a room. Later, when my boyfriend came out with the clothes that didn't fit, nobody had asked how the clothes were and we had to put all of them back ourselves. There were at least 2 employees talking with friends who were looking for gifts, and their friend asked the employee to try one of the leggings on because, "she looks like same size as my girlfriend". The employee then put on a pair of leggings over her clothes. The same employee received a coffee from a friend and walked throughout the store, sipping it. UNPROFESSIONAL. Also to mention, one of the employees had their HUGE dog freely roaming around the store. Luckily it was friendly, but there are customers who may not be comfortable with a big fluffy dog walking around their small children or interacting with their dogs who are on leashes. This location lacks proper training... went to a Lululemon in Sacramento who employees managed to assist several customers find the perfect fit for what they were looking for.
