I brought my bike for service. I was told I needed new drive train parts. I purchased what the tech told me I needed. I dropped the bike off to be serviced. They told me 3days. When I called on the 3rd day they had not touched the bike nd claimed they wouldnt repair it unless I bought a shifter that was alrdy on the bike nd functional. I can only assume they were either racist or not competent to do the job. Im in a bike club Major Taylor Cycling club of NJ. No one in our club or our affiliates will ever use this establishment again. The are incompetent to do any work beyond fixing a flat tire. read more

Terrible Customer Service. Last month I purchased a bike here, they were great in the shop, very knowledgeable and really seemed helpful. I spent over 4K on a bike and gear. When it showed up, it was missing some things I paid for. At first I thought no big deal, they can mail it to me as I live 4 hours from the shop and I can't just roll in there. It has been 3 weeks and no one will get back to me. Not cool. On top of this, the fitting was off and my back and neck have been hurting along with my left shoe kept falling out of the clip and right shoe clip was angled so much it my heel would bang on the crank on every peddle. I thought well, this is the way it is supposed to be, it is professionally fitted. So I went with it for 4 or 5 rides. Then my foot cramped up and a screw popped out from the clip since I was overcompensating to not let my heel hit the arm of the crank. Only had two bike fittings in my life, so didn't really know better. Can this all be fixed, sure, but the bike shop you buy from should be able to provide a solid fitting for ya with out having to go again and pay for one and deliver the equipment you purchase. I really wanted to like this shop and the people, but proof is in the pudding. read more

My boyfriend and I came in early on a Saturday looking for a 24" electra cruiser. We were greeted by a super nice guy who patiently waited as I tried out different options and helped me make my decision. Once my bike was built he continued to help by adjusting my seat and handle bars. I also talked to a few other staff members and they were also friendly. Spent 4 weeks looking for bikes for the family. Limited stock everywhere. These guys had options on the floor at decent prices. Even though these didn't fit at least they had stuff. So if you are looking during the shortage check them out. Got lucky as they just got a shipment and was able to get three bikes. Decent prices. I really tried to buy a bike here. Seriously. Went to the shop; met Charlie, the owner, and explained what I was looking for. He suggested I NOT buy then, but try to wait for better deals when this year's models were closing out to make room for next model year. Really respected that. He took my number and e-mail address. Well, I heard nothing from him a month later, so I called. We had to go through the whole thing again: what I was looking for, frame size, etc. etc. Took my info again, said he'd call ASAP with the bike options. Fast-forward another month. Same deal. Took info, etc. Said he'd call back. Nothing. Well, in that time, I'd found a nearby shop with what I wanted, and they were able to take care of me right away. Considering what some others have written here, I am wondering if this place is just "coasting", waiting to go out of business. It's dingy, dark, and a poor selection. I'd actually bought a Schwinn here in the 70's, and wanted to give them the repeat business. They were not that interested in making a sale, though. Service is what counts for me, and the Gloucester County shop has the same free service guarantee and was able to meet my needs right away. In a bright, very well-stocked floor. This is a really great shop. Brought an old bicycle in and they gave her an incredible tune-up. It's completely silent now! There were some delays due to a holiday and busy, but the wait was reflected on the price. Great value. Through several visits to this shop, while repairing my road bike and looking for a mountain bike, the staff here was more helpful than any other place I have visited. Charlie and Frank have spent plenty of time talking with me helping me understand all the options there are on bikes and what I may be interested in. At no point trying to convince me to buy something that would be out of my price range. Compared to other places I have visited that try selling me the most expensive things in the shop. There service department is top notch also. They told me when my bike would be finished and stuck to their word. And my bike felt like new. I will never visit any other bike shops. They have created a customer for life and I will always go there for any of my biking needs. read more

It's been 30+ years since I have been on a bike. I wasn't really sure that I could still ride a bike, but today I was very pleasantly surprised.  Jeremy B. worked with my husband to pick out the perfect Trekk bicycle. When I arrived at the shop this morning,  Jeremy had the bike adorned with all sorts of girly accessories along with a surprise bouquet of flowers. He spent the next few hours helping me test ride and making adjustments (seat, handle bars, gears, etc). Jeremy and the staff made me excited about biking again. Where to start with these guys. Years ago when the shop was still located in Willingboro, I had taken my bike in for a simple tune up. Upon picking it up I see that both my reflectors, rear view mirror and kickstand are no longer on the bike. When I ask where they went I am told they no longer fit the bike and hence have been thrown away. I was offered a discount on a new mirror. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago, for whatever reason I decide to give them another shot as they have relocated to Burlington and as such are much closer to my house. I take the same bike in to have a new set of tires installed and am told they only have one set in stock but that it just happens to be the right fit for my bike. $130 later they bring my bike out and here we go again with the missing reflector. After being told it doesn't fit on the bike with the new tires, I have to specifically ask for it back. These are items I've paid money for that this company thinks is perfectly fine to just toss in the garbage. Now here's the kicker. I bring my bike home and am planning on a full days ride for the following day. Coming out of my driveway I go to shift for the very first time since getting the bike back and the rear tire pulls into the frame nearly throwing me to the ground. Out of pure spite I took the bike to Mt Holly Bike shop (will be my go to from now on) where I was told that the tire is not the right fit for my bike and that if I wanted to keep the tires I would have to sacrifice shifting on the large sprocket. After all this I come back home and put the bike inside for a few days. Go to take it out yesterday and the tire that was pulling into the frame is flat and of course Burlington County Bikes got rid of my presta adapter while they were at it so I can't even attempt to pump the tire up. Bottom line, Burlington county bikes doesn't care about you or your bike and they have no problem letting you take an unsafe bicycle out of their shop. read more

A few months ago, I purchased a bike from this store. The customer service was wonderful...that day. Mind you, I knew nothing about bikes, so I relied heavily on the person I spoke with and he seemed extremely knowledgeable. I bought a kickstand, and also a water bottle holder, and waited for the call saying my bike was in. I got the call that my bike was in, and I headed over to the shop. The bike was brought out to me, and I had asked if they could fit me, since I had no clue how to adjust the seat. That seemed to go over well, but then I had asked if I could be shown how to remove the front tire, since I didn't have a bike rack, and I knew nothing else about the bike. I also asked about the accessories, and I was told that they wouldn't be in for a few more weeks as they were on back order. The gentleman who helped me this day, was the same man who sold me the bike. He walked me outside, and rushed me through the removal of the front tire, and didn't really care to show me how to put it back on. I felt like I was actually a nuisance in asking him, as I could tell the store was busy and he wanted to help other customers. I left that day feeling very lost, and not really knowing how to use my bike and all it's parts. I called a few weeks later to check on the parts, and never received an answer. I also left 2 messages regarding this issue, and not one person ever reached out. I understand that these pieces might not have been large ticket items, however, I never received the items I paid for. Soon after this, I actually snapped the front axel on the bike because I was never really shown how to adjust the pieces and secure the tire. I thought about bringing the bike back to this store, however, my last experience there made me go elsewhere. Guy's Bicycle, in Bensalem, was happy to help and spent the time to go over the parts of the bike, and how to safely work all it's parts. read more

I have to say-Burlington Bike shop was amazing this Christmas Season!! I was purchasing a couple of bikes for my sons, and we all know the back order issue all bike shops were dealing with. Every single gentleman I spoke to on the phone was so patient and understanding with me-even as I was calling twice a day leading up to Christmas. When my husband went to pick up the bikes, they were so professional!!! He said the store was great and the guys were working so hard. I can't tell you how impressed I was with the store and the guys working there-i would highly recommend them to anyone and they sure have my business!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED I met Charlie, the owner on a random stop through town, a friend wanted to show me the local shop as I was from out of town. They had a bike in stock and in my size, I ride big frames so this is unusual for me to find. After leaving the shop I spoke with Charlie on the phone and decided to purchase the bike and have it shipped. Not only was his price more then fair but he treated me like an old friend. As someone who has been in the industry and a lowly customer I will comment on a previous review that was poor. First of all a local bike shop has overhead, rent, employees etc. any time I see someone expecting anything Free I wonder if they expect restaurants to let them bring THIER steak and use the restaurants grill at no charge? Even loaning out tools is against good business, a shop is there to provide service, this service will cost something. If you want it free you should go to school, spend 20 years in the business and fix it yourself. I would also say, overcharge? compared to what? online? many online retailers are able to push so much volume that they can sell it to the public for LESS than a shop can buy it wholesale. GO and get your bike fixed at BCB, buy your next (insert bike thing here) and KNOW that if you pay a little more it is supporting a real family, real employees that are there to help and a nice location for you to browse in. Place is awesome. Spent a lot of time and thought into what bikes to get and Charlie helped align everything for me. I started not knowing anything about riding or style or frame, Anything! We needed two bikes and a baby seat and he helped me pick the perfect bikes. My wife wanted more of a cruiser but could keep up with my road cycle. The order process was simple. Although both bikes were special order they only took about a week to get in which wasn't a big deal we were just super excited and impatient haha Now having the bike for a week I out close to sixty miles on it and got my first flat, took the tire in and he replaced the tube on the spot no questions asked for free and took only five minutes. Customer service is awesome, experience and advice is top notch. And to go even further my parents bought there bikes some 13-14 years ago and still get excellent service from them, and the bikes still work really well. Downfall, stores dated and could use an interior designer to make it more pro looking but I'm sure that's not a cheap investment. As well the website doesn't do justice to the quality. Make sure you talk to a sales guy, the tech was the first person I talked to while Charlie was with another customer and he's and excellent person and tech but he told me about each bike vs sales person telling what would be best. Not a bad thing just that's the difference between the two :) read more

If I can give more than 5 stars I would! This place is beyond amazing. I love supporting local businesses, Charlie (owner) was there to greet me my first time arriving at their bike shop, he asked me very thorough questions, what I was looking for, my budget, and suggested some bikes that might fit with what I was looking for. He told me to try the bikes out right outside of their shop for as long as I want. I ended up with a beautiful Fuji bike. They are so knowledgeable there! Unlike some bigger retail stores they really love their jobs and really know what they are talking about. About a week after, I found that my needs were not met with the bike I bought. I wanted more speed and a lighter weight bike. So I came back to the shop and Joe greeted me. From start to finish Joe was excellent and was so helpful for helping me find a bike that suits my needs. Charlie the owner was super understanding and honored an exchange, my new bike was a little cheaper than the first one so they added all the accessories/tools that I needed so it matched the price I paid for before. As per their policy they allow exchange/store credit but no refunds which is very clear before you purchase anything from their store. I was so grateful they aren't people who just want to make a buck, but truly care for the community and their customers. Lifelong customer here :) I highly suggest going there. Their prices are great but what's priceless is the smiles and amazing customer service they provide. read more

Oh my goodness. Please I'm warning anyone Do not purchase a bike from this company I don't want you to go through what I went through! I ordered a bike March of 2021 from Burlington county bikes. They told me the bike would be in in June... Then they pushed it to July... Then they pushed it to October finally in February 2022 I called to cancel the order. They said a shipment came in that same day and my bike would be ready the next. I told them that I couldn't come get it I could get it a year ago but I couldn't come to New Jersey since I live in Virginia! They refused to refund me my money. What they did is they took all the money from orders during covid and they began getting shipments of bikes in and made all of us wait while they were collecting funds and selling their shipments to new buyers! These people are crooks! They're not BBB accredited. Please be careful! I would never want anyone to go through the hell I went through with them. They're refusing to refund me my money and I'm a single mom. I'm going to call the local newspaper this week. Please buyers be careful! read more

I bought a bike there and rode it for the first time the pedal fell off the crank so bring it there and they fix it and then I can take the bike out again and the same pedal fell off the crank they basically sold me a lemon. I take the bike back demanding my money back and the guy says we don't do refunds and I can fix this today and I said that the same thing the other guy said and still broke. So now I'm stuck with trying to sell a gift card to place that I would not step foot in. read more
