I'm going back to this store JUST to get greeted by Josiah (or Hosiah?) on the right in the photo. What an absolute positive soul. Malcom's great too, but you can't help but feel happy to shop with such light that shines from Josiah. There are a million things in there to buy. It is like TJMx , RS and HomeG had a baby and all the good qualities are mixed into one store. The selection of gift options were solid. There are some good bargains and super bargains if you like the hunt. I was also really impressed by how quickly the line moved and the cashier's friendly attitude. I will be back on the days I need a build up positive attitude mostly. That young man should work at Dutch Bros. God bless him for the light he shines. Tonight we were at the store and he kindly asked someone to leave their bag as it is policy and they immediately got rude. Then they started just being extra about the situation. They tried to say it was all the security's fault even though he was just doing his job!! even his fellow coworkers were doing the most especially the old lady!. saying for him to leave and it was all his fault he literally did nothing but his job. He was sent home, berated and belittled. He's always so respectful and full of energy when we come to this location and for everyone to go against him is outrageous he's never been rude to anyone and we go to this location a lot. It's worth taking your time and walking down each aisle. I'm a Ross shopper and hadn't been here in years. Tried it for Christmas and it was the best choice I made to take advantage of my budget that I set aside. I love this store. Every time I go there I find something I absolutely love. It's like an addiction for me. So many great clothes. And the sweater collections during Christmas time was phenomenal. The Christmas decorations were also fantastic. The security guys at the front door are always nice helpful and polite. They also have a real good kids section although the I also real tiny to get your cart down it's a pain. This is probably the worst Burlington Coat Factory in all of Phoenix. They say that they're fitting room "doesn't work" which is a complete lie. It's literally three walls in a curtain and when I asked the security guard about it, he said just take your shirt off and try on the shirts at the end of the aisles where their mirrors like dude what the fuck are you even saying? I get it. There's a lot of homeless that live in the metro center area but anytime you go to this Burlington or you go to the Ross across the street or even the Walmart in the area it just makes you feel like they think you're a thief being on top of you checking your receipt when you're leaving. This is the only place in Phoenix that has this type of energy You go to any of these Burlington's on Bell. No one acts like this. They don't tell you stuff like that I literally will never step foot in this Burlington in Metro Center ever again. I came to Burlington off of Peoria following the Christmas times schedule Dec 24th-30th Wednesday at 7AM open. Tom the store manager was adjusting the time at the door to 8AM which was fine i suppose but then he opens the door and said you might as well come in I don't know what the hell people are doing here at Burlington this early in the morning on Christmas Eve , I responded des with getting last minute gifts, he tried to apologize but I was really in shock how he treated me and was acting especially on the holidays. I see a review about a young lady getting yelled at for sitting in a chair that she was wanting to buy. That same manager did the same thing to me a couple days ago. I was sitting in the chair I was going to purchase in line. I am pregnant and was hurting. I didn't think there was a problem with me sitting in a chair I was in line with to purchase. Just came from a nice dinner and wanted to spend some money. We went through the men's clothing area and then to the pet department to look at the pet beds. We had found a computer chair that we were going to buy in the pet area/auto. My girlfriend was sitting in it trying it out and felt it was comfortable enough to purchase when the manager Maria came out of the backroom she was staring at us and proceeded to tell my girlfriend she couldn't sit in the chair. My girlfriend said "We're going to buy it" Maria the manager said you can't sit in it even if you're buying it. She says we have signs up all in furniture saying you can't sit on the furniture. We didn't even go to furniture to even know that and mind you we haven't been to this store in longer than 5 years. She was absolutely rude and waiting for my girlfriend to get up off the chair. We told her then we're not going to buy it cause of the way she talked to us and approached us. She says ok and took the chair. You missed out on a $50 sale cause of your bad customer service. The whole time she was on her phone scrolling on social media the whole time while carrying a in & out Soda. Then proceeded to follow us the whole time after like we were criminals. When we got to the front we asked the cashier Narda for the managers name and she responded why all rudely. We asked what the return policy was after our first purchase and said pet items were not refundable after the fact. So with my second purchase I put the 2nd pet bed back. Don't waste your time going to the Burlington coat factory located on 7th Street and Bell road in phoenix. When they first opened up I went in there with my small bag and they refuse to let me in. They said no backpacks allowed which it was not a backpack and it was real small so if somebody was the still you couldn't really put nothing in there. I called customer service and told them about my situation and I talked to the store manager and he refused to change any kind of rules or help out or anything like that. You can argue the decent prices or the amount of product in the store, It definitely has all of that. It also has poor and inconsiderate customer service representatives, And apparently over aggressive lost prevention staff. And employees who think it's funny to mess with customers by taking their cards and things like that while they're shopping. To the degree that they took my friend's cart that which had her personnel and it took over an hour to locate her purse afterwards. I was not impressed by the way the staff acted or handled the situation, Or how upset she was while we were shopping because of this. There are an assortment of beauty products available for picking you just have to have patience when searching for what you want as the products are not categorized by products or name brand. Two weeks ago, I shopped at this location for the 3rd time. When we first moved here, I found wonderful furnishings for our home. The shelves were organized for the most part and the clerks were helpful. This last time, many shelves especially the beauty care section were depleted and in disarray. There were more shady looking people walking around, and there were hardly any customer service people around. To add insult to injury, I was pick-pocketed that night! Because of its convenient location, and my hope that there were cucumber make-up wipes, I went to shop at this location again. This time I was with my son because he needed khaki pants. I was happy to say that they straightened up the beauty care section, and it was well restocked. However, the rating still remains low because the fitting room floors were peppered with dangerous straight pins everywhere. It is so disappointing. read more

Just had the most bizarre experience at this store tonight. The woman on the left locked the store doors early, we walked up and she told us through the locked doors that they closed at 9:45PM and that the registers were closed. That was obviously a huge lie so when I pressed her, she unlocked the doors and let us inside to shop. One of the women immediately got on the intercom at 9:48PM and said that the registers were already closed. I started looking around and the woman in the photo on the left and another younger Hispanic woman followed me and my girls around the store continuously telling us that the registers were closing before 10PM so I pulled out my phone and asked them to say that on video and they wouldn't which proved they were lying again. They then had the woman on the right come over to tell me that the floor was closing at 10PM...I totally get wanting to close on time but harassing your customers, especially during this economic downturn is rude and disastrous for any business. read more

This is a big location and I like that their store is well organized! Other store we have gone to are a mess. We can usually spend a few hours here looking at everything, and there many great deals to be found if you have the time to look for them. They also have so many random items that you can find in "normal" stores. Their kids section is a bit small. The only reason I'm knocking a star off is the number of homeless people in the area. From my car to the entrance I was approached 3 times by men asking for money. Otherwise it's a good store in a good location! read more

Compared to the location I prefer (Ironically, Desert Sky), this Burlington is a little more...uh...humble than I expected, hence the "Warehouse" moniker. As you should expect, there's a great selection of athletic wear. It's that time of year when we bandwagon futbol for FIFA, and there's racks on racks of sporty soccer shirts and jerseys. Prices are very reasonable. I made my way toward other athletic wear, and was delighted to find tons of shorts made for long-legged guys like me. I appreciate it. Of course, there will be the dressy selection as well. It was just a little bit small for my taste. I'm also underwhelmed by shirt sizes. Places like H&M, Van Heusen, or even Banana Republic have 36/37 sleeves without assuming the customer will be like 400 pounds. I feel like I would have to get the most simple items tailored. Bummer. At least the tie selection is very stylish, and has surprisingly low prices. If I want something casual, IDK about this store. I didn't find much as far as jeans. What a bummer. Still though, it's worth a shot if you're looking for cheap workout clothes, or maybe a nice shirt/tie for you men out there of average height. read more

Came to do some cold weather shopping, have not been here in years and someone said we needed to go check it out. It was not what I remembered from the last time I came. The store seemed old and worn down, so I cant really tell if it appeared dirty from age or was just dirty. Looked around and found a couple items, but prices seems a bit high for quality and brand of items. Everything seemed disorganized. But for my bargain shoppers I could see deals, but you have too look and be patient. I used to remember they had more name brand items but I could be wrong. I would not shop at this store again. I put something in layaway and I came to the store to get it out of layaway and I was 2 days late and they gave me $1.41 for an item that I already paid $17.43 and all I wanted was the item but they said I had to pay for it again if I want the item. I asked them if they could deduct the $17.43 that I already paid and they said "NO". The layaway used to be 60 days and now they changed it to 30 days without notice. I was only a couple days late and they wouldn't even honor it. They told me that someone should have called me to let me know I was coming up on my deadline for my layaway. They were so rude and all I wanted was the item I put in layaway and they told me that I had to pay full price when I already paid $17.43, which is ridiculous. I contacted cooperate and the store and they said there's nothing they can do that is wrong. read more

My sister and I had gone out yesterday to look for a sweater/jacket. We had gone to this convenient location off the I-17 freeway and did not find what we were looking for. The store layout had me thinking I was in a thrift store. The pricing was reasonable for the selection they had out on the clean sales floor. We also were not greeted nor received any service by a sales associate while we were shopping as the sales associates never attempted to make my shopping experience better... sadly my sister and I left without making a purchase. Yesterday (18-June) around 1 pm, we stopped to purchase a baby stroller. My phone went dead and i needed to plug it in real fast to get an address for an appt i had at 3 pm. I got my phone to turn on to look real fast at my email. In less then 5 mins a lady came over and was SUPER RUDE to me and told me i needed to leave the store. I explained to her my mom was shopping and i just needed to look up an email. She told me again to leave the store. Im sure they thought i was homeless. Then she said she would have someone come help me get up. What the hell. When i went and find my mom i told her what happened. She said she wasnt ready to leave, she came to shop. Im sure they watched me push my mom around in her wheelchair the rest of the time while we shopped. I will never go in that store again. I've been coming to this location for about 18 years. My first foray was when I was outfitting my son's nursery. I scored great deals for a changing table and bassinet, other baby gear, clothes. I've bought other baby shower/bridal shower/ wedding gift items for family & friends. The store falls into the TJ Max/Marshalls/semi Ross category. Very similar in concept. My recent score were a couple of cute tops and a sweater for a fall vacation in the Northeast. Loved the prices on purses. They have high end bedding at incredibly low prices. Same with housewares. Some holiday items but not overkill. More for decorative purposes. One thing I've always scored at Burlington is great catering serveware! Over the years, they've cleaned up the dressing rooms which used to be in the middle of the store higgledepiggledy. This in turn, used to be jam-packed with tried on clothes and not enough attendants. More sales people on the floor now. All were super helpful. Dressing rooms located on a side wall in a controlled environment. They've done some store fixtures remodeling. The layout is much better and easier to navigate. Decent size Men's, children's, baby, juniors, women's, plus size departments and shoes Security guard is in front of store to ensure safety and service. read more

Restrooms were out of order and they refused to let my potty training 2 year old or myself (9 months pregnant) use their bathrooms. The employee had no concern at all and just shrugged his shoulders. The store was a mess and merchandise was all over and unorganized. We ended up leaving a basket of stuff we had wanted to buy because we had to run to find a bathroom. I am a Burlington coat factory fan. I have been to four in the phx area. this one is good and is close to my house so i keep coming back, but my favorite one is the one in AZ Mills (since they are remodeling, everything is so neat) but the purse selection is not the best. My favorite Burlington to shop for guys stuff is the one in desert sky. and my favorite one for purses is the one on 45th street and thomas. I would like to add that I have never had an issue with any one being rude or delivering poor customer service. This location is a bit more messy compared to others but i I blame some of the customers for letting their children grab everything and for not putting the things where they were picked up. Including myself (I have gotten so much better, after working in retail for 6 months). I have previously returned so many things and i LOVE the fact that now you dont need a receipt since your phone number will have all the information needed! is so great because instead of getting store credit if you loose your receipt you will be getting the form of payment returned to you! The cashier accidentally broke a candle stand that I was buying and the management stepped in and offered a replacement that cost more, demanding I pay the difference for an item I didn't want, since they didn't have the exact some item she was super rude and unfriendly I just ended up taking the money back for it and not getting the other one she didn't even apologize for it. read more

I have been to this BCF on a few different occasions. The selections vary depending on what you're looking for. There are tons of options for juniors, but I felt that the "women's" section was lacking. Their shoe selection is hit or miss; there are lots of shoes for all sizes, but it's really disorganized (missing shoes, shoes in the wrong size section, etc). The service is good while walking around the store (I usually have at least one employee greet me), but when you get to the register, the cashiers seem less than thrilled to be working there. read more

I don't shop here often, but I really like the little kitchen appliances, the decorating knick knacks. A month ago I went in and bought two electronics: A sooo cute Air Pop Popcorn Maker - it looked like a little red wagon! That night I went to put it together and ONE piece was missing, the top part that covers the top and lets you hold your popcorn in that container. Well the next day I took it back, told them my problem. They offered my money back or get another one. I chose another one - it was just too cute. But before I walked out of the store, I opened it and checked it. :( It was missing the same piece! So I just got my money back. The second thing I had got was a blender. I finally put it together last night. When grabbing the last piece I heard a tinkling noise. I looked and saw broken pieces inside the box. :( The part that turns the blades was cracked in pieces! GRrrrr!!! So I took it back last night. The lady was super nice and gave me my money back with no problem. She just asked what was wrong, I showed her and she processed everything. It was disappointing that two major appliances I purchased were pretty much lemons. But the cashiers made it so easy on returning my items. I was worried at first with the blender because I didn't want them to accuse me of breaking it. But it was broken at a spot that it couldn't have been broken from the store to my house.
