This is by far the worst dealership I've ever dealt with in my life... hmm let me see, where do I begin... well my nightmare started On February 12th 2014 when I walked in just to inquire about an 08 Mitsubishi Lancer they had there, the salesman I dealt with was very polite which kinda drew me in because I'm thinking he must really care and wants me to be happy, I told him the max payment that I could afford would be no more than $200 a month, when I asked to see the car he said that the car was over at the detail shop and I would have to wait at least 45 mins before it would be ready. (Come to find out later on that it wasn't in the detail shop, it was actually in the repair shop being rushed on last minute repairs so that they could sell me on it) I found that out when I asked for the service reports on the vehicle later on. Well anyway, I finally got to test drive the vehicle after waiting like 2 hours, I couldn't really listen to the engine because of the salesman talking to me from the back seat and I couldn't even look at the engine because by this time it was real dark out. Well they told me my payments were going to be $316.00 a month ($116.00 over what I said my limit was) At this point, we had been at the dealership for over 3 hours and we were both exhausted and I went against my better judgement and decided to take the car. After driving off the lot I had no idea that I was heading into a nightmare. Well after having the car for exactly 12 days I was driving the car and noticed it was low on fuel so I pulled over to a gas station to get gas and after getting gas I noticed that the oil light was lit on my dash, so I lifted the hood and checked the oil and saw that there was absolutely no oil in the car, that the oil was actually burnt onto the dipstick, so I went in the gas station to see if they sold my oil and they didn't. I knew that there was a Walmart down the road. At this point I was scared to drive the car so I had my boyfriend pick me up and take me to Walmart to get the oil, when we got back I put like 4 1/2 quarts in thinking that would solve the problem, well it didn't. As I drove off I got about 3 miles away from the gas station and heard my engine running really rough and every time I would slow down or come to a stop the car was stall out and shut off, so I would have to put the car in park then turn off the engine and re start it and a couple feet down the road it would do it again. So finally I made it to an AutoZone because by this point I knew that something was really wrong and now the Check engine light was on. At this point, the car could not be driven because as soon as I turned it on, it would immediately shut off. So I called the dealership and spoke to the salesman who sold me the car and told him everything that was going on and he told me that the service department went home for the day and that I would have to call them in the morning. So thank God, I had roadside assistance on my insurance and was able to call for a tow truck to get it towed from the AutoZone to my house. So the next day I contacted Burlington Kia and spoke to Jarrod in the service department and told him what happened and he said he was going to send over a tow truck to bring it back to their dealership. After the car got back to the dealership, they said they were going to look it over and they would get back to me. (Now remember, I had a FULL warranty on this car) Later on that day I called the dealership and asked them if they could give me some type of loaner car while they worked on my car and they told me yes to come on over and they would give me one. Well the next day, I get a call from Burlington Kia saying they looked at my car and noticed that the bolt to my oil pan underneath the car was missing so therefore they could not honor my warranty or replace the engine and that I had to return the loaner car immediately. Well of course, Im extremely upset and mad, so I didn't return the loaner because I needed a car to get to work. So I got harrassing phone calls everyday from Burlington Kia telling me I needed to return the loaner or they were going to call the cops on me. So I finally returned the loaner and asked to speak to a mgr which was Elvin Colon and asked him what my options were and he said I should claim vandalism through my insurance, which is insurance fraud because my car was not vandalized, they just didn't want to admit that one of their service guys made a mistake changing my oil. They did not want to help me at all, they refused to give me a loaner so I sat over a month with no car. So Elvin said another option would be that he could trade me out into a similiar car which sounded reasonable, well thats not what happened. He wound up sticking me in a 4 yr lease with a 2014 Kia Optima with payments of $411 a month and not to mention they stuck the whole car in my boyfriends name. This dealership is so unprofessional all they know how to do is scam people. Buyers Beware! read more
