You are greeted as you walk in the door. There is plenty of parking in front of the store. There is a ton of inventory. It seems a bit overwhelming initially. It is well organized but could use a deep organization session. They have hygiene items, home decor, some electronics on top of all of the clothes they have for sale. Men's, women's, kids, babies. On January 8, I was in the store shopping on my mobility cart, around the corner from the registers. I went to open this box just to look at the fabric of a sweater inside and just Karen has the nerve to walk up to me and say Miss you're not allowed to open the boxes. Now all over the store,, the floor merchandise on the floor, long lines to check out, and she has the nerve to complain about me opening one box!!! This is the most poorly run store in Kenner and it's been that way for a while . Well after I got in there, and then I remembered why I stopped coming in there. Meanwhile, there was a merchandise alarm blaring somewhere in the store, and by the time I left there, it was still blaring. I would've think she would've done something more constructed with her time, but I believe it wasn't about the merchandise. She just decided to be a Karen at the moment. I'm just waiting to meet another one. I'm gonna have something for them. Like a get out of my face and go do your job. This store sometimes has bargains. If you can find them you have to look really careful and sift through all the junk and trash that's laying around. There was one young African-American cashier that was pretty friendly as I was also trying to find an iPhone case. They were across from the registers. She told me she would wait to check out my items until I found the right case, but I told her I did not want to hold up the line because by the time I got through the line, it had gotten to be a long line. read more

traveling from seattle stopped on and this was terrible, clothes on the floor, store trashed you could not find an employee to help, a guy beating up his child in the store no security to stop, only 2 cashiers with over 30 people in line, the relief cashier was leisurely walking uo on her phone with 0 sense of urgency to help!! I went here on a Monday morning when they just opened. So I didn't experience a crowd or long lines. It was actually pretty empty. I went in there to find a dress for upcoming job interviews. All parts of the store are labeled and there were employees organizing the racks. There was a decent dress selection, not too many options. I gravitated toward the Calvin Klein dresses which were so comfortable and deeply discounted. I also wounded up getting a blazer. The dressing rooms were unlocked so it was easy to go back a forth grabbing dresses. Overall it definitely got the job done. I would for sure go back if I needed more business wear. read more

I'm a local so I will give you all the tea on this place NEVER. SHOP HERE. unless it's an absolute last option. This place has nooooooo organization. I couldn't even think straight. I even found a shirt with what looked like POO. I'm not even exaggerating. It was probably someone kids tht put chocolate on a shirt but still disgusting. Prices aren't too bad you could find a nice shirt on sale for $3 but the absolute worst part is The line. I waited 40 effing minutes to check out. This location is currently under some sort of re-do, but every new change I saw makes it worse than it was before. The racks are still a mess. The options are pretty limited. Today I was hunting for a sundress and some flip-flops and was sadly disappointed by the selection and the options. I found some sandals that didn't have a price on them. When I asked the person working that section for help, they started looking for a matching pair on the same aisle. I had to say, "No, I did that already and couldn't find a matching pair with a price, that's why I asked you for help." I agree with Tamara....TRIFLING! read more

I Used to shop at this place all the time. It is February 2021 and they have the dressing rooms closed so you can't try on the clothing. So we went by the mirrors and tried it on there. Someone from loss prevention came out of their office to tell us that we couldn't try on clothes because of Covid. They weren't stopping everyone, they were cherry picking who they were gonna talk to. They also had a small child riding around the store on a scooter. I don't see them staying in business any longer. Yeah but you don't have to worry about anybody catching Covid by trying on clothes. read more

If you go to Burlington, take a gps and a flare gun. Tie yourself to you traveling companion. This place is a disaster area, just a mess. You cant find anything. First of all the people that shop here all seem just ugh. Most of them are yelling across the store in a language that isn't English. Most of the staff does the same. I was looking at some shoes, and the woman working in that department kept scowling at me, and kept picking up the boxes of the shoes I had by my feet. (I was buying those thank you!) The people at the register seem robotic, beat down and miserable. Occasionally you will run across a new employee who is helpful, but the job beats that out of them quickly. I think smiles are not allowed there. The store is huge, with aisles of clearance GARBAGE. My husband and I shopped for a couple hours to kill time, and found nothing to buy. The lines are long, and you can never find what you are looking for whether it is people or clothes. Last time I was in there, I didn't see a single coat. Got there right as they opened at 9:30am. The majority of the parking spaces closest to the entrance were already taken; so clearly they allow their employees to park in the closest spaces. Not a great practice. Once in the store, I felt like I was in an oversized thrift store. Maybe even a garage sale in certain areas of the store. Very scarce shelves with random items scattered about trying to fill in the overabundance of shelf space. I don't think I'll be back. Not my thing. read more

Ugh. Burlington. I actually like going here if I need to waste some time at lunch, since it's nearby. Not because I actually purchase anything, but because I like people watching. This place is great for that. As others have mentioned, grumpy, mostly unhappy workers, interesting customers, and a whole selection of clothing, housewares, and other random merchandise that wasn't worthy of making it to the K-Mart racks. You know how at TJ Maxx you can actually find name brand stuff for cheap prices? Yeah... I don't know that I've ever heard of 99% of the brands on the racks at Burlington. Like Andrea noted, a lot of it is damaged, flawed, or really, really hideous. Plus, the store is constantly a disorganized mess. I guess it could be like a treasure hunt, if you had 5+ hours to scour every inch of the store, hoping to find the 1 awesome deal on a must-have piece of merchandise. It's probably not worthwhile, though. Really, this place is kind of like a huge Big Lots, but with angrier salespeople. If you want entertainment, but don't want to see a movie, visit Burlington! If you want to purchase decent merchandise at low prices, try one of the other national discount stores. read more

I would love to give this store a 5 star rating; however, the lengthy wait in line to pay for merchandise and the lackadaisical attitude of the employees with regard to said wait time prevents me from doing so. I have NEVER gone in this store and not spent $80.00; I ALWAYS find what I am looking for and then some. Again, it is the ridiculous amount of time that I spend in the check out line that keeps me at bay most days when deciding where to shop. My time is even more valuable than my money and if I am willing to spend it with your establishment I expect you to respect that and move with some purpose and speed. Unlike some people in this thread, I am less concerned with the behavior and native language of those shopping around me, and more concerned with the actual service I receive from the people to whom I am giving my time and money. read more

I try and I try with this place, but it is TRIFLING just the same. The parking lot bugs me because there are huge holes everywhere so I end up parking in BFE, then I finally get in there. They have good looking stuff, but I usually can find only one or two of everything and never in my size- either it's a size 18 or a size 2. Now, here is the part that really bugs me.. does anyone ever organize the stuffi in there? Stuff all over the floor, all over the racks, hanging over stuff, moved here and there- shopping there makes my head spin and I leave with a headache. I have noticed recently that it is also kind of unsafe in parking lot and guys will try to pick you up. There are always screaming kids running around the store. The main issue I have here is that most things are so unorganized that it takes forever to find something and the checkout is ridiculous. This is great place if you like to wait in long lines with slow workers. Then when you walk our the alarm goes off and you have to go back and take the security device off. They have a good selection of clothes. I recently visited Burlington's and spent about $350 on clothes. I wore them once, then washed them afterwards according to the label, only to find out that they ALL shrunk and I no longer can wear them. Very disappointing seeming that I thought I had found some great looking shirts but now could only wear them once. I wish they would get better quality clothes that doesn't shrink when washed. I will be contacting headquarter's because I wasted money on clothes I could only wear once. Not fair. read more

I read the reviews about the store and figured, if they were true, I would just walk as far as the door and then leave. But they must have corrected the problems. The store was very clean and well organized. I didn't see any evidence as complained about in the previous reviews. A sales clerk named Denise was very helpful and polite. The only problem I encountered that was mentioned in the reviews was that the checkout line was a bit long but moved steadily. read more
