But when the employees blatantly walk at you, without moving, through the middle of an aisle, intentionally disrespecting and trying to somehow flex, it's laughable yet gross. Work on your employees Sam's Club if you have such a nasty people working for you it reflects on your store poorly. I'm at the pump and every single pump is occupied, there's a parking lot full of men and as a woman I can clearly see you have not considered my safety as a customer. Yall make way too much money off of us not to have a timer set to turn the lights off AFTER CLOSE. Your parent company, Walmart, is one of the richest companies on the planet and the CEO makes almost $100 million a year. First, I got gas. This Sam's is not as busy as some for gas but the parking lot around the gas is abysmal so there's a definite trade-off. Then I went inside. I was going in for two, COUNT THEM TWO THINGS, but left with more. I definitely got good deals. The store was clean and stocked well. I like the scan and go. All-in-all, it was a pleasant (albeit expensive) experience. read more

I was checking out with a six-pack of beer and the self-check wouldn't let me complete the transaction. A male with dark hair and a beard came over demanding ID. I questioned the wisdom of that since I'm 76 years old and obviously am old enough to buy. He became arrogant, rude, and defensive. Basically implied we should leave and never return despite having shopped at that store since 1990. Amazon Prime, here we come! Further, we watched people eating from containers in the produce department and closing the containers back after they had eaten. Gross. read more

This really isn't that different from every other Sam's Club in the country, but I always love visiting Sam's in other states because most of them carry special regional products (making it a fun a different shopping experience). You must have your Sam's membership card to enter and make purchases, however. I love food souvenirs and this is the place to come to buy them! We brought home a huge one pound bag of locally made Zapp's Voodoo flavor potato chips for $5 and a giant package of Louisiana Community Coffee for less than $10. At tourists shops in the French Quarter, little sampler packs of Community Coffee cost just as much! This Sam's also carries tons of LSU branded merchandise, from napkins to sweatshirts to a crock pot (seriously). They have a bunch of self checkout machines but the lines move even more slowly than the regular cashier manned lines because people get confused and can't figure out how to work the scanner, pay, etc. You are better off just lining up at a real register. Most tourists don't think of shopping places like this but you can get really special foodie gifts to take home. Best of all, it's consumable and not a waste of space like a junky magnet or shot glass. read more

I am a frequent shopper at sams club, I buy many of the vegetables and fruits along with other staples at this location. One thing I am super grateful for is the scan and go feature. I used this feature pre-covid-19 but it is super helpful during this pandemic. My tip? Put your phone in a plastic baggy if you are doing scan and go. That way you don't have to wipe down the phone with harsh chemicals and you won't accidentally touch your face with the phone. My favorite tip? If you are over 21 you can buy booze with the scan and go at sams. Yup you heard me right! All you have to do is input your birthday into the app, then when you go to pay your barcode will be red (instead of black) and you show the employee at the exit your id. This is one of the most convenient ways to buy booze during a pandemic (or during real life) read more

Everyone was so nice! Store was clean & safe. Lines were long and then very quickly the lines were efficiently cleared. Same high quality of products as Sam's on Airline but I was looking for an Optometrist & heard there was one at the Sam's on Loyola. He was unavailable for an appointment but I shopped anyway & found everything I needed. Gas tanks are very well placed so even though there were a lot of customers for gas we were able to get through quickly. It might be easier to get to this Sam's from W. Esplanade because of the road construction off of Veterans. Parking is adequate (Sam's has generous parking spaces) and safe. Employees were available and helpful. Highly recommend. read more

I've been doing curbside pickup orders here since the pandemic started. Each time, my order has been ready ahead of the scheduled time (sometimes up to a day early). Upon arrival, you can either text or check-in through the app and the items are usually delivered a few minutes later. The staff loads the items in your car, so it's a really quick and easy process. With that said, I would avoid purchasing produce through this method. I once ordered a bag of lemons and they were bad. I could only use 3 out of the entire bag. Lesson learned lol! read more

The ladies at the front door know what they are talking about and familiar with the store layout. This was most helpful as I was running to catch a flight and haven't been in this location since 2002. At any rate, they don't offer the cooling foil looking bags any more but they have a true blue $5.98 insulated bag that was big enough to hold three (3) of those small foil like insulated bags that I picked up at Rouses. All things considered - it's Sam's. Oh the Food Court lady is slow as molasses but polite. They offer chili for the hot dog here. Self Service check outs must remain as a mainstay which makes my Sam's shopping that much better over Costco. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I found myself with a flat tire a mile from Sams. I call them and specify both the make, model and year of my vehicle and the tire size to ensure they have it. Once confirmed, I had a tow truck tow me there, it drops me and leaves. I go inside, find the tire and find an employee to get them on my car. I'm told that since I put on a 16" rim, they won't touch my car. I showed them the receipt for the previous set of tires which were put on by a Sams club. No joy, I'm stuck in the parking lot with a blown tire and absolutely zero help from sams. Long story short, Sams Club can suck a big fat one. F.U. read more

Will never use Sam's for photo printing again. Have to drive all the way to Kenner (the one on airline is far closer) only to get here and stand waiting for a half hour to get photos. Ordering to my house is equally inconvenient. This last time I had someone paged to pull my photos, and no one showed so I had to wait for the associate to come off her lunch break and then ignore me because the phone was also ringing off the hook. This is your typical Sam's club, which if you've ever been to one, then you pretty much know what to expect. Sam's has come out with a game changer though, and if you haven't already done so, you need to download the Sam's Scan and Go app. It allows you to setup up your payment method and scan items and pay right on your phone! No more waiting in crazy checkout lines behind someone with 200 items when you only came to get some eggs! When exiting the store, you show your phone to the door person and they will scan it, sending you on your way. read more

This is the Wal-Mart of bulk products, and that's exactly the same type of experience you will have here. This place is a travesty. The floors are always sticky, because of god knows what. The products they carry are just not that impressive for the most part...only thing they have better than Costco is cheese. The customer service is what sends it over the edge. Everyone here looks miserable. A cashier rang me up twice for an item. When I told her it didn't sound right and asked her to cancel it, she said it already went through. When the manager was notified, she let out a loud moan in my face and said it would take a while. I was then told it couldn't be done and had to go wait in the long customer service line. I wish I could say this is the first time, but it's not. Goodbye Sam'. I will gladly take my business to New Orleans instead of dealing with your B.S. read more

This store is the reason I will not be shopping at Sam's Club too much. Maybe online or another store but not this Kenner store. Their customer service is a joke! The do nothing but give you the run around and I will never use that order and pickup at the store again. They cut up, play, talk, everything to avoid waiting on people and the line just grows and grows and they really don' t care - they move in slow motion and they are very rude. Sam's Club use to be my favorite place to shop but now the quality of stuff has dropped and the service is very bad! Normally I have no problems though with the check out girls are the stocking men in the freezer section - they are polite and accommodating but those women in customer Service can really run a person off. I think that all Sam's Club's are torturous and stressful to go to but this one is not as bad as the rest. I find at this location there are more WORKING cashiers checking people out at a steady pace and keeping the lines short. They also have a butcher that pays attention to customers if they need assistance. The produce is always great, never disappointing, and the selection of products, both seasonal and food items, is pretty big. Overall, I like it. I go out of my way and pass up 2 other Sam's to go to this one. read more

This is a review for the company I Order for. Fax and pull customer here. We fax in an order, they are suppose to pull the items and we pick it up. This way of ordering doesn't work for them. They never know who to send the call to, They never get the orders, lie when I call and ask if they've gotten my orders and say they'll be ready. We show up and it's never ready or they supposedly haven't received the order...even though I called earlier in the day to make sure my order would be ready. Horrible customer service. These people obviously don't care about making their customers feel important. We usually place about $1300/month orders. They can say goodbye to at least $15,600/year. They have lost out on that. We will take our business elsewhere because of the lack of service. We will drive the additional 15 minutes to the next Sam's Club or Costco. We are loyal customers when we find a good company to work with. We know how business works, and this is not how it's suppose to be. We have been in business over 30 years. They may have more items marked down too, but these are all the unadvertised sales I found. I would hurry before it's all gone! They also have lots of monthly deals going on with big savings.
