The worst store ever is always a huge mess empty packages on shelfs from where people stole stuff. Looks more like a junk store. Just got out of surgery a couple weeks ago. Can't stand for long periods of time without feeling discomfort. I don't need a wheelchair but it is uncomfortable to stand. They don't have scooters or make any accommodations for when there are lines this huge. Staff was rude about my question regarding being put at the front of the line due to my current disability. Sorry for asking for too much. Didn't think it was that hard to ask one of the cashiers to assist me. Don't think anyone in line would be offended at me getting pushed at the front due to a disability. I only had ONE item I really needed to purchase. First off the place looks like the workers don't care and have no idea about cleaning up. This place is totally unorganized. If you like a place that is a mess this is definitely the place for you. The staff is very rude and has no regard for their customers. I was in line along with my wife and buying shoes for a wedding. Unfortunately one pair of the shoes didn't have a price tag on them. So the person at the register (Brian seemed to be a manager) calls back to the shoe department and asks the person there to look for the price of the shoes. No big deal however we were asked to step aside by the gentleman after we waited in line. The cashier starts taking other customers while we wait for the price check. Well if you have ever been to their shoe department you would know that we would have been there all day waiting for the person to find the same shoes. So I take it upon myself to go and find the same shoes beings how we seen another pair that were to big. Once I got back to the register with the pair of shoes Brian helped us. I let him know that I wasn't happy about being moved aside for a product of his that didn't have a price tag. Brian however had a very smart ass response that I took it upon myself to go and get the shoes since he had some one looking for them. Apparently Brian hasn't ever went to the shoe department and tried to find a pair of shoes. He (Brian) was so rude and had no customer service skills. I would definitely not recommend shopping at this store unless you like unorganized and rude employees. read more

I tried on about 10 coats and fell in love with a green bcbg coat I went to look at the price tag and noticed it was $99 I walked up to the register trying to find a coupon for my coat online thru my phone. Cashier Amanda waited patiently until I let her know I wasnt able to find one. Without question she rang me up and gave me $20 off my coat! WOW! I can't thank her enough. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. OK so things could be organized a little bit better, but the huge variety and consistency along with cheap prices if you look around their shop makes them a great company. The customer service for my experience was not nearly as bad as people are making it sound. I had no problems, and this was the only place that sold many different coats year-round. read more

Messy & dusty. It seems like they have raised their prices as well. I don't remember seeing a 30$ shirt for a non name brand before. Maybe its just me..? Wasn't sure what size I needed for a shirt and the lady looked at me and said you are this, then hands me a variety of shirts. They fit perfectly. There are only a few things in this world that really make me furious. A filthy restroom is definitely one of them. This is Burlington Coat Factory in Modesto. My wife said the woman's restroom was worse but it wasn't Target so I couldn't enter to find out for myself. I brought it to the attention of their employees but they were indignant and did not seem too interested in rectifying the unsanitary nightmare. There was no soap, no paper towels, trash/water/urine everywhere. I hope this shames them into cleaning better for their customers. read more

Happened to be in the area and stopped in here to look around. It's a bigger Burlington than others I've been to, and lots of name brands I wouldn't have expected. I found some Alex and Ani bracelets for $15, normally $40 at retail. They also have lots of home decor and outdoor furnishings, all really affordably priced. I wish I had more time to shop, will definitely have to come back. read more

This place is a ridiculous, overpriced mess. The only decent thing here is the fashion (not real) jewelry selection. Every time I tell myself I should give them a shot, I regret it. Last month. Went in looking for baby shower gift, but they don't even post most prices, an employee had to explain how to read the price codes on the boxes of strollers, incredibly idiotic way to merchandise. Once I did find the prices, I couldn't believe how expensive everything is. I found most of the items CHEAPER on Amazon (Which I ended up purchasing through) or just a few dollars cheaper than in a first rate store. I don't think they've quite grasped the whole discount concept. If prices are virtually the same, I'd rather just buy at Target or Babies R Us and have the warranty, etc. Total waste of time and money. The one saving grace of this store is the suit section for men. One extra star for that. read more

Horrible place. Long story short, we may have just lost 50 dollars here because they have no ID what happened to a balance of a gift card. To ad insult to injury, it took 20 minutes and 4 times just have the cashier and manager understand the situation. Will avoid this place as much as possible. read more

I absolutely LOVE this store. Great bargains for the whole family in every department. Great selection of clothes for everyone with awesome prices! Not only do they have great clothes, they have household goods too. There's a little something for everyone. My only complaint is the line is always long and they don't have enough employees working to help everyone. Even if you go in for just one item, you are stuck in the long line. Stopped in today 7/11/19 for maternity and baby items. Great selection of baby stuff. As I was checking out the manager on duty Brian made an announcement loudly to the line stating "if you have items you don't want bring them to the register" as he was throwing items left out of place into a basket. As I was being checked out Brian was on the register next to mine. I noticed him throwing around manager clip boards and rolling his eyes. My cashier seemed nervous and I watched him assist a family pay for their $200 layaway. I watched him scan what looked like a store credit card, the kind that would be issues without a receipt and slip it into the front pocket of his jeans. He seen me watch him and looked at me and said "how are you" Once I was finished I found my friend at another register paying and the workers had mentioned how hard it was to work with him and some days are very bad. This made me so sad to see since after working in retail for 11 years with 9 of those as management I could never been so rude to workers who come to work and do their best. He obviously is in the wrong profession and I get that retail is tough but your staff only works as hard as you do. He honestly seemed miserable to be there. His attitude was written all over his face, rude tone, no name tag. This store needs some new management read more

I had spent all day out shopping looking for the prefect dress. After hours it was a relief to walk into Burlington! I found loads of amazingly priced dresses. It was no time at all before I had a whole collection to try on. The staff was super friendly and nice. They helped me find everything. It turned my long day into a great experience.
