Anyone looking to have their car serviced at this dealership should proceed with caution. Based on my experience, this place either employs extremely negligent mechanics or operates in a way that feels intentionally deceptive. I brought my car in because I heard a noise coming from the brakes every time I tapped them. I specifically asked my service advisor to have the technician thoroughly inspect the brakes to make sure the vehicle was safe, especially because I travel long distances for work. Instead, I was charged nearly $900 for spark plugs, an oil change, air filters, a belt replacement, and a wheel alignment -- yet the original brake noise was never addressed. In fact, I didn't even make it off the lot before noticing the exact same issue. When I brought it up immediately, I was told the technician "didn't hear anything." To make matters worse, after charging me all that money, they then asked me to leave the car again so they could investigate whether there were "additional problems," despite supposedly completing a full diagnostic inspection already. Unfortunately, this isn't the first experience my family has had with them. The same thing happened to my mother. She brought her vehicle in for a specific issue, was told that service wasn't necessary, then was sold additional repairs -- only to later be told the original issue still needed to be fixed, resulting in another $5,000 in charges. Middle-class families work too hard to be taken advantage of by businesses we trust to keep our vehicles safe and reliable. This was my 3rd time I took my vehicle for regular service . This is the first time that I did not leave happy . The vehicle itself seems to be serviced properly but it was the customer service that I was not pleased with . I saw my vehicle sitting in the done position /lane for 30 minutes before checking the text message follow for my vehicle link they sent me . It still stated that my vehicle was just entered into service . I finally had to walk back to the service center office to ask if my vehicle was done . The attendant then told me yes it was done and brought up my paperwork . When I arrived, I did not not where to go, so I drove into the open service bay. No one was there, so I parked my car and tentatively walked inside. Terrible experience at Liberty Toyota Burlington, NJ On August 20th, we purchased a Toyota Camry. During the process, my husband asked a simple question about how many times the credit would be run. At that moment, Rodney Bohler (the Used Car Manager, who was not even involved in our transaction) rudely interrupted and answered in a very arrogant and disrespectful way, saying the credit would be run "as many times as needed." Completely unprofessional. On August 23rd, we returned with the intention of buying a second brand-new vehicle (Highlander 2025), trading in our Nissan 2020. Again, Rodney unnecessarily inserted himself into the negotiation. He first offered $15,000 for the trade-in only if we took a vehicle from current inventory that same day. Since the Highlander we wanted was still in transit, he dropped the offer to $12,000. Later, after the salesman Milton (who was polite and professional throughout) tried to mediate, Rodney raised the offer to $13,500. When my husband declined, Rodney rudely said "no deal" and then sarcastically lowered the offer again to $12,000. To make things worse, Rodney never came to apologize directly--he sent the salesman to apologize on his behalf. That shows a complete lack of professionalism and customer respect. We had already experienced discrimination at this dealership back in 2018, and unfortunately, nothing seems to have changed. Recommendation: Do not waste your time at Liberty Toyota Burlington, NJ. Service department here is no good. Went here for a hitch and I thought a bike rack. Was told one day job. Received a phone call at 4pm (on day it should have been done) saying I could come the next day and pick it up. After pleading my case that I need a vehicle for work they reluctantly gave me a loaner. When I picked up my car there was no bike rack and I was told that wasn't included. Note my quote was over the phone. But the real kick is what a bad job they did. Look at the pic they cut to much on the left side and It's not secured or anything. I called about the paint on the roof of my Tacoma, the clear coat is suddenly deteriorating. I called Toyota, they suggested going to the dealership. I called Liberty and was told they might be able to repair it, and bring it in. So I made the trip out there to have it looked at and an oil change. I have had the opportunity to buy a lot of new cars in my life--well over a dozen. And while I've had some good experiences, most of them have been a hassle and some downright awful (I'm looking at you, Lucas Dodge) with negotiating pricing, options you don't want (nitrogen in my tires? really??), dealer add-ons and fees and high-pressure sales pitches from salespeople, sales managers and finance teams for extended warranties, tire protection, etc. By far the easiest buying experience I've had has been with Liberty Toyota and specifically our salesperson Milton Ortiz. I cannot say enough about how well we were treated and how painless Milton and his team made buying the new car. When my wife and I decided to replace our 2012 Ford Explorer with something newer, we started looking at Toyota Grand Highlanders and ended up just going to look at Liberty Toyota randomly one night because it looked like they had a color my wife liked with the options she wanted. We were introduced to Milton who asked what we were looking for, showed us the same car in a different color because the one we wanted was on order and quickly worked with his manager to get us to the price point we were hoping to get to and we put a deposit down for the one we wanted--we just picked up the car this week. Milton is a down to earth guy who we immediately liked--listened to us, was patient (especially during the process with me and my never-ending questions from the build at the factory to delivery) and we really enjoyed working with. No games, no headaches and delivered on everything he promised us. Easy, laid-back approach, easy to work with their finance person, Lydiann, and super friendly guys getting the car ready for delivery. 0 stars if I could. Mom took her 2011 Camry LE 4cyl there for an OIL CHANGE only yesterday. Her car did not leak at all but the writer convinced her to let them check the car. They got her for power steering hoses and lines that weren't needed since they didn't leak, Fuel injection cleaning - never put that snake oil through your engine. Throttle body cleaning which the intake hose doesn't even look like anybody touched it, so I wonder if that was even done, drive belts which weren't requested, and she was told her radiator was leaking, which hasn't leaked up to this point. Now her car leaks and I'm ordering a radiator for it today since they want to charge over $800 for the job and money doesn't grow on trees. She will never have her car serviced there again. read more

So I recently purchased a brand new 2025 Camry XSE from a dealership in PA, due to significantly lower pricing through the Costco Auto program. That said I live in NJ and will need a dealer closer by for servicing and warranty issues. I reached out to Liberty Toyota in Burlington Twp. NJ due to relatively high ratings I saw online for service. My new Camry, only having 3.3K miles on it, developed a rattle in the top console where the sunroof controls are that I needed Toyota to resolve through my new car warranty. Knowing thy will likely need more than an hour to diagnose exactly what's causing the rattle, I asked for an appointment on a day when a loaner would be available. I was initially told it would be the following month when one would be available for me, in which I said no problem, It wasn't critical and could wait until a day when they would have a rental/loaner available and I scheduled for that day. Weeks later I get a call saying they would need a $199 retainer for diagnosing the issue and only after determining it was a warranty covered issue would the "rental" be covered. This is a brand new XSE model, the highest end Camry you can buy and they question if it would be a warranty covered issue with a rattling overhead console??? I asked if a service manager would be able to call me back to discuss, and was told by the scheduler (Debbie) that the service manager (Lawrence) was off until the next day, but request he call me back then. A week passes and still no call. I call again and speak with a random service advisor (forgot to ask his name) and he says the appointment I originally had on the 14th, disappeared, but took my info and said no problem reinstating the appointment and should not be a problem getting loaner for the likely warranty covered issue, but needed to double check with scheduler on availability. After putting me on hold to speak with the scheduler and service manager he came back with a very different demeanor and with a complete lack of reasoning for the denial just said they would not approve loaner until after they diagnose the issue in person - meaning wait at dealership for hours while they determine what's causing the rattle - what's the purpose of the loaner if I have to wait for the service??? Very dissatisfied with this dealership and decided to make an appointment at Holman Toyota which is closer to me anyway and they made me an appointment right away with a loaner and told me the loaner rental is fully paid by dealership while they diagnose the rattle and how to best resolve the issue. I will have this car for probably 8-10 yrs and will need servicing throughout - wouldn't it make sense not to make a clearly warranty covered issue a non-issue for a potential customer? I just don't get who runs these departments and the logic used to turn customers away as they do. Maybe if I bought the car there they would respond differently - either way I felt it important to warn anyone looking for a Toyota dealership for servicing to avoid Liberty Toyota based on the very poor interactions I had with them in this instance. read more

I would like to say that my husband and I have purchased and leased vehicles from here before with absolutely zero problems! Our salesman Milt is amazing but the management especially in the finance department is a scamming joke! We are trying to buy out our lease on on vehicle which at first they gave as an outrageous interest rate plus added gap and a warranty. We told them to take off the gap and warranty and get us a good rate. After coming back with another dumb rate with both the gap and warranty included I asked to see the call sheet for our real bank approved interest rate since dealerships can add like 2%. We were told we couldn't but magically the rate went down again with the warranty. We said deal take off the warranty. We get into finance and the woman tells us we have to have a warranty per Toyota financing! BULLSHIT. Anyway we leave and get approved fr police and fire credit union at A 6.49%. Call them to get a purchase order which we get and then get told they won't do it because we have to have the warranty. This is all from their finance woman! Straight up lie! She told us if we came with a check we could buy without the warranty but I guess since they aren't making money they want to play games. Anyway we are going to Toyota of Runnemede instead where we were informed by the manager that there is NO WATRANTY NEEDED!!! The sales person was great but this service department is the f ing worse. First the didn't fully service my car they left out the fluids. Then when my car started over heating after having it ten months. When I brought it to them they said 1100 for a radiator. I fixed the problem myself for 35$. Then I said never again but I get free oil changes. So I took it again for a oil change and magically the car started shutting off for no dang reason. It seemed like every-time I took my car to get service by them they purposely break something else. How all these issues with a 2019 with low mileage. The service department sucks badly. This has to be the worst dealership I have ever been to for service.I made appt for check engine light&oil change. When I made this appt, I was told I could get a shuttle back to my house. I work from home, and didn't bring my laptop since I was told I would be getting shuttle. When I arrived,I told Jason the service advisor that I could not afford the cost of the diagnostic test for check engine light and to just do oil change and put air in tires. He was rude and condescending to me the moment I got there. He told me they won't be giving me a shuttle for just an oil change. I only live a few minutes down the road! I told him I had to work and didn't bring my laptop. I told him if I couldn't get a ride home, I had to leave. He was fine with losing my business! My financial situation is only temporary. I purchased my car here in April 2019- was approved on the spot, then two and a half weeks later was told I needed a co-signer because whomever did my application changed my monthly rent from 1800 to 900 monthly!! When I called about that the manager said, I just assumed it was split with someone. Excuse me??? First of all assuming something on documents like that is fraud. Secondly I still haven't received my registration or plates!! This is the second temp which is now expired. I text Steve and he said there was nothing he could do. I am so so so upset I had given this dealership my business! Side note, I go out of the country on Sunday and my car is sitting with expired plates!! Buyers BEWARE!!!! I have taken my car to the body reservice ever since I purchased it from them. There has not been a time that I have gone in for basic service that they try an up charge me or told me that there is a problem with my car. They supposedly do a full service check with an oriole change and of course they check off all the boxes that everything is fine or that they did specific things. I can tell you that my spare tire has never been checked and my windshield wiper fluid is never replaced no matter what the paperwork says. If you plan on waiting for your car be prepared they do not prioritize people waiting versus people dropping off the car! I continually tell them not to reset the oil filter light, but they always do! The most annoying thing is that they said it for every 5000 miles (tire rotation) then they reset it again for 5000 miles for the oil change. I have learned how to reset this light myself but is the pure annoyance that they do not follow directions. My latest trip to them was for an oil change and a recall. When I arrived there I was informed that they were only going to check to see if my car qualified for the recall or not. At that time I was told that parts would be ordered and they should be in on Tuesday. By Thursday I had not received a call so I called Toyota and was told that there were no parts on order for me. They checked with a service advisor and was told that my car did not need the recall. I find that very hard to believe so I will be taking it somewhere else and asking them to check it. I was also told during this visit that my right front strut had failed and was leaking all over the place. Another lie! I've driven long enough to know when shocks or struts are shot. They also said that my engine filter and cabin filter was so clogged up that they were going to have to clean my whole exhaust system. Another lie. They never checked the engine filter because there were no fingerprints or smudges on the pollen filled box. And the cabin filter was not checked because nothing was misplaced from my glove box. Before you take your car for service anywhere be very aware. What most mechanics fail to know is that on many of my parts I have put fingernail polish in an inconspicuous spots so that if they tell me that something needs to be changed and I ask them to show me, I know whether that was my part that actually came out of my car. I know far more than the average Non-mechanical person about cars. Don't tell me something is wrong with my car and then not be able to show it to me or reproduce the sound! read more
