Despite its nice location with plenty of parking spaces, not sure what happened to this Modesto Burlington?! Used to be nice and upscale looking when first opened up over 10 years ago! Huge warehouse it is with lots of varieties of everything when first started! Now, have no idea what happened?! Place is most of the time now messy looking. And not sure why about 35% of the warehouse from the back-end now becomes emptied with walls put up to block off the empty parts, while most everything squeezed to the front 65% portion of the warehouse. No longer like to come here like before because can pretty much find the same or similar things at Ross for a lower price. read more

The Cashiers always look so miserable working, went yesterday and the chubby cashier was just side eyeing my child with a serious face.

While the store in Riverbank is very nice, there is only 1 fitting room. 1 door 1 room. Probably won't be coming back here for clothing.

I had a return item and get in a terribly long line to do so. However, when I finally arrived to the register the manager Cesar was the one that assisted me and had a great smile on his face. I told him I was disappointed at first, but seeing him helping to get people out of there as fast as possible was great. He said he couldn't not help his team. That is the kind of leadership you want and want to see... Someone that leads, but also helps when needed. Thank you Cesar. I will be back! read more

I really don't understand why they always have 3 registers open when they clearly care about the lame ass security photos they take as soon as you walk through the door. It's really funny the last time I came here with a larger tote bag I was customer serviced twice because they clearly thought I was going to steal. But this time it seems that no employees were to be seen on the floor. What is the point of having nine cashier stations? If you're only going to have two slow people working cashier I waited for over 15 minutes in the line and not one person went through with only two cashiers working that is crazy. would recommend NOT going to this burlington and instead any of the other two in the area. this past time we went which was just a few days ago, we were being followed by the security all while we were looking through the store. it felt very embarrassing and made me and my mother feel bad. security didn't even try to play it off or be like he's not following us. he made it very clear just staring dumbly into a wall of cups. we had brought it up to the cashier and she said you know how it is. like yes to make paying customers feel like criminals while they're just doing some shopping on their day off?? together me and my mom spent over 100$ and when we got the feeling of being followed and targeted we didn't want to buy anything, only reason we did is bc we wouldn't have found these at the other ones!! anyways do NOT come here if you want to be followed by strange security men and made to feel like ur doing something wrong :) read more

I had great customer service today. The store it's self had very low inventory. The bathroom was very clean & open to the guest at the store. I also was able to find scrubs so that was a win! In my opinion it truly was not as bad as people say it is. read more

Sadly writing this ..this location used to have an awesome suit and dress shirt section..was convenient and well priced...now they have no suits just a bunch of knock off jackets and clothes with one register open ..hopefully they bring back the suit section someday read more

This is a huge store, with a wide variety of items here. They've got everything from clothes, to electronics, patio furniture, to luggage, glassware to pet supplies, and much more. They even have a fairly good sized big and tall department. All this at discount prices, I think of this place as Ross on steroids. Having said that you've got to have patience to shop here. The place of often on a state of disarray (although it was in fairly good order this morning) There are good deals to be had here, but you have to be willing to look through some odd looking items (especially in the clothing department, depending on taste) to find something you'd actually want. read more

The prices are really good if name brand matters to you. They had a pretty good selection of clothing, in a variety of sizes, my main complaint was the organization and tidiness of the store along with the very long line to check out. I happen to like DKNY and they had a lot of DKNY pieces including shoes. Another problem is missing parts to outfits example a dress without a belt etc. The way they have the front registers set up it's a bad idea due to covid and the need to social distance people are pretty piled up there. In summary good prices on name brand if that's important to you, kind of a chaotic store, and the checkout is a nightmare. read more

As liquidation stores go, this is the last one to visit. Prices seem higher than Ross or Marshall's but by volume, Burlington Coat Factory wins. As with so many other locations, you must visit weekly and be prepared to check every item in the area for what you want. Nothing is really organized, but it is there. It is definitely a do-it-yourself store. When I've dealt with other locations, employees are generally friendly. There wasn't enough stock, probably because of back-to-school shopping, to meet any employees with a purchase to make. read more

They get 1 star for me. Went on Jan. 6th 2019. Here is what I observed. Staff seem entitled to not be bothered when needing help/assistance/have questions. Extremely slow when checking customers out. Coats and shirts on the floor, not much clean up going on. And the kicker....No Veteran/Military discount. Obviously not troop friendly and not supportive. Maybe they should all be deployed with 5 round semi auto marble shooters instead?! In conclusion, I'd rather drive 1,000 miles to visit another store that takes more pride in itself, and its country's service personnel. read more

Burlington is a great place for prices! But in all honesty the employees look like they hate their job, lines are SUPER long when checking out. And another thing, manager/supervisors are always rude. - I called to ask a question if they have a certain baby item in stock before I drove here to buy the item and management kept rushing me and giving me horrible attitude. read more

If I could I would give this business 0 Zero Stars right now I am here in the store I have been in line waiting for over an hour there are Only 2 cashiers working in the front counter cashing out the customers, there is a big line right behind me like a snake, a lady that was in front of me, walked out of the line and said this was ridiculous. I have been here waiting all this time and I'm disabled. This is very sad that I have been waiting for over an hour in this line already my spouse is upset she wanted to leave already. this is the worst customer service I have seen ever in any store that I have been. Also when I was in line for the whole hour or more I cannot believe how the alarm at the door kept going off and on, you have a security officer there he does not even do his job. People are walking out with stuff he doesn't care he doesn't stop them, the alarm just kept going off and on off on off on, why have a security at all if he's not going to do his job.. why have cameras in the store is it just for show & tell?! Every 4-5 minutes the alarm to the entrance of the store and there's only one entrance to that store kept going off and on and their security & manager does nothing @ it to see what's happening or why it's going off or what's making it going off and people are walking out with backpacks but they don't bother to see what's making the alarm go off and I wanna say they can't say it's the two cashiers check it out customers because everybody standing in line waiting to be checked out so that's not the reason why those since the alarms are going off, there's no way in hell excuse my language but I'm sorry that's not tricking off the alarm!!!! this is a bad store to go shopping at shoppers. This store is always a hot mess. I NEVER come here because of it. Once in a blue moon maybe once every two years I will step in here looking for something I've looked everywhere for, and I never have any luck. Probably the worst Burlington I've been to. From the broken sign out front to the thrashed isles inside. They do not seem to care for their store. I've recently been to other Burlington's and they are clean and stocked, even after the holidays. The great plus about being here is the prices. Great deals and usually good products. The deals are good here for the most part but empty shelves and not much variety in clothing. Tons of wide open floor space, just a bad look for a department store. First of all, I appreciate the way the checkout is now, no more guessing which line will go quickest and then ending up in the slowest one. Second, no, it is not the most organized and things are mixed and on the floor. But I understand that customers mistreat the product and misplace it, not the employees. I love to come here for various of items. Like today which is August 4th 2017. I came here to buy some glasses a headband some jeans and some yoga pants. I also came here looking for water bottles and a long body pillow and comforter set for my bed. They didn't have a great selection of comforter sets for my bed size which is a twin. And they didn't have a great selection of body pillows either. So I'm kind of disappointed in that. However looking for water bottles with straws in it, they had a good selection but I think the prices were a little bit too high and the one that I wanted the designer made the straw backwards so I didn't buy it. I love catching the sales in the clearance so I definitely will always come back to this Burlington's. It's honestly the only one we got any way in Modesto LOL. read more

Meh. Every once in a great while, you can score a quality coat for cheap... but I'd rather hit Ross or TJ Maxx. If you see a pair of shoes you want there, go next store to MJM- they'll have it and it'll be cheaper. I was with my sister, she went to find her things while I was searching for dresses. The dressing room was closed, like OPEN THE DRESSING ROOMS ALREADY! My sister had the cart so I'd carried several dresses. They're remodeling, thus I was a bit lost as I was heading to the restrooms. I was searching for my sister and I see the miserable employee watching me as if I'm going to commit theft. Lady, you're wasting your time and life, especially working there haha. I know you're not being paid enough but I guess you felt jealous of my classy attire and decided to follow me. Ok, I hope many have stolen from under your nose as you watch the wrong people.
