1 star for the good customer service, other than that I wasted 150 on an essentials hoodie for it to finally be washed, and have all the back lettering fall off. I also own other essential hoodies that I've personally taken to dry clean, washed and dried on cool and this is the only one that all the lettering had fallen off of. Went into Hidden Hype yesterday. Shoes were way way way to over priced especially on shoes. Made me wonder if people actually purchase shoes from this place. If you actually do you must not know about sites like stockx or goat because this place is trying to sell their shoes for way more then both places even after the fees. Crazy that these people are getting away with ripping people off.. They had a pair of yeezy azareth's priced at 600! The highest priced azareth on stockx is 470 after all the fees! I ordered something from this company in late February; I quickly received a confirmation-email (February 28) stating that my order had been shipped. **So far, so good** The tracking number didn't work, but I figured I'd just wait for my item to arrive. Well, on March 12, haven't received anything yet, I emailed them to inquire... **CRICKETS** Three days later, I sent them another email with a "threat" to post a negative yelp review. Magically, hours later, I get an apology-email. They tell me that my item actually never shipped because they were backed up, and now with the coronavirus situation things won't ship until April 7. They offer me a refund or ask if I am willing to wait. I decide to wait. I really want my item and I can understand the coronavirus situation slowing things down, although I didn't appreciate having to email them twice to get a response from them, but I digress. It's April 16, I haven't received anything yet. I emailed them--no response. I called them today--no one picked up. I'm upset. This is what you call SHADY BUSINESS!!! Hands down 5 stars for these guys. As a dj playing the bay's top night clubs nearly every week I must be fitted in the freshest and finest and that's all this place carries. Owner is a personal guy who is passionate about what he does and really knows what he is talking about. All the dudes on the staff reflect the owner's leadership and are super solid. I come in every two weeks at the minimum, there's always new limited lines coming through and prices are very fair. The Hidden Hype custom brand lines are especially cool and some of the rarest stuff you can find. I constantly get comments on my gear that I've picked up from this store, but most particularly when I am rockin' Hidden Hype brand threads. I send all my friends here, guys and girls. They have super rare shoes on consignment as well and trust me when I say that u have been through all the consignment spots in the bay and this is the only place I go through anymore. Vibe is chill, music is on point, I meet cool people that are also there just checking out the latest and there's usually some real cute chicks just chillin' there kickin' it with the boys running the shop. I've bought three pairs of glasses here, both shades and readers, a number of super fly accessories, joggers, shorts, countless hats and tees and some really interesting hoodies which people ALWAYS respond to saying they "need to know where I got that". One super dope item they carry is the HH signature line wallet/phone holster sling. Super good quality & construction, convenient as all hell and guaranteed to get positive attention. Oh yea, and if there's something they don't have by a brand they carry, even if it says it's sold out online, these guys can usually still order it and hook you up. But... don't procrastinate too long because they get limited supplies of every item and in many cases, when it's gone - it's gone. Those of us who shop in boutique streetwear stores, know that most of these places come laced with a person, or group of people, that could be disrespectful and intimidating. HOWEVER, the owner of THIS establishment, Rami, is simply a CLASS ACT. Since the first day I stepped into Hidden Hype, each time I've visited the store since then the man has greeted me with a smile, a hand shake, and he even takes time out of his day to show all the latest and greatest pieces that keep up with today's latest trends in streetwear. From crazy prints and graphics, to simple and clean looks, Hidden Hype features a constantly refreshed selection of clothing tailored to an individual looking for a distinct look. In addition to his signature Hidden Hype line (which really sets the tone for the brand by the way), Rami supports both big and small business by offering well known brands such as Alife (and soon BBC), in addition to numerous smaller labels that are up and coming. In addition to the clothing selection, the store is also a shoe consignment store! HH is the only store that I know of that offers a 90/10 split consignment. I mean that is UNHEARD of! This split allows sellers to set prices that are closer to fair market, and because of this I've sold 10-12 pairs of shoes through Hidden Hype's consignment. Prices are completely set by the seller, but Rami gives great insight to a realistic price that a shoe will sell for. Once a shoe is sold, you get paid by check. There are many other things I could say about Hidden Hype, but the most important thing to take away from this review is that I'll continue to support this store first, over any other streetwear brand/store in the bay, simply because of the superb customer service that Hidden Hype embellishes. Best spot to find anything you need related to streetwear. They have an extensive selection of all the hard to find bands such as Billionaire Boys Club, Cookies, Stussy etc. They also just started carrying kids clothes which is a major plus!
