His tone was very rude and just didnt want to help me out at all. He even told me that it didn't matter that it was a gift and it didn't fit. Just today I went in to return pants that don't fit my son. They ask me to show proof of my credit card = ending in 4 digits. I used Apple Pay so they encrypt my card number and changed to different numbers than the original card. Long story short the girl in the counter was rude and her manager next to her offer to take over and he was also rude! They couldn't just process the refund back to the original form of payment! They said because of too many frauds they must see my physical card or info on my iPhone Wallet! This will be the last time I am shopping there! They really made me feel uncomfortable and fast to accuse me of fraud! read more

I came to this H&M to exchange a pair of shoes because the size didn't fit. On my first visit--still within the 30-day return period--I forgot to bring the credit card used for the purchase. A male employee (light skin, around 5'8") told my husband that even if it was past 30 days, he could still help us process the refund. I thought he was being kind and genuinely trying to help. Because of what he said, I drove 30 minutes back to the Serramonte Center store for a second visit. This time, I spoke to another employee (male, red hair, light skin, glasses, big beard, about 5'5"). I explained that I couldn't complete the refund the first time because I forgot my card, and that an H&M employee had told me they could still help me refund even after 30 days. The moment I said this, his attitude changed completely. He became rude, dismissive, and verbally aggressive. His behavior made me feel extremely uncomfortable and even unsafe. I understand that refunds normally have to be completed within 30 days. But I only came back because their own employee told me it would still be possible. And yet I was treated very poorly when I returned. What I don't understand is: 1. Why would an employee make a promise that cannot be fulfilled? 2. Why is it acceptable for staff to speak to customers with such disrespect? This experience was extremely disappointing. Customer service sucks! They would not let me try on because they were closing in 15 minutes so I purchased the clothes to try on at home but a pair of jeans didn't fit. Came here on a Friday morning and the place was pleasantly not crowded at all. All the merchandise was stocked, everything felt clean and organized, and customers weren't stepping over each other to try and look at the racks. Fitting rooms were available and clean and I was able to quickly find a few things that I needed, check out, and be on my way. I went with my husband to buy some clothes for him and the fitting rooms were closed. He just wanted a jacket so I had him try it on real quick not knowing that we weren't allowed to try any of clothes on even outerwear. There were no signs or attending staff. A minute later, a girl worker comes out of the back and yells at us "You can't try on any of the clothes," very loudly across the section. She didn't say please or anything polite. Everyone turned to look at us and we were quickly returned the jacket to the rack and left. It was so embarrassing. Also, only 1/6 of the store was for men's. MUCH BETTER customer service...totally compassionate to her stonestown experience. They even helped her shop in a thoughtful, "outfits" patterning. She was so happy it nearly made me cry. She even shopped for an all white jacket and jeans, a long coat, sweat pants and spent the same amount of money while purchasing 6 items and one for her girlfriend. I love a good deal, I do. I really like the cheap T's they have here and I want to like so much more. Problem being, this place is a sty. Everywhere you walk clothes are on the floor. The clothes that are actually hanging on racks are jammed together so tight, you can barely check the sizes let alone pull them off the rack. I think I like this location a little bit more than Stonestown since they have a men section and a children section and I don't have to truck all the way down to downtown San Francisco. (Their children's clothing is so darn cute! And I think their prices are pretty reasonable. But personally, I wouldn't let my children wear flats just yet...they're too young to ruin their feet...their back...their posture, but not saying it is good for adults too, I am just saying they're too young to cause damage.) The clothing is hit or miss and generally of cheap quality. The basic T's, leggings and other simple pieces are your best bet. I'd stay away from the pants. Some don't fit me well and bunch up in the fly area making it look like I have a package. You can't go wrong with the swim suits though. They are unbelievably cheap, look and feel like good quality. Impressive. I personally like H&M for its costume jewelry and hair accessories. Worst customer service ever. The cashier named "Jesus" was extremely rude. He kept making passive aggressive comments and spoke to me in a condescending tone. He tried to make me feel embarrassed for returning a shirt that didn't fit right. Just do your job, dude. Does saying that stuff make you feel better about yourself? I haven't been very happy with this H&M and can count on no fingers how many times I've purchased something here. (In case that wasn't clear, it's a whopping zero.) My closet is at least 50% H&M after many years of shopping....so why haven't I bought anything here? They have a poor selection. I can't help it, but there's nothing to buy here. (At least my wallet isn't too sad about that.) On the rare occasion I've found I actually like, it was in gigantic sizes. Bummer :( This store also has SLOW long lines to check out. I've visited H&M for as long as I can remember. I often come here for basics such as tank tops, T-shirts or tights. I also like their nice variety of accessories and jewelry. Their prices are very affordable. The quality is not off the highest standards, but it's no less than what you can expect for paying a bit less. When it comes to this particular branch however, I'm not a big fan. Usually this store is very messy and disorganized. It is nearly impossible to move around with a stroller because of several items scattered all over the floor. Zero rating to this location! Worst customer service! I asked the fitting room attendant why it's closed & the store has 2 hrs before closing & she told me It's not her problem! No kidding! She just told me that someone peed at the fitting room & it's Normal! I even told her that I can wait until it's cleaned up but she said I have to return the next day. I get the reason why they closed the fitting room but the way the situation was handled was extremely disappointing. I asked the Manager for the name of the fitting room attendant since the issue needs to be addressed and she told me Nope- I won't give you her name. Situations like this need to be escalated hence the reason why I need to know her name since I already have the name of the Manager who definitely needs to get fired or sent back to training together with her staff who doesn't care about their customers nor the business. I was on a accessories haul today! 9 pairs of cute little earrings for $3.95! Some bracelets were also $3.95. Right now, they have a BUY ONE GET 1 FREE deal for some of their knits. not bad. I didn't find anything, but some of you might! Store is relatively neat. I went this early afternoon around 12pm and staff were doing go backs, replenishing, and folding denim. best days to go are the weekdays. The store is way too crowded on the weekends. I tried to return something I got as A GIFT with the tag still on and the salesperson immediately said she could only give me a dollar. WTF? A dollar, I said? Can you at least check? She didn't bother to scan the item at all or do anything, she just repeated she could only give me a dollar "because it's old". I tried to understand this - Is it out of season or something? I mean this store is not even huge compared to the Powell one. Lousy Customer Service My mother (who is a senior by the way) went in for a return, but was quickly turned down by a rude and dismissive sales associate. Confused at the situation, I decided to ask for an explanation. The so-called supervisor named Mac was worst than the sales associate. Her demeanor was unwelcoming.........no greeting, no acknowledgement, inconsiderate, unprofessional, and clearly very immature. My return had a receipt & the tags attached. The company made a mistake somewhere because on the receipt, the items rang up as size 6 even though the tags said size 8. Due to this mismatch on their end, they wanted to hold me accountable because "they have no way of verifying the purchase." I can see their point, however, the way this encounter was handled is unacceptable. When I asked Mac to somehow track down the purchase she turned me down & said there was nothing she could do to help because she was not present at the time of the purchase. I insisted that it should not be the customer's fault and that that was the receipt given when the transaction was processed. How was I supposed to know of this mix up? After going back and forth, I came up with a brilliant idea and asked her to scan the item. She quickly discovered the error was on her end and when I pointed that out she became defensive and argumentative. I felt like she made no effort to find a solution and when I told her I would report my experience she shrugged her shoulders and said "that's fine." After the return was complete, I said I did not appreciate the way my mother was treated. Her response was "you weren't even here when your mom came in," she said this loud enough for the customers in line to hear. To put the icing on the cake, as I was leaving the store she giggles and yells across the room "have a great day, bye" clearly in a sarcastic tone. Prices are different from other H&M stores. I found a dress that was $10 at the Stonestown location that was selling for $20 at this location. I went to the cashier who informed me that this particular brand (H&M? No clue what she meant by this particular brand) at most will be 50% off and it doesn't go down to $10. I have been to a H&M's all over and let me tell you, no two are exactly alike. They all have a similar layout and some are more organized than others. This h&m unfortunaltey was very messy and has a horrible layout. It is hard to find anything in this store. The sections are so close togther that the mens section is partially in one part of the women's section. I was looking around and just gave up because I didn't want to scavenge through to find my size or a style of something that I liked. I went to the kids area to find something for my 3 year old neice and was horrified at the layout. All the kids clothes from ages 1 month-teen were all mixed in together. On topof that, it was very difficult to find out the sizes. I looked on their chart that they had and they did the sizes based on weight, age and height, not your normal 2t, 3t, etc. I have to agree with the other reviews that there weren't many employees around to ask for help but when I went to the dresing room, the emplyee that was there was very nice. The only upside to this h&m is that is located near other stores such as macys and target right inside the mall. The place was just an overall disaster read more

This location is much more convenient than going downtown and it has a larger selection that the location in Stonestown. I've found a couple of things at this location, which is more than I can say for the Stonestown location. I even came here on opening day and got some really good deals. It's generally hit or miss with their selection, but when they have cool stuff, it's generally super cute and not that expensive. read more
