It's a 45 min mat pilates class taught by Abby and Melanie. May 30th was their last rooftop class for now until it gets cooler out again. My cousins happened to find the event and 4 of us joined since there was a 2 for 1 deal (about $11 each!). It was my first time taking a mat pilates class and I loved it, minus the burning sun part. If this were in spring or fall, it would be perfect! I parked one below in the shade and as soon as I walked up, I could already hear the music the dj had on and it was just my kinda music. Surrounding the grass area were different vendors including Starbucks, a matcha bar, skin care, tarot, gummies, protein bars, bread and cookies, women's health, massages, IV shots, health coaching and merch. The details of the event didn't say to bring our own mat so two of us forgot to pack one. Luckily, the instructors had a bunch of extras for anyone who forgot. They also provided bands for everyone. Those bands killed us. You'll feel the burn the next day. In fact, my whole body was sore for a few days and I started feeling it already that same night. After the class ended, we browsed the vendors. I purchased some gummies (hair/nails and energy), had a quick tarot reading done, grabbed some freebies and 2purchased matchas. There was no other merchandise between us so how in the heck could I have shopped lifted any items, which I would not have done. And, I am usually pretty easy to please working in service related professions for 40 years, Are they in chapter 11? I feel bad for the representatives working at this store and for such a bad company. If it wasn't for the fact I have been looking for work pants for three years and no one makes them except these amazing pants by Vera Wang and only available at Kohls I would never walk into a Kohls ever again. I held for an hour on the phone this week to fix a credit card issue. I had a lot of Kohls cash I did not want to waste. The staff cannot get through either with any issues. They got hung up on twice and said they have to hold an hour even as an associate, which is very odd. How do they help customers? When they ring it up no message even comes up or code to say what is wrong so the staff does not even know what the issue is. After an hour on hold, no live chat, no email, no way to get help except call, the woman who answered was so rude I was shocked. She also did not speak english so I had no idea what she was saying half the time. She assured me my card was fixed and promised me no more problems which was a lie. I tried to use my new Kohls cash online and the same thing happened. Is it a scam so one does not get to use their Kohls cash? At the end of the call she said, "well we have 500 calls on hold in cue so too bad." What???????? I totally understood that comment, Also, tonight I tried to live chat and the agent hung up on me after telling me I had to call again and they would not help me. What the heck is wrong with this company? Call again and hold for over an hour? Ridiculous Kohls. Get your act together. And they have no email message option to use. When I asked them to credit me my time and for those lost Kohls Cash coupons I was told no. Again as a customer service manager this appalled me. I am shocked at the horrendous service. How do they stay open? Also, why is the dressing rooms always so disgustingly filfthy? I mean big chunks of gross and disgusting dust and who knows what balls and wads in the rooms. Every now and then, it's nice to stroll through the Biltmore Fashion Park. My wife and I…read moreoccasionally make it to a meal or to shop or even play at the Biltmore (or yes, a stroll). I also sometimes meet up with friends or family or even head there on my own. There's something for everyone and plenty to see and do; however, some of my favorite stores and restaurants have closed and been replaced over the years. It also happens to be where my wife and I had our first date! The Biltmore Fashion Park is known for some great restaurants. While there are some upscale and casual restaurants there, my favorites include Seasons 52 or True Food for a good meal and Frost a Gelato Shoppe for dessert. I really enjoy having several Fox restaurants at the Biltmore. There are also many other restaurants in the area. Several of the restaurants have great happy hours, too. I miss the Crepe Club though several other restaurants have opened since then. There are also plenty of shops from upscale shops to more casual ones like Lululemon and Sakes 5th Avenue. There are fancy clothing stores that my wife may enjoy though I typically enjoy the nice courtyard or seating outside some of the stores while she shops. Then, we grab a bite somewhere together. I miss the Apple Store and Sharper Image but look forward to what is opened next. There are also experiences from the Sip & Stroll (where you can enjoy a beverage from one of six restaurants and then walk around), meet-up with the Phoenix Run Club, the Art Walk, the Swiftie Liftie Outdoor Workout Class, or one of a number of galas or special events. Decent parking and I found a close handicapped space for the van. Event started promptly at 5:30. A few vendors including our very own Yelp Elite Event spot in Gilbert -Pixie sticks. They had a nice boutique there with an assortment of their items for sale. Joining them with booths were PetSmart (pup cups), a couple dog rescue orgs, and a Halloween photographer. There was also great music and really good cash bar making some excellent cocktails. It was a free event. The cocktails were $9 apiece... decent value. Topped it off with dinner at ZinBurger before I left. There's a few great restaurants up there, so will probably back despite the long drive.
