This place is very packed full of clothes and shoes. There just might be too much to choose from and it is not that easy to navigate through the crowded aisles. I hope it survives these hard economic times. The prices are very low indeed. I just feel so claustrophobic that it is hard to look for something I like. read more

They have recently begun to make more of an effort to clean up and declutter the store, which is very appreciated. Before, it was a hot mess full of way too many items jammed haphazardly onto racks and displays. Now they have attempted to tame the beast and it is really cleaning up nicely. I was there just the other day and they had very nice items. I always come out of Burlington a happy camper, and my wallet is happy too. PS - If you're an overgrown child like me, they have the best Hello Kitty pajamas ever. read more

One of my dirty little secrets of retail (and trust me, I have many) is shopping here. Don't get me wrong, I've stepped environments that border on hazardous in the name of fashion (American Place.) But Burlington is unique in its ability to cluster#### eight different styles and colors of clothing on a single rack. (Needless to say size is a free for all.) There is of course, the ghetto fabulous clothing that I usually walk past, followed by the sports jackets, coats and button down shirts, which are serious bargains. Then we come to the casual section, which occasionally has great labels. But getting to it feels like taking a dive into a textile mill. While you're in the deep end, get a friend to wait on line for you, because the cashiers move at a snails pace. (whisper)The MJM downstairs is one of the best kept secrets on this side of Queens. They have organized the store quite so in the last few months. Hunting for a steal is more efficient because the layout makes sense now, with bags near the accessories on the first floor, across from the women's clothing. The line for checking out items of course gets crazy when there lots of shoppers. But hey it's Burlington; an improvement as simple as switching up their layout has resulted in a tremendously better shopping experience. I come here often and was just there today and purchased a throw blanket, 2 sets of sheets, and a loaf pan. They don't have the best assortment of things but I have gotten lucky. I find a lot of things for my son more than myself. read more

Always always slow. I used to come here every other weekend but stopped because they are very slow at the registers. Now I placed some items on lay away and been standing for more than 20 minutes waiting for someone to come and tend to us. Even inquired a few times as to where are the workers for lay away and nothing. Alot of these stores do work slow but I think this location takes the cake. And when you go to the home decor section, the majority of items they have for sale are damaged. But I will say they have gotten better from a few years ago. Still some much needed work. read more

This has to be the worst burlington store nation wide!!! 1) The cashiers are super slow, unorganized, imcompetent and inadequate. Cashier Matilde and the young black lady works next to her acting like middle school kids with no mental capacity. They dropped a customer's yoga mat into the shopping bag without scanning it. Then they blamed the customer for stealing. Two biggest morons there. 2) Store was unbelievably messy. Items were all over the place. Nobody were cleaning up. Bathroom was really disgusting. Art section was always left unmaintained. Customers couldn't even walk among the aisles. 3) No floor helpers? Couldn't find ONE single helper on the floor. 4) Women working in the fitting room are always rude. They yell at the customers. 5) A mixed couple shameless cut the line. I would give O stars if I could . I decided to stop by and look around. I ended up finding a few good items. There was no workers on the floor to ask if I needed any help. There was a long line and only 4 cashiers that were working so slow I almost left but I didn't want to leave without my good finds so I waited . The cashier was SO RUDE ! Her name is " Tamia " This girl really needs to find a new job because she looked so miserable she didn't even say have a nice day all she yelled was NEXT ! Are you kidding me ?! Good deals, but the employees are the worst. So rude and unknowledgeable.

I come here when I have to but try to avoid it as much as I can. There is usually a long line because the cashiers are slow and talking to eachother. The building is dinghy, there are often leaks and drips in the ceiling upstairs, kids toys are broken into with pcs stolen. They staff isn't very helpful. All in all its worth driving 10-15 mins away to TJ Maxx or into Garden City if you have the time. read more

If you go to any Burlington Coat Factory, they will most likely be just like this one minus the lines. You have to expect that a lot of stuff is damaged, so inspect before you buy, but it is so cheap, I can't even complain. You can find shirts for $2, where else can you find that? It is the next step up from a thrift store, I save tons of money shopping here. I gave 4 stars because I would be devastated if they shut down :( there's also nowhere else around really to shop for clothes locally. I do avoid this place at times because of those long lines but if you have some time to burn, go for it. read more

Where do I begin. I would first like to say that I absolutely love love love Burlington. My family and I have been dedicated shoppers for the past 8 years!!! I have worked in a retail and hospitality environment for over 5 years and I understand that at times things get hectic at times and there's a lot of stress when managing a high demand of customers in a short time frame. I'm completely understanding and patient and respectful with everyone especially employees and consumers because I know what it's like to be on both ends, behind and in front the register. Anyhow, not to mention I am currently 6 1/2 months pregnant. I live in Bellerose NY and I went to the Glen Oaks location near by with my family that was visiting from out of state. At 8pm I stood on a line that had approximately 20 people and out of the 11-12 registers that they have only 6 registers were open. I awaiting on this line for not less than 45 minutes!!! Talk about aching muscles. At this point Im highly upset. This was the 10th time in three months that I have encountered this problem. There wasn't even a manager/leader in sight to help the staff team out in this situation. Seeing how this is the closest location to me 5 months ago I even decided to make my baby registry at Burlington not only due to convenience but because like I said I just love the store in general but now Im beginning to contemplate that decision. I guess what I'm trying to get at is that I would honestly like to see some type of change especially at this location. I mean what's the point of a store having 12 registers and there are only 6 that are frequently used in a daily basis. This store needs a lot of work. I'm not usually one to leave a bad or highly unsatisfied review but at this point I'm just fed up. I will be reaching out to the corporate office soon. This place has a very bad customer service. Specially when the staff thinks u r Indian they r super rude,not only that they are not friendly and not helping.people near the fitting room have no manners of talking to people. This is not the first time I had bad experience here. They should hire people who are professional not just there for pay check and b nice when the manager is around. read more

This store is hit and miss. Sometimes you can find what you are looking for but the next day the item might not be there. What I find really interesting is when you look in the men's underwear section there are many packages where somebody has shoplifted individual briefs out of a package. For example there's a package of four but one or two have been removed. How desperate are some people that they need to shoplift a pair of underwear? read more
